Two scenes from Julianna Scott's THE HOLDERS, written from alternate character points of view.
VISITORS (Immediately before Chapter 1)
Two men have come to the house and Ryland knows what they want - because it's the same thing that all the strange visitors have wanted - to take him away. Becca has always been there to protect him, swearing that she will never let him go, but this time is different... because Becca isn't home.
HOPE (Immediately after Chapter 2)
Alex has found his anam. He never thought it would happen, but somehow it did. Now if only he knew what to do about it. Could there really be someone meant just for him after so many years of being alone, or will allowing himself to hope only make the fall that much harder to bear...
I've spent my entire life thinking up stories and imagining new worlds to spend my mental time. Eventually I figured I should write some of the stuff down so that others could read and escape for a while with me.
Thanks so much for visiting! I love Goodreads and all my GR friends, and while I do not often extend a friend request, I do accept nearly everyone who tries to friend me, so don't be shy! I'd love to meet you! :-)
*MC’s Corner* So I received this email from Ms. Scott and she gave me a copy of The One. I just want to say Thank You! Thank you for noticing me, you just made my day!!!
So… let’s talk about The One. It’s short… I mean it a short story but much shorter than the normal. (Well I don’t know about the size of a normal Short Story… I just assumed… WHATEVER!!!)
It was divided in two parts First is the “Visitors” It happened in the very first part of The Holders but it’s in Ryland’s perspective.
Then the second one is “Hope” This one is Alex’s POV after he met his Anam, Becca. And he’s basically freaking out. What I love about this series is I remember it. I mean there’s some book that is so good but after a few months you won’t remember a scene from it. Or sometimes, you read the book last year and you got the second book today and started reading it you got confused, you know what I mean. I am so excited for the next The Holders book!
Alex's POV. No one had to say any more than that. What did I think? I WANT MORE. NOW. Please let more be coming. Please. If Ms. Scott would like to send her address I would be happy to provide the necessary bribery.
Julianna Scott sent me a copy of this short story, and I was over the moon. I loved being able to see the scenes through the eyes of other characters, especially Alex, who's my favorite character. Receiving this story made my night.
I love this! I especially enjoyed the Holders and am waiting on Seers to get here. But it's really fun to read the same scenes through another characters eyes.
