Every relationship is built on trust…but when it’s built on lies, will it crumble before it ever truly begins? Football has been everywhere I looked, basically since I was born. Which makes sense, considering that my dad owns one of the best teams in the country, and he would love nothing more than to see me take over the team someday. And I would love to be able to help him with that, but I’m an influencer, best known as Rubie, and I would much rather spend my time focusing on fashion and the social media that I’m actually passionate about. The less I have to hear about football, the better. I’m Ollie, and the opposite is true for me. Football in my life, but when I meet Rubie at a department store and she wants to talk about anything but football, I’m more than happy to oblige. Sparks fly and our relationship starts off with a bang, literally, but I expect it to be a one-night stand and to never see Rubie again. Instead, she is the daughter of the man that I work for, and I can’t believe I screwed up this bad. Can we figure out our differences, or is football just the first on a long list of things that we don’t agree on? Other books in the series (so far): Fumbled- Hawk's book Sacked- Chase's book Tackled- Bam's book

I was looking forward to Ollie and Ruby’s book. But I was very disappointed. Very little conflict, never even got to see who won the SuperBowl in the book. It jumped from a few days before the big game to years after in the epilogue but it does not even tell is how far or how many years we jumped to the epilogue. I feel the Ollie and Ruby did not get the story they deserved.

Ollie finds his match…

“God’s Gift” to football and the team owner’s daughter, both have an aversion to their public identities. They would like to be admired as “regular” people but that’s almost impossible with the popularity of the Rapids. When they run into each other at the team’s favorite after-game bar, the sparks fly but they have no idea who the other is. Loving knowing that they’re liked for themselves not their name or career, they both put off telling the other who they are.
The fourth book in the Storm Valley Rapids series, Snap is an excellent continuation of the camaraderie between the players and their ladies.

Loved Rubie and Ollie.

Rubie just wants her life to be normal after everything she's had to deal with. Especially with her father being the owner of the Rapids.

Ollie has just meet this Rubie by accident. But when she doesn't realize who he is, he is excited. He can be normal and see where this goes.

When they both realize they haven't told the other who they really are, can they find a way to forgive and be together forever?.

Every relationship is built on trust…but when it’s built on lies, will it crumble before it ever truly begins? Will Ollie and Rubie figure out their differences, or is football just the first on a long list of things that they don’t agree on?

Huddled by Lizzi Stone is the fourth book in the Chesapeake Commanders novel series. We meet Rubie & Ollie who are total opposites in every way. Rubie is the owner's daughter and her father owns one of the best teams ìn the country and he would like nothing more than for Rubie to take over the team someday. At the beginning of the story, she comes off as a brat, however as the story progresses we see her for her feisty attitude. She fits in well with Ollie’s laid back and humble personality and they make a fantastic couple. They have great chemistry and I love their banter. I loved how the author developed their characters from enemies to lovers. I love the progression of the series through the team members I enjoyed how the whole team and girlfriends interacted and were all there for each other. The world built by the author is an interesting one with lots of fantastic supporting characters, many of whom you hope will return with their own stories. This is a dual POV, sports romance,  fun, easy read that I recommend if you are in need of a feel-good romance, opposite attraction this one  is for you.I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to Romance Me With Books and Lizzi Stone for this gifted e ARC

My Rate: ⭐⭐⭐ 3/5

The writing in this book was good, I liked the character development of Rubie (even though I would have liked a bit more development on Ollie and his story), the beginning was very entertaining, and despite some cringy humor attempts, it was very enjoyable.

The conflict resolution was a bit too fast for me and a bit dramatic also. And the whole pranking and fighting with Pinky just sounded childish for a bunch of grown adults and professional players (especially over confetti). The talk between the 4 main guys was not really believable to me (or at least I refuse to believe that that is how 4 grown men talk)

Equality rate: ⭐⭐⭐ 3/5

This was really neutral, equality wise, just losing some points over really bad communication between the couple, and because this book presented the perfect opportunity for a “Girls in Sports” plot, but it got an “I’m a girl who doesn’t care about football” which just feeds the stereotype.

Adjectives and general thoughts: The premise was very cool, and the execution itself had some small issues, but this was the best I’ve read by Lizzi so far.

Huddled by Lizzi Stone was such a fun book! I really enjoyed the dynamic between the two in this story, and I can't wait for you to meet them. This book has been my favorite in the series so far because it was just so fun and unique. This book is also a football book, and I just love myself a good football book. Who doesn't though?! Great job, Lizzi!

Ollie and Rubie were such a fun couple to experience! I absolutely loved how the author portrayed both of them and their relationship. They are so dynamic, but I am completely in love with them. When I met Rubie I thought she was a total brat, but she's truly not. There's so much to her that we just don't know, and I am so pleased that I finally got to get to know her. You will absolutely love her.
Now with Ollie (God's Gift) it was so much fun to peel back all of his layers. Ugh, I just can't wait for you to meet them! In order to do that, please go check out Huddled by Lizzi Stone!

Ollie has been my favorite Commander from the beginning. I had really high hopes. It wasn’t exactly what I envisioned but it was a good story. I loved Rubie’s feisty attitude and how well she fit with Ollie’s laid back and humble persona. I wish we had seen more of Ollie’s mom, she was hilarious. I enjoyed the development of Ollie and Rubie’s relationship. From the half truths, to the fake photo, to the bet, I liked how they handled it all. Some things seemed to move a little too quickly but I enjoyed how the whole team and girlfriends interacted and were all there for each other. The only other thing that bothered me was Pinky and his goons. Not sure really what role they were supposed to play other than bullies. It fit well with the rest of the books and I enjoyed reading it.

Huddled is the fourth book in the Chesapeake Commanders Series. This dual POV, sports romance is a fun, entertaining read. In Huddled, we get to read about Ollie. When Ollie meets Rubie, he is instantly smitten. Rubie, who happens to be the daughter of the Chesapeake Commanders coach is also smitten. When Rubie and Ollie start talking and hanging out, they both fail to mention who they really are for fear the other will only be interested in their social status or money. But eventually, the truth comes out and both are shocked, but mad at one another for not saying who they really are. Ollie and Rubie are such a sweet, fun couple. You will fall in love with them and their story. If you love a good sports romance, this book is one you won't want to miss.

This was such a fun book to read. You will truly enjoy Ollie and Rubie. It’s a football romance and I love them so much. I almost didn’t read the entire book because I was a bit annoyed by Rubie at first but then you get to know her differently thanks to how the author shows us a did side of her. It was just a really good book that I recommend you grab you will enjoy it.

Classic opposites attract when a one-night stand between Ollie 'God's Gift' Parker and Rubie leads to something more that neither of them wanted. One life changing bet puts everything on the line. Rubie is a strong female lead. Ollie is sweet, my favorite commander.

I enjoyed Ollie and Rubie’s story. The moment I lay eyes on him, I was gone. He was a nice, regular guy, with only a passing interest in my least favourite thing in the world—the Dusk Bay Sharks gridiron team. The team owned by her father. She was the red haired knockout who took his breath away. She also hates football with a burning passion. The problem? She has no idea he’s the centre for the Sharks. What will happen when the secret comes out? An intriguing read. And voluntarily leaving my review.

This is the fourth book in this incredible series, and this is Ollie and Rubie’s story.
The sparks fly when Ollie and Rubie meets, and she has no clue that he is the centre for the football team that her father owns.
This is a well written story which has family, friendships, emotions, engaging and realistic characters, romance, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining and steamy page turner.

Each of the books in this series has followed one of the players from the Commanders NFL team. Huddled is Ollie’s story. Ollie is the star center of the team and is known as God’s Gift, because he is so incredibly good-looking!

Ollie and Rubie, who is the daughter of the team’s owner, start a relationship hiding who they actually are from one another. Eventually, everything works out and we have another happy ending! As with the other books, all of the previous characters play a part in Ollie and Rubie’s adventure, and I love how well the stories all connect!

All of these books have been easy-reading romcoms that have a bit of a Hallmark vibe to them. I feel like the spice factor was raised up in Huddled, so all of you spicy ladies (and gents) will love it!

Thanks to Romance Me With Books and Lizzi Stone for this gifted copy in exchange for my honest review!
