Jack Mars is author of the bestselling LUKE STONE thriller series, which include the suspense thrillers ANY MEANS NECESSARY (book #1), OATH OF OFFICE (book #2) and SITUATION ROOM (book #3).
A political thriller about the attempt to kill the president of the United States…. It’s an interesting storyline and I would have liked to give it two thumbs up… but for so much abrasive language. Lee Child can write a very good and compelling novel about Jack Reacher and still manage to keep the language clean… without compromising the storyline. I’d really like to see this author do something similar in his writing style.
The president travels to peace talks to Syria and the convoy gets attacked, with Jake Mercer and Jess in the middle. From there it only gets worse. It appears Trident has a new ally...Action from start to finish in this new adventure for Jake and Jess.
These books are high paced but if the secret service was 1/2 this bad at their jobs they would not exist. Well I guess the trump secret service might be that bad but I assume they are way better than this series makes them out.
This book fulfills its billing as a thriller as Jake Mercer defends the President from a series of attacks on a trip to Syria. The audio book is 5 1/2 hours and well performed. It ends at a point where I expected the story to go to another level, but no, it ended. Just like this review
