Back home at last, Jake has discovered the ups and downs to his not so normal family life. When a pretend boyfriend scheme intended to help his younger stepsister Kate gain confidence ends up going completely off the rails, he gets to know her better than he ever would have expected.
It’s all happening right under the nose of his stepmother, Rebecca. Unfortunately, she isn’t the only person Jake and Kate have to look out for. When Jaimie, Jake’s older stepsister, begins to grow suspicious of how much time he and Kate are spending together, the situation begins to fray at the edges.

This one began scorchingly hot but fizzled at the end for me. It’s a sequel and I’m honestly not sure about reading book 3. Ugggh. I just don’t know. But I still love the author.
"Household Obsession 2" while being a truly exceptional read, is best read as a sequel to its predecessor" Household Obsession" because it truly needs the continuity if you want to know and appreciate the events preceding the ones continuing on in this book. But even if you haven't read the first volume you will enjoy this one.
In this book Jake, a 21 year old brother who has been estranged from his family for a number of years while away at college. He's somehow managed to find himself in an intimate relationship with Kate, his 18-year-old sister, something he has begun to regret after Jamie, their older sister finds out about the affair and begins blackmailing him in a minor way.
Their father is very rarely at home because he works overseas, however their mother Rebecca has managed to maintain a very cheery and homey household (kind of Leave it to Beaver - at least from her perception) and doesn't see the internal turmoil that her family is going through.
The plot thickens as Jake and Kate try to find a way to stop Jamie's ongoing blackmail. Which leads to an eventual unexpected conclusion.
If you haven't already read the first book "Household Obsession" I strongly urge you to do so as a prelude to reading this book.
The characters, interpersonal interactions, and romance aren't really enough to sell this as a spicy romance; this is more "porn movie plot" level of writing. But at the same time, the sex scenes aren't really good enough or frequent enough to make this a good work of straight up erotica.
If the romance isn't good enough to to succeed as a romance book, but the sex isn't hot enough to succeed as erotica, what's left?
...not much, I'm afraid. Also, a couple of plot points really rubbed me the wrong way:
Which, again, emphasises the fundamental problem of the series: It's not hot enough to be erotica, but the vague attempts at romance and relationships don't work.
For the sake of warning future readers: The story features the protagonist cheating on his love interests.
This has been a surprisingly good erotic series. Middle brother (the MC) comes home from college in another state and starts sleeping with his younger sister in the previous book. In this book, the brother sleeps with his older sister at the very end of the book.
MC still has not figured out who the mysterious vibrator remote belongs to. This has been an excellent little mystery in this series, as the vibrator could belong to any of the three women in the house (i.e. - the mother, older sister, or younger sister). I've had my guess for a while as to whom owns the mysterious vibrator and I will be interested to see if I am correct in the last book.
Sex portrayed is non-safe, and there is some pregnancy risk with the youngest sister as they chanced she wouldn't get pregnant. I dislike the "oops I'm pregnant" troupe, and so far the author has not used that troupe. The sex is also very, very vanilla so if you are seeking to get your kink on, you will need to look elsewhere. YMMV
Overall, so far an enjoyable erotic incest story split into three books when it could have been one, but this is a typical Amazon Kindle ploy to get paid for the same book three times. For an author that lacks skill, this usually ends at the first book. With a talented author and a well crafted story, this ploy works well.
The author knows how to write, and tends to write about men who, once aroused, are unable to make rational decisions or keep promises made. Saving his older step sister was potentially a good decision, but only if she learned from it. We have no idea why she did what she did, and the reason why can make a huge difference. So far, Jaime has stayed home after high school and is not working. Why? Katie had much better reasons for her actions, but she's also young. Aside from the mess Jake has voluntarily walked into, there will repercussions surrounding the new dynamics. There is a lot more we need to know about Jaime, details we should have learned in this second novella. Jaime needed to be fleshed out as a character more.
These types of stories, the good ones anyway, are about the emotional connections, why people choose to do the things they do in the circumstances they find themselves in.
Hoping the third story will be believable. Onward.
Another great entry, bringing lots of in-house tension, great spicy scenes and lots of VERY charged moments, with the primary focus of this book being Jamie.
I'm conflicted with this relationship even though it's my favourite. I'm a big fan of belligerent sexual tension, but the escalation felt both too quick and too long. Instead of a steady ramp up from 1-10 it felt like most of the book was hovering around a 3-4 and I was wanting that to ramp up steadily until the (Awesome) finish. While the book was by no means a slog, I was left wanting until the sudden jump to 10 at the end, which left me feeling like it was both too long and too short.
While I am VERY interested in the next, I'm worried that we won't get enough time to explore the aggressive relationship between them and this pattern will repeat itself with Rebecca.
Overall, I had a great time and will continue the series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Jake and Katie are unsuccessful keeping their burgeoning romance secret from Jamie - caught on video! Now they are being blackmailed but planning revenge involving a remote camera and tracking device. They discover Jamie's secret. Jake is arrested for shoplifting. Jake and Jamie's relationship heats up and catches fire. Mom seems to be the mystery toy owner!
Screwed up interactions from a normal moray view makes this exciting and at the same time shows a lovely interaction between characters as they overcome difficulties to reach out for a caring nonconformity in their relationships. I like!!!
Well, initially the fun is not there after a college student returns home. Slowly the circumstances change and the heat rises. Enough that 3 females, unrelated by blood, but very needy of love and sex, the returned graduate is ready to fulfill their wishes. A little suspense is involved but all ends well. Recommended, can't wait for the 3rd story!
So the story is well written and very intriguing. Loved the way the interactions of each character were very nicely done. Can't wait to see where this story goes. Anya again has drawn me up into another well-made story.
This was an exceptional sexcapade! As it combined incestual bonding from siblings and even got a mother involved! It was all quite light hearted, so it’s a win/ win! In fact the fucken up part is what made it even hotter! Anya’s a new find! And these covers are a complete aphrodisiac!
The Eros just keeps on flowing! The MC has to be loving his life right now! Very incest lined if you did not know. I am waiting impatiently for the next release!!
Fantastic two stories book 1 and book2 nice intro and content was a little disappointed that there is no book 3 If and when it does come out I will definitely read it
Disgusting that you specify 3 books and only 2 can be purchased, that is why I gave 1 star. Wanted to know howthe story ended Actually a very interesting story
