I love the Muse. I'll read anything she ever writes. Even when I don't like where things are going, I know she has a master plan that will be beautifully executed. Now if I could just hook up some wires to her head and link to a computer so that the words can be uploaded and we can get her stories faster, I'd be great.
This is book 2 in her The Ruthless Kings Trilogy. Angarr is a dragon king who has been hurt in the past and doesn't believe in love. Until her, Xendaya enters his life. He struggles to let her in, but when he does, its an explosion.
I can't wait for the next one that she has so elegantly set up for us in the epilogue.

This is a great follow-up to the first book in this series. It can be read as a standalone since the characters don’t build much on what was in the first book. Once again, Muse has crafted a richly imagined world where political intrigue, fantasy elements, and steamy romance blend together seamlessly to create an utterly addictive reading experience.
Princess Xendaya is exactly the kind of heroine I love to root for - brave, selfless, and fiercely determined. Her decision to sacrifice herself for her sister and kingdom immediately establishes her as a character with real depth and conviction. Watching her navigate the treacherous Dragon Kingdom while maintaining her strength and identity was both thrilling and emotionally satisfying.
Agnarr the Ruthless could have easily been a one-dimensional villain, but the author skillfully peels back his layers to reveal a complex character driven by pain, ambition, and unexpected vulnerability. The tension between his ruthless exterior and the glimpses of something deeper creates a compelling romantic dynamic that had me completely invested in his character arc.
The world-building is exceptional. The contrasts between the werewolf and dragon kingdoms feel authentic and lived-in, with political tensions that add real stakes to every interaction. The author doesn't shy away from the darker elements of this fantasy world, which makes the moments of connection between Xendaya and Agnarr feel even more powerful and hard-won.
There are a lot of twists, turns and surprises in this book, especially as everything unfolds near the end. I found myself completely unable to put it down-- a perfect blend of escapist world-building, complex characters, and swoon-worthy romance. Highly recommended for anyone who loves their fantasy with bite, their romance with depth, and their heroines with backbone.
I'm already eagerly awaiting the next book in the series!

Book 1 in this series is one of my favorite Moonlight Muse books, so when we learned about this one I was super excited about it, and let me tell you, it was definitely worth the wait.
Xendaya and Agnarr are from two completely different worlds. Agnarr is a dragon king who travels to the werewolf kingdom in search of a wife and an alliance. Xen is the werewolf princess who sacrifices herself in her sister's place to become Agnarr's new wife. Later, though we learn that everything happened as it should have.
One of my favorite things about this story is how different Xen and Agnarr were, but how they were determined to learn each other's customs and reach a compromise. Now, I must admit that this took some time, and there were a lot of misunderstandings and hurting from both sides, so prepare yourselves for some pain. Speaking of pain, there's a war going on within the dragon kingdom, of which a big battle takes place during this story. And like with all wars, there's loss of loved ones and heartbreak.
But, on a much lighter note, I absolutely loved Xendaya's journey of sexual discovery and how she met Agnarr in every single filthy way his dragon self could've come up with.

The Dragon King’s Seduction by Moonlight Muse is a breathtakingly immersive romantic fantasy that had me spellbound from page one. As the second instalment in the Ruthless Kings series, this book not only lived up to the anticipation, it soared past expectations.
Set in a vividly imagined realm of dragons, wolves, elves, fae and ancient power, the worldbuilding was absolutely stunning. Every detail, from the majestic lands to the pulse of magic in the air, felt alive. Muse’s effortlessly brings her universe to life, blending rich fantasy elements with unforgettable emotional stakes.
Agnarr, the brooding dragon king, is a character that truly evolves before your eyes. He starts off cold, arrogant, guarded and a total A-Hole but as layers are peeled back, what emerges is a deeply complex man with honour, vulnerability, and quiet strength. His development was handled with care and nuance, making his transformation incredibly satisfying.
Xendaya, the werewolf-vampire hybrid, completely stole the show. She’s fearless, intelligent, and brimming with compassion. Her influence on both Agnarr and the dragon kingdom is profound, and her emotional depth and resilience left a lasting impression. Their dynamic is the perfect blend of tension, fire, and reluctant admiration that blooms into something powerful and unshakable.
The enemies-to-lovers tension, arranged marriage trope, and razor-sharp banter kept the energy high throughout. Throw in fated mates, prophecies, epic battles, political intrigue, and beautifully written smexy scenes, and you’ve got a story that refuses to let go.
The only reason this isn’t a full 5 stars was because there was a tad too much “other woman” drama for me. But it didn’t take away from the overall brilliance of the story, which was equal parts steamy, heartbreaking, hilarious, and inspiring.
This book is a rollercoaster of emotions—raw, magical, and unforgettable. Moonlight Muse has crafted something truly special in this series, and the teaser at the end already has me counting down to book three. Romantic fantasy at its finest.

I thought book 1 was perfect, and in it’s own ways it was. But book 2? Talk about spice, desire, and as the title says, seduction.
War broke out, and King Kian, Alpha of Alphas, reached out to the Obsidian dragon for a treaty. What does the Obsidian dragon ask for? One of his daughters hand in marriage.
When Xendaya hears her fathers plan, she is filled with anger that he would agree to something so archaic. So barbaric. But knowing that her sweet innocent little sister Morwenna was going to offer herself for the sake of their people and kingdom, Xendaya steps up and takes her place. Going to the Dragon Kings kingdom, and becoming his bride.
When she gets there, she is met with a different way of life, where the wolves value the bond above all else, dragons have harems, and they are comfortable in sharing.
Xendaya is left wondering if she can adapt to this new world, while simultaneously learning more about the mysterious Obsidian dragon and finding out, not everything is how it once seemed.
Learning the truth behind who the true Dragon King is and her spot amongst them.
Taking her rightful place as Queen to the Dragons and standing by her kings side.
Welcoming their traditions with an open mind, and looking after her people.
When this book ends, your left wanting more and knowing that book 3 will be just as good. It left me sitting on the edge of my seat wanting to demand for book 3 to already be written.

To help save her parents' kingdom Xendaya finds herself in an arranged marriage with Dragon King Agnarr. She resents him from the very first moment and hates him even more when she learns how things run in his kingdom, regarding intimacy between people.
But the line between hate and love is thin and Xendaya falls for the charms of the Ruthless king, or maybe her wolf falls for his lollipop! Not to mention the extra fun she had with him and his friends. Oops, I might have dropped a spoiler here. Forget it! But in the difficult times of battle, Xen stands by the kingdom's people as they are HER people gaining not only their respect but the ruthless king's, too. And then when things start to change and everything runs smoothly and according to plan everything changes. I won't drop another spoiler here. So run to read!
I went a little bit out of my comfort zone reading this book as it is a dark romance (a lot of triggers that I generally avoid) but it was Moonlight Muse and I dove in deep without even thinking about it. In the end, I swam to the shore a winner, and the journey totally worth it.
A great page-turner book with lots of turns, twists, and cliffhangers. Spicy spicy spicy and again spicy content (one who's read it had caught the hint) and a great plot with many paranormal creatures.
I highly recommend it.

This was my first book with a dragon shifter and my goodness it was perfection. As a huge fan of Moonlight Muse I have read a lot of her books at this point and this is easily now my second favourite book after My Forbidden Alpha and believe me when I say it had serious competition to achieve that placing.
The setting of the book is in the land of the dragons and I loved how vividly the world was described so you could visualise it in your own mind. Xendaya a werewolf and vampire hybrid was fierce yet so compassionate and her strength shone so bright, I loved how her kindness and knowledge impacted both the dragon king and his people so beautifully throughout the book. The depth of her character truly knew no bounds and despite this her character grew and adapted which was showcased magnificently within the writing. Agnarr a dragon shifter was not a truly likeable character to begin with but as the story goes on you start to see the depths of who he truly is and his character growth was exceptional in this book. As always Muses's style of writing had me go through so many emotions and had me hooked from start to finish, there is just something so mesmerising about all her books. I want to say so many things about the story and the characters as even the side characters are so brilliantly written but I know this is a book that needs to be experienced without knowing much to get this experience reading it that I did. I cannot wait for book 3 and can't recommend this series enough!

To protect the werewolf kingdom, Xendaya is forced to marry Agnarr—an arrogant ruler set in his ways who sees women as inferior. Brave and strong, she refuses to submit to him, but soon realizes she’s made many assumptions shaped by her own beliefs, and is pushed to understand and accept a completely different set of societal rules.
Agnarr and Xendaya share an undeniable pull, though both try to fight it for their own reasons. They strike a deal to get what they each want, but after a series of twists and turns, they discover that what they truly want is each other.
This has become one of my favorite Muse books, thanks to the rich character growth and the way both main characters gradually embrace who they are at their core. While it can be read as a standalone, reading The Alpha’s King Possession first gives valuable context about the world, the politics, and the connections between characters.
A gripping enemies-to-lovers romance full of passion, pride, and transformation—this is Muse at her best.

Another amazing read from Muse. I can’t really put into words how she writes her books. She doesn’t just write a book she tells a story. Builds a world with culture, traditions, and history that makes the world so interesting. I was hooked from the first few pages and could not put this book down. It is also the spiciest book I have read from her.
Agnarr is the ruthless Dragon King that people fear. When Xendaya’s parents form an alliance with him in the form of arranged marriage, she steps in to take her sister’s place. Xendaya hates him and what she thinks he is, but Agnarr is keeping secrets, and when they are revealed, the bond between the two grows stronger.
I loved the character development between both leads and how Xendaya took her role seriously as queen and learned the culture and ways of her new husband and even adapted to their beliefs to an extent.
This book had a lot of everything, spice, battles, commitment, and betrayal. Can not recommend this book enough!

I was so excited to dive into the Dragon King’s story after loving the first book, and it did not disappoint! Princess Xendaya, the fierce wolf–vampire hybrid, has easily claimed a spot as one of my all-time favorite FMCs. I especially loved how she would stand up to King Agnarr. She doesn’t fold easily, and their banter was perfection.
Their marriage of convenience to secure a peace treaty sets the stage for an incredible journey. Feared by many, Agnarr reveals surprising depth the more we get to know him, and the chemistry and tension between him and Xendaya had me hooked.
I also loved learning about the dragon kingdoms. Werewolf shifter stories usually win me over with their fated-mates loyalty, while dragon lore tends to lean toward sharing and harems. Watching Xendaya navigate those differences made the story feel fresh and exciting.

The Dragon King’s Seduction had me from the start—hook, line, and sinker. The world-building is rich, and I loved the unique magic system and how the world functions. It was creative, immersive, and kept me turning the pages.
My only real struggle was the heavy miscommunication trope—it played a huge role in the plot, and that’s a hard one for me to enjoy. On top of that, while I usually love spice in my books, some of the spicy scenes felt like filler and didn’t really add anything to the story. By about 75%, I found myself a little burnt out from both the miscommunication and the constant steam.
That said, I did really enjoy the book overall and I’m definitely planning to continue the series!

Another AMAZING book by Muse!

It starts with the Alpha King having to hand one of his daughters off for the sake of a treaty.
Xendaya, the Alpha Kings daughter, volunteered herself to be given to the Dragon King as part of an agreement. Only, there’s much more to it. She’s a strong willed woman, fights for what she feels is right or fair to those around her.
Agnarr, the Dragon King, has a bit of a secret of his own 👀. Constantly fighting for the well being of his kingdom against a fierce rival who doesn’t follow any rules.
Kingdoms come together to fight against the evil king and stand with the Dragon King.
Xendaya and Agnarr, end up having a current HEA but this book leaves you wanting more! I am excited for the next book in the series to be released.

Book 2 in the Ruthless King trilogy kicks off with an adult Xendaya realising the only way she can help her father, the Alpha King, stop a coming war is to united in marriage to the ruthless Dragon King, Agnarr. Things don't go to plan in the beginning but it doesn't take long for these two to start getting on and when Agnarr reveals a secret Xendaya wonders what his plan was all along.
This book is full of suspense and the emotional toll we come to expect from Muse. She always writes some powerful characters and this book does not disapoint. She even finds time to add wit and banter to the fold in the form of Agnarr's most trusted friends.and not forgetting the spicey scenes.
Another fabulous book and I can't wait for book 3 with its teaser in the epilogue!

Xendaya is the princess of her kingdom and hopes to find her mate but when her younger sister agrees to marry a ruthless king to save their people she steps in and takes her place. Agnarr has had everyone he loves taken away from him and it’s harden him. When he agrees to marry the wolf princess he is not prepared for her defiance. I didn’t read the first book in this series and i didn’t miss it, i think it was about Xendaya’s parents but this book had all the information you needed to read it. i likes the world, i literally felt the heat that was described. I loved Xendaya and her spirit and how she wanted to learn and grow as a person and how she stood up for those below her. This book ended happily but set up for the next book and i’m curious to see what happens in that book.

I loved book one and book two I felt was even better. We get to see a new world, the Dragon Kingdom. On this second installment we follow the Alpha Kings daughter and her arranged marriage to the Dragon King. Xendaya is a lot like her mother and is not happy about the marriage and the dragon king is in it for convenience.
The story is definitely unique and different from other romantasy stories. I loved all the plot twists, world building, and all the characters. I loved how both main characters worked to communicate either each other, especially due to how different their culture is and how each tried to be thoughtful of the other and their feelings. And that ending… wow, it left me excited about what’s coming in book 3!
Overall, this is definitely one of my top favorite series of the year. The author keeps exceeding my expectations with each new story. I highly recommend it.

Moonlight Muse is an incredible writer. Once again she delivers a compeling story that you cannot stop reading.
If I ever thought the theme enemies to lovers was a worn out theme, it all changed with this book. This. author elevates it to a whole new level... Every chapter is a rollercoaster and full of quick changes that make this story alive. You find yourself hating and loving the MMC with equal intensity throughout the book, and not only him but other characters as well, even her fierce FMC.
It never ceases to amaze me the way her stories are written.
Well done again Muse.

If you are not reading Moonlight Muse, do you even love shifter romantasies?! Every book she writes is better than the last and this one is superb!! You have the selfless and fierce FMC and an alphahole dragon king MMC. Agnarr lives up to the alphahole title, but Moonlight Muse makes you love him as much as you want to punch him in the face. Xendaya is a queen on her own and can stand on her own.
These two together burn up the pages and create an emotional ride that keeps you longing for more. I don’t know how Moonlight Muse can bring out so much emotion, connection, and steam to the pages, but she never disappoints. This is a must read, along with all her other books!!

Absolutely amazing! Ms Muse has blended an amazing storyline in with the perfect amount of spice. I always believe there is a balance between getting a good plot and a good amount of spice. This story has a dragon and a hybrid with whom you get a great story and they are HOT HOT HOT together. While we have a strong male lead, the FMC is strong and endearing, she loves her people and is there and ready to take on all the challenges she faces. I love how this couple has to face so much to understand each other. Amazing read, one of my favorites for sure, well done Muse!

Ufff! This boooook! It was totally different from all the other books from this author. It’s a must read honestly. After reading her previous work, this one took my by surprise. The spice level, of the chart. The thing I like about this author is that if spice is what you looking for, you will get it tenfold but if you want more of a solid story line, hers is on point. I’ve come across many books that offer the spice, however, when you look into the storyline, it’s either weak or lacking, not here. We get spice, we get Strong female characters, we got wars, we got redemption…I loved it.

Their union is strong as these two begin to bond. Betrayal, traditions, and unexpected emotions trigger more than Agnarr and Xendaya intended. It was an intriguing story that left me with mixed feelings but overall entertaining to read.

This was such an interesting story about fated mates from different species. Very well written, it has a lot of action and great characters. I did enjoy especially the spicy scenes from the throne room and not only (5/5🌶). Yes, I so love the dragon ways😂😂 too much. Xendaya is an interesting character and step by step is able to make him fell for her. The Dragon King is as stubborn as a rock, but in his twisted way, he can't deny her anything after all. Can't wait for book 3.

This second book in The Ruthless Kings Trilogy is an exemplary continuation of the series. Muse's exceptional writing has once again delivered. The female lead, characterized by her strength and stubbornness, is perfectly complemented by the complex, equally stubborn male lead. Together, they ignite a fierce passion 🔥🥵. The pairing of Princess Xendaya and Agnarr the Ruthless is a prime example of the attraction between opposites, resulting in a formidable union. This is one of the greatest work from Author Muse. She took a different plot from her usual. And it turns out pretty well. The snarky comments of the Dragon King to the brave and courageous Wolf Princess’s journey will put you in awe as the story unfolds. You’re into lots of surprises. Do give this book a try. I am always captivated by @author.muse
books. I love Xendaya's character she is strong and independent. The journey they both went on was nail-biting and smiles all the way through. I love the banter that Kaizoran, Dagnoth and Hazran have with Agnarr and the bond they share.
