Eccentric Lady (A Lacey Summers P I Novel) by Edna Curry
Lacey Summers is a PI. Her client Patti hires her to find her missing Aunt Agnes. She turns up dead, and Patti begins to date Agnes' lawyer. Although Lacey's fiance Paul wants her to drop the case, along with the local police she continues to investigate.
A fast paced cozy murder mystery. Lacey is very likable. The story line was interesting and filled with secrets, twist, and turns. I feel those who like murder/mystery will enjoy Eccentric Lady.
Having read several Edna Curry books, this story also rings true. Lots of intrigue and characters and a little spicier in the romance department makes for a wonderful love story!
I’m not sure Aunt Agnes was so eccentric by my standards, but it was an interesting story using a new twist: a stock market game was part of the mystery. I did enjoy it.
When her Aunt Agnes doesn't show up as planned Patti senses something is wrong and tries to file a missing persons report. The sheriff doesn't take her seriously so she hires a private investigator to search for her. Lacey hasn't been on the case long when Patti's worst fears are realized. This was an entertaining mystery. The characters were well defined and the book moved along at a good pace. Events were unpredictable and there were suspects galore. I definitely had a hard time guessing " who done it". It is the perfect book for a rainy day at the cottage. I enjoyed the book and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a friend. I intend to seek out more of this author's work. I received a copy of this book for free in exchange for an honest review

This mystery has a good surprise solution and an appealing female PI. Plenty of suspects and overprotective males make her job all the more difficult. An easy read.
