What if nothing is wrong with you but instead you have been living under the greatest misunderstanding of life...how your mind works? In this down to earth, easy to digest book, you will hear the story of Dr. George Pransky and how one meeting with one person, showed him a new discovery about psychology that not only changed his life but the thousands of clients he has worked with over the last forty years. Through personal stories and client vignettes, the reader can learn of a profound way to understand our minds to help all of us live with more ease and peace in our lives.“In 1976 I met a person who completely changed my life. I was a practicing psychologist and felt discouraged at the progress my clients were making. I learned of a new understanding to help people live a more harmonious life. Since then, this approach is now being taught by hundreds of practitioners around the globe." -Author George Pransky, Ph.D.
George clearly articulates the paradigm shift that came through Sydney Banks, and how this understanding changed George's life, and those of many others.
The vignettes bring home the impact of the principles on many people, and the common challenges where the inside out understanding challenges the prevailing views. George's logic, examples, and good will are compelling.
Full disclosure, I've trained with George and Linda and bought other books and audio materials and all are great. This book is a wonderful articulation of a life changed by an understanding that changes lives, and the ripple effects on others.
I’ve been a student of the 3 Principles a long time. My son’s 18 year depression as reversed in only 4 days with Erika, George’s daughter. Recently wanted to explore the 3 P again, and discovered this book written just a year ago. It’s excellent! He taught the 3 P and more importantly, shows the HOPE of wellbeing.
Wow. I have no words. This book was exceptional. One of the best, most moving, and enlightening books I have ever read that talks so deeply about mental health. This book has helped me in so many ways 🤍
I couldn't find any true logic in any of these books. I could rationally see the implications and logic behind it all. But none of them pointed to an answer on how people can instantly transform. How could I go from being a drunk to being a non-alcoholic through an epiphany?
Through the insights of Sydney Banks and a deep dive into the 3 Principles of Mind, Thought, and Consciousness I now see the big screen. Not just theoretical but on a more human level.
I've been reading a lot about maturity and consciousness levels. Trying to see why some people gets universal insights and touch millions of people.
I believe you will see the big screen after reading this book. Our relationship with our thoughts is a key component. How we associate with our thoughts is a creator of our reality. Thought is creating our moods. Moods determine our actions. Good moods tend to lead to good actions and vice versa.
It's important to stress out that this has nothing to do with mediation or anything else. It's all about understanding the principles of Mind, Thought and Consciouness.
I hope this book will give as much to you as it gave to me.
A very interesting concept inasmuch as we are the products of our thoughts.
From a purely mental health perspective, this could be quite revolutionary and will no doubt help countless of people struggling to “control” their thoughts for example.
I will read it again as I can’t quite attain to a “Aha” point.
No lightbulb moment has occurred for me. It is something I was more or less familiar with.
I am still at a loss as to how the staying of the concepts alone are supposed to affect me without any kind of guidance . I can’t see how just talking about examples of people being helped is actually really that beneficial to me personally.
Maybe I have missed the point and will go through it again but if for example, I have a physical incurable illness, then however much I understand and however much trust I put in these principles, the illness is not going to go away. I may feel differently about it and more accepting of it but the knowing that the illness is going to be there always, leaves me feeling a bit short changed to be honest.
What I expected and what was received in reading this book are thankfully clarified and those expectations (thoughts) are not important anymore. I came to this book by way of reading a Forward written by George Pransky in another book. I dropped that other book(which I have since read and appreciate) and followed the prompt to look up George Pransky. If you want to know about how your thoughts, consciousness, and mind are our human experience-Read!
3 Stars ⭐️ I liked the underlying concepts and messages in this book regarding thought and found them intriguing, but the book jumped a little bit around too much for me.
