A charming alien, a single mom, and an adventurous journey…

Dora was fooled once by a charming smile and pretty words; she’s not about to let it happen again, especially now that she has a baby. And especially when those charming smiles come from a reckless, golden-furred alien who irritates her as much as he arouses her.

Naffon joined the military looking for adventure. Instead he was forced to fight in a war which still haunts him, even though he hides his pain behind a cheerful smile. Despair makes him reckless - until he suddenly becomes responsible for a pretty, irritating female and her adorable daughter.

When Dora and Naffon are forced to travel together as husband and wife, Dora begins to see a different side to the massive alien warrior. But can she trust his new tenderness? And can Naffon overcome his demons to become the male that Dora and her daughter need?

Each book in this series features a different couple and may be read as a standalone, but the books do link together. This sweet and steamy series is intended for mature readers.

This was really cute. A small stressful event in the middle, but mostly cozy. He calls her little mouse and I can’t get over it

Really enjoyed this book. Nice light read to get you stuck in with great characters and some nice saucy scenes. Naffon is so sweet and is currently my favourite. He was smitten with Dora and Angel straight away. Another great entry into the series.

Big, sweet (and golden!) Naffon is up and his special lady friend is Dora, the wary single mom who wants a fresh start with her baby. Dora left home at the end of book 2 and Naffon (being the smitten gentleman he is) followed as soon as the family found out. It took some time to find her, but soon these two were shacking up and pretending to be married so no one would question a single mom caravanning her way to a new life.

So. Book 2 had Dora pretending to be her baby's sister because she didn't want anyone in their small town giving her the side eye for having a baby without being married. Naffon and the others at the farm figured the truth out pretty quickly and it 100% didn't matter to them that Angel was her daughter, but Dora didn't know this. So she set out to start a new life somewhere no one knew her. Naffon following her wasn't part of her plan, but soon she was glad the big guy was in the picture.

On Naffon's end, he was intrigued by Dora from their first meeting, but she was wary and tried to keep her distance. Once they were on the road...well, keeping her distance didn't work too well and tight quarters make for interesting nights.

A little danger, a road trip that had some ups and downs, a baby who is pretty much universally adored, a warrior with a heart of gold, and a human lady who could only fight against her attraction for so long. MAN, I like these aliens and their devotion to their special someones.

Alright, Dora grew on me here ;)
We've met Dora in the last book, where she pretended that Angel was her sister because she was afraid of people in Wainwright treating her daughter badly as she was born out of wedlock and the little town was very conservative. When she arrived with her stepmother and brother on the farm with the alien warriors it quickly became obvious for them that Angel was hers, but it didn't matter to them. Dora decided she needed to start a new life somewhere far from Wainwright so she could be the mother to her baby and she fled during the night with little Angel. Naffon was obsessed with her since their chance meeting in town, so he went after her as soon as they learned that Dora was gone.
Dora was much better in this book, she was a good mother and stopped being a weepy mess. She took action to better her and her daughter's lives and wanted to become an independent single mom. She joined a caravan of settlers to move to a small town on the other side of the mountains, but sadly she ran into an asshole that wanted to use her there.
Naffon found her just in time to save her from unwanted advances and pretend to be her husband ;) He was a great guy, caring, loving and passionate. He was also great with Angel, not even a grumble when the kiddo was fussy, and he claimed her as his with conviction and without resentment that he would be raising other man's child.
Their journey quickly brought them together and all the hardships along the way made them a great team!

It’s another hit and a home run!

I had to give the story a five star because it was five star awesome. I would definitely read this one again. DORA and Naffon’s story is full of adventure and suspense love and romance and definitely on my repeat Reads list. It seems that every other story in the series thus far has been girl meets alien at the farm forced to spend time together because of a winter storm and inevitably falls in love. What makes this story stand out from the rest is that DORA runs away to find a better life for her daughter because she wanted to claim her daughter as hers instead of the town of Wainwright thinking that Angel was her sister instead of her daughter. So she wanted to start a new life in a new place claiming her daughter and living happily ever after. She goes on this adventure of visiting remote towns to select one of them and of course Naffon follows her saves her from Sawyer, who was trying to abuse her, accompanies her on her journey to find her self across the desert with a caravan. Eventually they lose everything and must find their way back together to the farm. It’s a love story of adventure and lust and little Angel. Great story.

(This review is really for the whole series because, OMG, I couldn't stop reading.)

If you’re a fan of westerns with some spice and the MMC is an alien instead of human, then this is the series for you. Each of these books is about a human female who meets/pairs with one of a group of aliens who are healing from their own war wounds. They are working the land on an earth-like planet and the women are likewise trying to figure out their lives.

Initially, I wondered how many different storylines you could come up along the same theme. Well, Honey Phillips doesn’t disappoint.

Each story is as individual as the MMC and MFC that fall in love. And when I say, I couldn’t put the books (ebooks) down, I am not lying. I read through the whole series over the course of a weekend and then waited impatiently for #7 to be released in June.

Each of the characters is endearing and fallible and wounded. I found myself rooting for each and every one of them. I have the release date for number 8 in my calendar and I can hardly wait!

“I will leave once you no longer need me.”

Dora was introduced in the previous book. Ida's stepdaughter is a woman, an adult in so many ways, and yet just barely out of her teen gears, a fact that shows up not just in her innocent dealings with men but some of her awkward attempts to face the challenges of adulthood.

Naffon thought patience was the way to win Dora, but a proverbial slap in the face was a wake up call that he needs to do something different. Fortunately for him his commander cares enough to offer some words of wisdom before he confronts Dora... but can he win her heart?

This done in one Kindle unlimited book is a richer read for those who have read Temel, but stands solidly on its own. Dora is struggling to find her place in the world, and part of that is dealing with how others see her, and talk about her, and how she feels about their judgment. Sometimes forgiving ourselves for past mistakes, and actions, is the hardest thing we can do.

I love how one story seamlessly continues to the next.
Naffon set out in search Dora and Angel.
I love how in his search he realizes just what she means to him .He is protective and wants what's only the best for her.
Dora and Angel from the very first day after leaving the farm run into trouble. Wolf in sheep's clothing type of trouble.
I liked that they are learning from each other as well as surviving.
They run into more trouble while traveling in the caravan.
As always the perfect HEA.
Action, suspense and of course steam to the romance. Well written. I love the world building . I can see and feel the emotions of both of them. Humor in just the right places.
I can't wait for the next warrior to find him HEA.

Dora sells her late mother’s jewelry in hopes of providing a better life for her daughter. She slips away in the middle of the night and leaves her stepmother a note. After a chance encounter with Naffon an golden alien also has left her shook. This brief encounter playing over in her mind.
Unable to stop thinking about Dora, Naffon sets off in search of her and her daughter Angel. Thankfully finding them both in the nick of time and saving them from an horrible situation.
He offers to pose as her husband and father to her baby to at least get her settled down somewhere.
Over the course of traveling together a little family begins to take root, Naffon and Dora are drawn to each other.
Book ends in an HEA.

Reading Naffon is a great adventure! Naffon goes off to find Dora when she takes her daughter and leaves the alien warrior’s farm and her family in the middle of the night. Naffon and Dora are actually on two journeys - one physical and one emotional, as they travel across Cresca. They are a couple that you can’t help cheering for as they face challenges and some danger. Both of them find what they were looking for in each other. Dora grows up a lot when facing challenges, and Naffon faces his past and changes as well. I love a good story of growth and redemption with a lot of spice, and that is exactly the story Honey wrote. It is exciting, heartwarming, and the happily-ever-after ending is perfect! I can’t wait to learn more about S’kal in the next book!

Naffon takes on a personal mission to find Dora and baby Angel who left in the night to start a new life. (This is kind of a continuation from Temel, so I highly recommend you read book 2 in the series.) This story had some ANGST. I was on pins and needles several times. All sorts of things could have gone wrong on this journey and some did! Naffon was the hero in this story. He totally found his place, he just needed direction and a personal goal to get there. I think Dora finally discovered who she was, too.

You need to read this story because:
**Big alien male to the rescue and fake relationship trope, yay!
**We definitely have proximity vibes here.
**Naffon is honorable, gentle with his girls, a protector, and resourceful.
**The spice was NICE!
**There's a great heap of angst in this one and I AM HERE FOR IT!

This series is so much fun! Naffon and Dora are the sweetest couple. 4 stars, 3 spice emojis

Sweet story !!

I Always smile when I read these lovely stories !!!
In thus story Dora , the step daughter of Ida is feeling a !little but list with her place on the farm. She is truly happy for Ida and Temel , but she feels as though she must make her own way .
So , she leaves a note , and sets off .
In the morning no one us happy that Does and baby Angel has left .
Especially Naffon!!! He volunteers to go and find her . Bring her back if possible .
Just one thing though. She can't stand him !!!
Isn't that a beautiful beginning ???
As Dora and Naffon begin their adventure we have a chance to see much more of Cresca. And its many inhabitants . And an old friend or two may pop up , which is always a special treat !!!
Love these stories !!!

LOVED! Naffon is such a wonderful character! Sweet, sexy, growly, protective and loving in perfect measure. Dora is sweet, loving and so caring..totally relatable. Dora leaves the farm to find a new start where she can freely admit Angel is her own without being harshly judged. Naffon goes after her to bring her home. They have many adventures during which they find deep, wonderful love. I absolutely adore this How The Alien's Were Won Series. Honey creates magic with the Alien westerns she writes. They remind you of old friends but are totally new and fresh. Wish I could give 100 stars..it is so worth it.

Naffon is a big snuggle. That’s the best way I can describe this book. It’s wholesome and sweet and honest. No massive secrets are revealed, just a persistent guy who wants to keep two people he cares about safe. I quite liked that we got more background on Naffon. It helped me situate him as a character in my mind. Dora was a bit harder for me to warm up to. I can understand her wanting to leave but as much as she talked about needing to be a responsible mother, what she did was not responsible. It was cowardly and selfish to leave the way she did. I was glad to see the character development she showed. Also any Angel and Naffon interaction was just adorable.

This is quite the adventure as Dora leaves the farm to find a new place to live and bring up her precious daughter. When her stepmother and her mate discover Dora has left, Naffon agrees to go looking for her to ensure she is safe. Naffon chooses to help Dora find her new location so they travel together in a wagon train. A mishap along the way puts them in danger. They initially pretend to be married but, as they fight for their and the baby's safety, they find themselves falling hard for each other. This story has unexpected and steamy romance, wonderful characters (to include a sweet baby) and a very happy ending for all.

Another fabulous new book in the How the Aliens Were Won series! Naffon takes the reader away from the town of Wainwright and into the wild. The feel of the old-time westerns is strong here with "wagon trains" and the danger of being beyond civilization. The characters are great, with greater depth than first glance and plenty of action kept me reading past my bedtime. Each book has me looking forward to the next one. Enjoy!.

What an adventure!
I love the way Dora faces adversity and masters some very challenging times. She’s matured so much since we last saw her. What can I say about Naffon? I love him! As much as he wants/admires Dora, he doesn’t make a move beyond her consent. He goes all out to keep her and Angel safe. He’s an admirable male. Dora’s decision to create a new life for herself and Angel leads to some extraordinary adventures: heart-stopping danger mixed with blossoming romance. I couldn’t ask for anything better! Splendid storytelling!

Honey Phillips creates these alien adventures in romance. Naffon {How the Aliens Were Won Book 3] is no exception. This was an enjoyable single mom romance who leaves her stepmom and brother to find a new life with her daughter Angel. Naffon is the protective alien who go after Dora to bring her home, because his home is wherever she and her daughter are. These two have adventures that only pull them closer together. This is Honey Phillips magic!

“We need to stop before I lose control.”
“What if I want you to lose control? What if I don’t want you to stop?”

I enjoyed this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. It was a fun adventure, and I was quickly hooked. After the previous book, I was looking forward to Dora and Naffon's story. This story was a journey for Dora that she needed to make for herself. But of course Naffon won't let her go alone. I enjoyed the way the relationship between the two of them built. I also liked the domesticity of it with baby Angel. 4 stars.

A fantastic adventure

This was a fantastic adventure for the young couple as Dora struggled to come to terms with the old-fashioned ideals of Wainwright and the malicious gossip of a small western-like town.

Dora was not the only one to face fears as Naffon struggled to come to terms with PTSD after the war and following his commander, Temel, to start a new life on Cresca.

All the characters are very relatable as both old and new aliens either return are introduced for the first time. It's always refreshing to see. I highly recommend this series.

Nice adventure

Dora is more running from her past than seeking out adventure. She wants to start over where she came claim her baby rather than pretend it's her sister.
Naffon has wanted her from their first meeting but felt he had to earn her love. Their travels lead them to adventure and to each other
Honestly I'd probably give this book 4.5 stars if it was an option since it does not have great depths of feeling or grand adventures. But I might stick with 5 because its a fun read that held my attention and I didn't put it down til it was finished

All the old West tropes, done beautifully on an alien planet! We return to Cresca to finish the story we saw played out in Temel. Naffon has gone searching for Dora and her baby, Angel. Many adventures await as Nassan tries to convince Dora that she should be his mate. The story telling is fun and makes for a great read.

Naffon wants his little mouse and her daughter Angel, but first he must find her and convince her to be his. He also needs to conquer his demons from war
Dora needs to think about her future and her daughter. She doesn't need someone she's attracted to as well as irritated by. Until she does need him.
Honey has written another beautiful tale full of sweetness, danger, poignant moments, danger, nasty bad guy, steam and love.

Naffon and Dora are a great couple. They each have their own challenges to deal with but despite their inner turmoil they don't just discount the other. As ever there is the underlying humour betweem the two which just adds that special ingredient to make the perfect mix. There is action, the chance of healing from the past, redemption and best of all a very well deserved happy ending all with a dash of the wild west to it. Perfect!

This book was very good and I absolutely loved it! Full of adventure and suspense.
My favorite part was how it was different from the other books in the series.
Dora left to make a life for herself with her daughter in a place where she doesn't need to hide who Angle is. Naffon follows her to bring her back to her sister....

I wasn't expecting a lot from this one, based on the first two, but this is definitely the strongest book in the series. I think it helps that Dora and Naffon had somewhat of a relationship established, and that they had pretty much the whole book to themselves. That gave more space on the page for them to figure out themselves (since they're both fairly young!) and to navigate their bidding romantic relationship.

Another adorable couple to add to this series! I didn't care for Dora in the previous book, but gaining her pov definitely helped and I grew to love her. She was a great mother to Angel, and once she accepted Naffon's affection, she became more sure of herself. And Naffon was the quiet, steadfast support Dora needed. I also thoroughly enjoyed the shift in location of the story and seeing more of this planet.
