When I started reading this story, I could not put it down. I read the book in one day. This author is an awesome writer. I can not wait to read more of their books. Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.

Fay has been through so much and finally feels safe with Viper. What will happen when her past catches up to her and she must run again? Fast-paced emotional read with loads of drama and steam. Great characters and an entertaining story. I liked it.

WOW WOW AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! A OUTSTANDING READ!!!!!!!
This story is so heart breaking at times it made me cry. Its amazing what a person will do for the person they love. Even live a life of hell. But can two broken people heal each other or will the betrayal be too much to forgive.
Fay was on the run from her past. her first taste of freedom only to walk into the bad area of town and be surrounded by a group of men wanting to use her. Thankful Fay managed to get away and run straight into Viper.
Viper is a MMA fighter who was on his way home when a young woman ran into him. He hates when men think they have the right to take what they want against a woman's wishes so takes pleasure in fighting this men to protect this woman. There is something about her but she looks so innocent and Viper preferred his woman to know it was one night of pleasure then its goodbye.
But Fay has a way of getting under his skin.
I really loved these two. They had so much to get through for any chance to be together, and they need to trust one another to let them know what horrors happened in their pasts.
I just want to read more about this couple and im gutted I finished their story but I know Melody Adams will have me hooked in the next book I read by this amazing author.

Brought together by pain but given a second chance to heal with each other

I really liked this story and the characters, Viper and Fay. It is an interesting story-line but also very intense as it deals with a subject that could be a trigger for some, abuse. Both characters have their secrets and bad pasts, which they are each trying to deal with in their own ways. But they are connected to each other deep down even though they are afraid to speak of their pasts and open up about things that haunt them.

Even though this book is a really good story and the characters are great I still had a hard time because of the proofreading errors that are in it. For me it detracted from my reading experience a lot. But if these do not bother you and you are able to handle the darkness of the story-line then this is an excellent book.

This book centres around the world of underground MMA fighter Vincent ‘Viper’ Mahoney and Fay. Vincent comes to her rescue one night from a gang of thugs. He takes her in, provides her with a job, clothes and a safe place to stay. Fay has runaway from home after suffering years of violent sexual abuse from her stepfather. She doesn’t tell Vincent her story but does accept his help.
The pair of them dance around their attraction for each other, until one night, at an after fight party, they give in. Their relationship goes from strength to strength but just when Fay thinks her life is turning round, her stepfather tracks her down. He threatens to frame Vincent for crimes he didn’t commit, if she doesn’t come home.
The story is well written and the plot interesting throughout. The characters have so much in common and so much happens from the start until the HEA set years later. Another great read from Melody.

Warning to the faint hearted Who cannot take on and stories I have flashbacks of abuse. This is a really in-depth book I was semi-short. You have a couple who in their own right has experience their own various types of abuse . As we know any type of abuse has side effects that are long lasting be treated or not treated. Is the book where you sit back after you’re done and you kind a like wipe your brow thinking “damn”. Again it’s a good read if you have a good stomach. I could be a little big exaggerate depending on anybody’s perceptive after they read the book and then maybe read my review. It is what it is. But for someone who has dealt with those have been abused, it could cause some triggers. There is an HEA and there are the characters.

There is so much going on in this story. Viper is a tough underground MMA fighter with a heart of gold. He rescues Fay at the beginning of the story and offers her a bedroom when she has nowhere to stay. While he tries to stay away from her because she is so young and unused to his way of life the connection is too strong to overcome.

Fay and Viper's backstories are really rough and Fay is forced to leave to protect those she loves. I liked how the author had these two reconnect and felt for them as they opened up to overcome the barriers that kept them apart.

This story has some serious triggers which could be too much for some readers to handle.

Loved this intense romance.

Fay ran away from home as soon as she was able and then had her belongings and money stolen from her. Vincent "Viper" Mahoney ends up saving her from a bad situation and offers her a place to stay and a job. Things heat up between these two, but unfortunately Fay's past comes back to haunt her and she ends up making a bad decision without talking to Viper first. Can these two broken people overcome their pasts and have a future together? This is an intense read and touches on situations that may be triggering to some readers, please keep this in mind before reading this book. This is a great read and I highly recommend it!

This story is a very well-written, interesting, emotional and steamy story with great character that have strong personalities. Their story will break you heart and pull at your emotions and you root for them. These characters have broken childhoods, abuses and tragedies. Their fate brought them together and he was her first love and protector. She feels she must run and left him with broken heart. Then fate brings them together again and this time they are ready to fight for each other and for their future together.

ay has so many secrets. So many bad memories. When she finally gets away, she is saved by an MMA fighter, Viper. He is rough, tough and also has bad memories and secrets. They are drawn to each other, but both afraid to open up and tell each other their darkness. When she has to run, he is devastated. Fate has plans for these lovers though. A good read. Please be aware that might be triggers for some.

Breaking Me Softly by Melody Adams is the first installment in her Fighting Hearts series which focuses on Viper, an underground MMA fighter, and Faye, who Viper rescues and provides her a place to stay at his home. This story has some serious triggers which could be too much for some readers to handle. This book has a complex plot with interesting characters, strong emotions, secrets, betrayal, and steamy attraction.The book definitely needs some editing due to grammar/spelling but I would recommend it.

In this story both main characters, Fay and Viper, have a lot of emotional baggage that often dictates how they act and react at time. This is a great plot and try as they might Fay and Viper have a connection that isn’t going to break easily.
