Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Wow. Wow. Wow. Book 2 was absolutely amazing! This series is my favorite. Wasn’t sure where or how R. Collins was going to top book 1, but she did just that.
Book 2 starts off where book 1 ended, which I loved. It kept the flow of the book. There was more action, drama, suspense, and spice. I think this book made me fall more in love with James! His obsession and possessiveness is just *chefs kiss* the way he is with Gen and the way he cares for her is everything!
Now the both of them are getting the hang of their new roles and I think they’re doing one heck of a job, especially with all that’s thrown at them! Like they went through (still going) some sh*t.
Some of the events that happened I was not expecting! Like it shook me and my jaw was on the floor!! Like Odette’s secret?! The spice during their trip to H?! 🥵 I so can’t wait for book 3!!

This leaves off right where Initiation ends!! You don’t have to wait long before you finally find out if Genevieve is pregnant or not. I won’t spoil it for you though!
Anyways, this book is for sure darker, way spicer and the character growth is amazing!! You see James and Genevieve grow into their rolls as Head Father and Guiding mother. You find out all the rules that govern the Wild Orchids, more secrets and more conspiracies to keep you on your toes.
James is just as attentive to Genevieve and absolutely obsessed with her. The spice is for sure more spicy 🥵. Of course James and his dirty mouth but you have a moment where Jen takes control and it is absolutely the freaking best. I never knew there was that dominating side to her but she freaking owns the hell out of it! Lots of “good boy” and “yes, mommy”. It was 10 out of 10 spicy 🌶️! “Show me how much love me, worship me.” “I said, lick it off me. Now.” “I love hearing you scream for me.” “Show me how grateful you are.”
Very tender moment are had between Genevieve and James as they are still growing in their marriage as well as their new roles.
“I want to give you all of me, Gen. All of my love and adoration. I’ll give you my shattered and broken pieces too. I promise I’ll give you every bit of myself to you. I’ll give everything I have.”
The ending is an absolute shock and I cannot wait to see what Reclamation, the 3rd and final book of the series, has in store for James and Gen.

In the previous book, we were left hanging on a cliff, but luckily our amazing author didn't keep us waiting for long. The answers we were craving were delivered quickly, and for that, I'm grateful! Now, be prepared for a darker tone in this book with intense conflicts. The sex scenes are incredibly well-written, making your heart race and blood pump (wink wink). I love that the author allows Gen to explore her own sexual side, adding a layer of pride to the story. This book is truly unique and seamlessly continues the narrative from the previous one. I recommend savoring it rather than rushing through to fully appreciate its contents. And yes, I'll definitely be trying out some of the spicier scenes! Dark romance world, watch out for R. Collins, because she's coming for the crown! I give this book a 4.5/5 stars rating ⭐️ and a 3.5 🌶️ for its steaminess. The tropes include "Touch her and die," "Breeding Kink" (can't blame him 🤭), BDSM, and a reversed dynamic of a Black Cat and Golden Retriever.

Welcome, Wild White Orchids
This picked up right where Initiation left off and the cliffhanger was answered on page 1 so nooo waiting and things were off to the races & boy they didn’t stop or slow down the entire book so buckle up.
I loved seeing Gen become more comfortable and really step into her role in the society. I am so connected to her & the author does such a good job describing situations & emotions that I was feeling everything right along with her.
James was darker and UNHINGED. Still such the romantic but the possessive & fuck around and find out attitude was sooo good. He proves he’ll do whatever it takes to protect his family.
The spice was definitely hooot. Lots of bdsm action.
Daddy James really came to play along with Mommy Genevieve 😜
So many crazy things were happening within the society. You definitely dive in deeper than Initiation for some of the terrible things that go on. You never know who can be trusted. The gasps I gusp at the plot twists. The tears I cried. I’ll be not so patiently waiting for Reclamation.

I have thoughts and words but I now know I need to start a book club around this series so I can know if everyone read what I just read what I read.
I don’t know how she did it but book 2 is better than book one. Darker, spicer, more intrigue, and just more. The plot to spice ratio is fantastic
James and Genevieve are a dynamic I got you and you got me couple. I once again will be accepting no criticism of James, because baby flashing a pew pew at a wedding because your cousin is looking at your wife 🥵 I also love how Genevieve pipes up on him.
Also I am all here for his mom having more of a backstory because she has been through it.
The writing was fantastic and I am in shambles and ruined because at the end of book one I was simply at the cliff and now with this ending I am dangling off the cliff. I don’t appreciate R. Collins making me wait 4 months but I will wait for what I can only imagine is spectacular.

We're back in James's and Genevieve's world of secrets and conspiracies!!
Holy shirtballs, it is hard to write a review for this book without spoiling anything. But: You better buckle up because you're going on a wild ride!!
I loved to see James and Genevieve grow together even though they are surrounded by uncertainties.
James is battling with his feelings a lot but he tries his best to open up to Gen more and more. Gen is endlessly supportive of her husband even if she doesn't agree with lots of the traditions surrounding the Wild White Orchids.
There's a lot more to their story but I REALLY don't want to tell too much.

Acclimation is the second in the Wild White Orchid Trilogy AND my gawd I didn’t think it could get any better but she does. The story still follows James 🫠 and Gen 😍 as the Father and Mother of the secret society. This book is FULL of the drama! The tension throughout had me screaming. I even shed a little tear.
If you haven’t read Initiation, you MUST start with that one first.
James and Gen are couple goals. His love for her is clear: he is caring, protective and ruthless, and he boy does he have the best mouth on him. Gen is just girl boss. She is the kind of woman you want to be friends with.
So, go read Initiation if you haven’t.
You won’t be disappointed in this book.

Acclimation picks up right where Initiation left off and I was pleasantly surprised that you don’t have to wait long to find out more about the cliffhanger from the last book.

Not just that, but Acclimation is bigger, better, and certainly spicier than the last. It goes much deeper into BDSM elements and is able to tell a story and shows a lot of character progression extremely well through the spice scenes. There is also several scenes that are truly jaw-dropping that almost made me throw my book across the room.
The plot is much more elaborate than a lot of dark romance novels I’ve read and it’s really nice to see an author created a fully fledged world as opposed to focusing on the smut elements. The drama that unfolds with the secret society is very engaging and left me wanting to know more. Just when you think things are getting better for James & Genevieve, the ending of the book provides another very well executed cliffhanger.
I cannot wait to see what R. Collins has in store for us in book three and to finally see these characters hopefully get a HEA.

James & Genevieve have had me in a chokehold since I first read Initiation. Secret Society, cult like rules, lots of 🌶️🌶️🌶️ this book is worth the read. It picks up right where Initiation ends…IYKYK. We get to see James & Gen grow together in their relationship as well as within the society. This story is intriguing from page one. It’s full of action, romance, secrets and conspiracies. I can’t wait for book three!

James & Genevieve: Book Two of the Wild White Orchid Trilogy Does Not Disappoint! 5 Stars
ACCLIMATION, book two of the Wild White Orchid Society (WWOS) series was even more phenomenal than the first! There is so much to unpack here. I'll try to do my best not to spoil the book for you. However, if you have not read book one, INITIATION, I suggest you stop reading NOW and read it. Because you can't play the game if you don't know the players... and there are plenty in this book!

When we last saw James and Genevieve, they were acclimating (see what I did there?) to their new assigned roles in the WWOS. James as the new "Father" and Genevieve as the new "Guiding Mother". If you'll remember, by the end of book one, James and Gen gained a few enemies along with their new assigned roles. These enemies are up to no good. Which brings us to the focus of book two: a power struggle.
With their new purpose in the Society, James and Gen are still adjusting to married life. They are struggling to maintain a sense of normalcy in their world, seeking refuge inside their newfound "love bubble" as much as they can. Unfortunately, this proves difficult when new revelations come to light in their personal lives. These revelations trickle down into their roles in the Society. Particularly, where the Tenets of the WWOS are concerned.
Since he has no choice in assuming the role of the new Father of the WWOS, James is determined to be a better man and leader than his predecessor (his father) and make changes. Much to James and Gen's chagrin, everyone in the WWOS is not on board with these new changes. James's determination to be a different type of leader not only stirs the ire of the society's members, but another unknown entity. Thus, placing James and Gen's marriage in peril and the couple in more trouble than they may be prepared to handle.
Author, R. Collins delivers another masterpiece in this installment of a bizarre tale of "best friends turned newlywed couple" caught in a veritable nightmare, not of their choosing. In ACCLIMATION, we are met with a darker version of Genevieve and an even darker version of James. If you think you know where this story is going, YOU DON'T. There were so many instances where I went from reading assumably to the feeling as if I'd run smack into a brick wall! There were these bombshell moments that caused me to holler out loud in shock. It was exhilarating!
ACCLIMATION not only delivers on plot, but there's also plenty of spice. You'll definitely want to check the trigger warnings on this one, as the spice gets dark. The scenes are much darker than what you've read in INITIATION and may be a little too dark for some. There is one particular scene which definitely pulled at my emotions. Nevertheless, it was so well written I couldn't help but gain more admiration for the author's writing. The reader will be led into the darkness but will be delivered into the light. Further evidence of Ms. Collins' talent as a writer by engaging the reader enough to bring forth emotion, whether it's to garner anger, sympathy, and/or forgiveness of the characters. This heightened my reading experience immensely. Well done, Ms. Collins.
This book ends in another cliffy. But thank goodness it's not an "edge of your seat" cliffy. Now, I await the release of the final book in this Trilogy, RECLAMATION. I have no idea what I am going to do once this series comes to an end. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Until then, I'm enjoying the ride! ACCLIMATION was amazing. I highly recommend it and I cannot wait to read the conclusion to see how it all ends.

It’s that time you guys! i just finished my re-read of the first two books in this trilogy last night & let me tell you, Collins did not disappoint with this story. It gripped me the exact same way the second time around. In this book we see James & Gen settling into their roles in The Wild White Orchid Society. We see their marrige evoloving and becoming stronger. We also see James coming to terms with the next role he will be stepping into. (I can’t tell you whatt that role is because it’s a major spoiler😉) They also start coming into their own as a married couple and also in the bẽdroom. Things get way more spîcy between them in this book & it was everything I hoped it would be and more! (Hello Daddy James! 😈) The plot continues seamlessly from the first book into the second. It didn’t feel disjointed AT ALL! That being said, the story & the plot still developed & evolved beautifully over the course of this book. And those PLOT TWISTS!! When I tell you my jaw was on the floor! That is, after i stopped yelling and talking out loud like Collins was in the room with me! lol 😂 ( my husband really gets a kick out of it when I do that lol) Anyway, the twists were TWISTIN, my friends! We get revelations up to the very last page!! To say I’m excited for book 3 would be a gross understatement, & I can’t wait to devour it once it’s here!! At the end of the day, my opinion is that this trilogy is INCREDIBLE so far & I totally reccomend that you read it! Start with Initiation & then read Acclimation. There is still time to read the both before Reclamation comes out in ONE MONTH!

Wow, where do I even begin with this incredible series? It has completely blown me away—far beyond anything I expected. I still find it hard to believe how lucky I was to stumble upon it. For what feels like an eternity, I have been on the lookout for a book that would truly ignite my passion for reading again, and this series has not just met but absolutely surpassed all my expectations.
The fact that this book is part of a series is like finding the perfect cherry on top of an already delightful sundae. I feel as though I’ve uncovered a hidden treasure trove of literary brilliance! BOOK REVIEW – Acclimation by @rcollinsauthor
Acclamation is the second book in the Wild White Orchid Trilogy and I didn’t think this could be better than the first (as sequels usually never are), but I’m raising my hand right now to say I am wrong. I was hugely wrong in my assumption and I am oh so glad for it. Applause to you Mrs. Collins!!

This book picks up right where Initiation left off and hits the ground running. James and Gen are trying their best to settle into their newlywed life but as the new leaders of the secret society, this proves to be a difficult undertaking. While we still completely adore James and Gen, their characters are both a little darker as are the themes in this book…see “The Five Rules (of Treason)”.
The spice gets sultry hot but is also a little darker, similar to the rest of the book and I’m here for it. There are twists and turns scattered throughout the pages of book two, you don’t know who to trust and if you think you know where you are heading, you’re likely going to be wrong. Again…here for it!
There is an extensive list of trigger warnings provided by the author, and I suggest you read through them prior to giving this quick book a go.

I just finished my ARC for Acclimation and omg! OMG! I'm having a hard time putting to words the roller coaster of emotions this sent me on without giving any spoilers 🙃
I really enjoyed seeing a darker side of James. Reading how him & Genevieve navigate all the struggles coming their way. You really get in deep with the society and the horrible things it does. The spice scenes were amazing 😈 Daddy James gets a taste of his own Pleasure from Genevieve 🥵 I seriously cannot wait for book 3!

Must read the first book or you will be lost.The cult is still crazy. People dying. This story is off the rails and it’s a fun ride. I adore Gen and James. This author is going to blow up and I am totally down to help support them.

In the continuation of Genevieve and James's story, their upcoming parenthood forces them to question and reshape societal conventions as they navigate their roles as leaders. In the beginning, she was fearful of telling him, but he was elated. Unfortunately, having a daughter creates additional difficulties for her as a result of the rules.
His current task is to persuade the council to make adjustments to this regulation, all while considering their own protection from the hazards of society.
The way they cooperated to ensure mutual protection and engage in meaningful conversations about the future was truly remarkable.
I'm enthusiastic about the third and final book of this amazing story. I highly recommend both the story and the series.
