Power. Revenge. Destiny. The Queen of Werewolves is ready to claim them all.
My best friend’s wedding was cancelled and she was arrested. With some smoke and mirrors we got her back, but an emergency called me home before I could get my revenge for her maltreatment.
Jimmy Rain, vile alpha werewolf and power-hungry coward, thought he could attack my stronghold while I was distracted. Big mistake: knowing that Jess is safe, now I’m gunning for him. No more games. He’s about to learn why the sentient seat of power crowned me Queen of Werewolves. I’ll stop at nothing to destroy him ... permanently.
But there’s more at stake than taking down a rival alpha: I need to secure the future of my pack, and that means pulling off a heist to reclaim an ancient magical artefact. There’s one problem: it’s sitting in a dragon-shifter’s hoard and she won’t give it up without a fight.
Prophecies, betrayals and rival alphas stand in my way – but I’ll tear through every one of them. My destiny is calling, and this time I’m answering.
No more Miss Nice Queen.
Don't miss this werewolf shifter series if you like humour, heart and a strong heroine with a slow burn, loyal-beta fade-to-black romance.
What a rush of a book! This is technically the end of this set Lucy books, but so much is left for us here, I would love another two books to see what else can happen. Lucy is trying so hard to balance the queendom with being an alpha over a half dozen packs and having to make very hard decisions. I love the support that all of her family, Greg, and the packs give her here. Even if she felt that she was alone at times, she never truly was. There was non-stop action from the first chapter for Lucy and having to track and face down foes. She struggles determining if she is the bad guy, as she embraces all of her magic capabilities. There are some shocking revelations in this book as well as some heartbreak, but the author does a wonderful job navigating all of it. I have no idea what the future holds for Lucy and her packs, but I have no doubt she will face it with a smile, a shiny crown, and a little sass.
"I made mistakes, but I tried my damnedest to learn from them."
Light, fun and exactly what I needed after reading some pretty heavy stories lately. Although this particular series is very much surface reading, the story is engaging and hard to put down.
“Cheer up,” I said. “The worst that can happen is that we all die in a fiery inferno.”
What a drama-filled book! This truly felt like a make-or-break moment for Lucy, and it was an incredible read. I was glued to the story, as always! I especially loved when Greg’s protectiveness shone through, with him standing firm in his feelings. The book balanced tragedy with moments of light, making it both emotional and uplifting.
I would definitely recommend reading Jinx’s story first, as the timelines overlap significantly. It was fascinating to revisit key scenes from The Other Realm, this time from Lucy’s perspective.
Oh my GAWD! What a conclusion!!! The book immediately drops you into the action and doesn't stop until the last page. There are many laughs (how many different versions of the word, uh, you know, did you use?), many many tears, many many many surprises and the most satisfying ending that there could have been. And yet, there is room for more if Heather decides to write more about Lucy's world.
This series, this whole world of serieses (seriesi?) are magnificent and MUST be read. You will not be disappointed.
Wow! I love Lucy so much, and the conclusion (I really hope it’s not) of her series was so full of action and danger and love and tears. I’m really tired now because I couldn’t put it down last night and read to the early hours to finish it.
Queen Lucy had some hard decisions to make in this book. Finding the orb, leading multiple packs, fire elemental powers, defending her crown, hot Greg (easy decision there lol). The way Lucy and Esme navigate this roller coaster is such a joy to read.
And the dedication at the beginning… my heart smiled so big.
This is a really bingeable series. I have been reading the whole Other series from the beginning ( I totally recommend doing it that way!) and what an outstanding author!!! The characters are perfect, the world building is unique and it's just a fantastic urban fantasy collection.
For starters, can I just say WOW?! Heather knows how to end a series, and oh-my-gosh does she do it well!
Lucy, Esme, Greg and Red are all in from the very beginning of this book. The plot is fast and it does not let up! There are so many moving parts to this finale that it could be confusing, but Heather makes it all work like magic.
From a riveting heist, an attempted coup, and then, of course, betrayal and triumph, this book had me feeling ALL the feels. It’s an emotional wringer and I loved every second of it. Lucy navigates her role as Queen in such a relatable way [jokes, I’ve never been a Queen before] that it only endears her to me more. With great power comes great responsibility and this is the perfect example of how a great leader handles it 💗
This book is also somewhat of a reunion as everyone comes together with Lucy and Greg, at one stage or another, to fight the good fight and save the day. Of course, some people are lost and I shed more tears than I’d like to admit, but in the end, every loss is worth it. Lucy’s purpose moving forward becomes clear and if I were Domini, I’d be shaking in my boots!
If you can’t tell already, I couldn’t put this book down. And I will love Heather forever for including a bonus scene at the end of it from Greg’s perspective. It was so heartwarming and delightful, I couldn’t stop smiling!
Overall, this is the perfect ending to Lucy and Esme’s series and I know that I’ll be coming back again and again and again for a reread anytime 💗

The book starts off with Jess being arrested right before she's about to be married. From there things spiral into a state of organized chaos. Lucy continues her mission to recover the orb, which pits her against a powerful foe. She's also still battling the Domini and forced to yet again defend her crown and position. Lucy handles everything she does with a level of compassion, so when she's forced to kill she has a difficult time reconciling it and seeing herself as anything other than a murderer. She's always done what's best for those in her pack and that pack continues to grow; she's now alpha to half a dozen.
I was surprised that, as the finale, this book didn't wrap up everything. Most notably, the villain is still out there. More to come? I hope so b/c I enjoy returning to Harris' Other World, but also because I'd like to see more resolution to the things set in motion in Lucy's series. Harris does have another spin-off set to publish in Sept 2025: Veiled Justice, The Other Detective #1.
There were a few editing errors that drove me nuts, but overall I loved it and Esme and Lucy made me giggle so much! Also, touching friends/family moments.
Finished and yea I really like Lucy as a protagonist little more than Jess and amber. Loved the overarching conflict for her 2nd trilogy and so many characters died 😭. Can’t believe all this stuff happened simultaneously as Jess court saga. The ending was surprising and nice. A lot of character growth for everyone. Honestly I kinda wish I read this before bastion and amber since I already know what happens there and it set present day. Glad to revisit this series after so long.
P.s.- I was kinda shock how there was more details before the usual fade to black lol. Makes me wonder if the author interested in writing steamy scenes now 👀🤪. I won’t complain if she did 😂 but I’m fine if she doesn’t.
This is the best book in the Other universe so far. The story was tightly plotted and fast paced, even overriding a few personal bugbears that usually annoy me in urban fantasy. Lucy is a great character - compassionate, competent, determined - and this story gives you well earned conclusions to many threads while leaving some tantalisingly dangling. While this set of Lucy's books is about tearing down a system (something you should only ever do if you have a clue what to replace it with), there are still plenty of laughs along the way. None of the harder hitting subject material detracts from how easy the book is to read, either. From beginning to end, this was a pure shot of adrenaline covered in caramel and chocolate sprinkles. Can't wait to see what Lucy does next.
If this is the final book, the series as a whole was horrible. There are so many things left incomplete or unfinished. The “villain” still hasn’t been defeated. Who ends a book, or rather a series like that.
As in the other books, Queen Alpha Lucy was stupid. There were so many things she dismissed or push to the side, putting them lower on her priority list. She was a really horrible alpha, let alone a queen. She became alpha of several packs and even knowing that the “protectors” of those packs are now either dead or at the mansion living with her, she cared nothing about the elderly, women and children left behind in those packs. She didn’t make sure someone had stepped up to provide and care for them in the alpha and second’s absence or anything.
My biggest peeve with her was how she stood and watched Tristan fight to save her instead of continuing the fight that he was distracting her 2nd advancing opponent for. She was supposedly fiery mad and heading for the alpha to end him, but she stood and had a conversation with him and watched Tristan fight his lackey for HER life like she was at a Black Tourney! It was senseless! She knew the alpha was holding her back with magic and that that rendered him defenseless, but she still didn’t end him and let… ugh! I really hate her.
In short, Lucy was the worst Alpha well before she even became Queen and somehow just went down hill from there. If not for Greg likely doing behind the scenes work, the first pack would have failed miserably or went lone. She was selfish and self centered, dismissing other people’s concerns and feelings saying she’ll get to it later, which never comes or comes too late… then she does the whole woe is me pity party because she failed them…. 🙄 She was THE WORSE judge of character. I don’t think she correctly labeled/categorized anyone except those that were obviously one thing or another, like those evil alphas.
In the end, I cannot recommend this book. It will leave you frustrated and disappointed as it ends without an actual end. The humor throughout is not enough to carry this book to a higher rating for me. See my notes, highlights and commentary on Goodreads. Happy reading.
Just finished the whole series - read Amber's story first. Overall very light read, but there was a lot of unnecessary death and all to frequent and predictable betrayal. Honestly by this last book and the death of yet another good character/s + some really stupid reactions and decisions ...I can say I'm glad I'm done.
Shall we dive in to action immediately? Heck yes! Heather enspells me from the first word to the last, enticingly, captivatingly, drenching me in all the feels! But this book stands out magnificently! What could be better than seeing a vision of gorgeousness, an unparalleled beauty, kicking ass. Not much in my book but heck, I do go by "don't judge a book..."and all that, except in this case, both cover and contents are simply stunning! But I can say, unequivocally, this is my favourite book of this fabulous series, and that's really saying something, seeing as I loved every book in this entire world that Heather has so eloquently penned, so articulate, so polished, so freaking amazing!
Lucy is a dream character, faliable, loving, kind, gorgeous, smart and she has Greg Manners to boot! Now HE'S the perfect guy, could there be a more supportive man, like EVER??? I think not...he might be stoic outwardly, inwardly, he's a romantic, passionate man. His and Lucy's relationship wasn't without mishaps but gosh, they are MADE for each other! I absolutely adore them, separately and together. They're both so scrumptious! And they can both kick ass when they need to, as shown with the major thorn in Lucy's side. Oh glory did I LOVE the confrontation with Rain! I literally yelled out YES YOU MOTHERF@#ER! I mean, he's like a festering boil and we all know a boil needs to be lanced, right? Esme must have rubbed off on me, the blood lust a tad too zealous, in a scene where "eeeewww" would have been the appropriate response at WHAT Ares and Ivy did, I LAUGHED! The descriptive manner caught me up in the moment and I couldn't help myself.
When the dwarves made their appearance, oh glory was that another hoot! Absolutely loved them! So many fabulous events take place, I'm reeling from the awesomeness! Like in the tunnel, and WHAT happens there! Nah, I'm not going to tell you but I will say this, the saying "when danger looks you in the face" sure takes on a whole new connotation! Divine...but that feeling was quickly replaced with a pounding in my ears and I thought my heart was about to jump out of my throat! Ratching up the tension and drama is another skill crafted so expertly by Ms Harris.
Lucy has really solidified her position, she's really grown a true leader, acknowledging what that means, she's tougher but she's still "her". This quote describes precisely that, "I had compassion, yes, but it was making me stupid and I needed to harden up " So what does she do? Kick ass, of course, target her fury on the Connection, of course; nothing will deter her from justice! But first, the very important retrieval of a certain vital orb is in hand, and holy moly was that a challenge! Lucy's magical skills are tested to the limit, so much so I was agog! Holy moly macarolly and all that is holy was that unexpected! See what I mean? This author is unparalleled fantabulous! The twists she takes us through, the turns she takes, are gobsmacking! Lucy might be the queen but it's Heather who wears the crown. Her characters feel like family, her writing style sucks me in as I traverse this magnificent world with the likes of Lucy, Greg, Ben, Jacob, Xavier, Archie, and of course, the incredible mind, humour and prowess of Esme. She always has me giggling! The growth of the characters is, quite honestly, amazing. Ben, my word what an evolution! What awful choices! He's really come far from being forced into a change, to accept what and who he has become, he's a real sweetie, a person any girl would be proud to call brother. But there were LOTS of shockers too, where my jaw dropped at the revelations, notable a betrayal by a person I would NEVER have imagined! The likes of Tarkers and Wakado enriched the story further, Terrence and Nina, OMG, just STUNNING! This book was truly stunning! It had everything and more, justice served, a wedding, a betrothal, heartache and joy. The whole bang shoot coalesced superbly. . This book got me all teared up, a few times in anguish and dinkum pain and a few times, well that was in pure joy and elation! But cry I did... I actually sobbed on a few occasions, I really yelled out loud and at Heather in my head, I was that distraught! This book was really an incredibly emotional journey, both for Lucy and myself and I loved every second of it, tears aside. And I was able to forgive Heather, barely...! That's Heather's magical gift, she imbues her words with feelings that threaten my sanity, my response to her prose evokes everything in me, whether it's to entice me to laugh or to wring me out like a dishcloth, I relish it! Heather MUST have gotten a spell or have been runed by Amber, to be so eloquent and able to articulate in such a fashion, to be able to hold me to full attention, so that, well geez, I don't want it to end! There couldn't be a more fitting or beautiful ending than in this book, and there I was, yep, tears again! But happy tears, ecstatic tears and all the warm fuzzy feelings in every cell of my body! What a magnificent read! What a magnificent plot! What magnificent action! What magnificent pace setting! What a magnificent world! Do I recommend this book and series? Hells bells YES!
Man… I am exhausted. I tore through Lucy's books like there was no tomorrow and finished book #6 in a matter of hours. And yes - I cried. Not once. Not twice. But three times. There are THREE major deaths in this book, and they absolutely wrecked me. At this point, I really should've learned my lesson: Harris does not pull punches when it comes to casualties.
We've seen this before. In Amber’s books, we lost Abigay for good. In Jinx’s first trilogy, Stone was gone. In Lucy’s earlier books, Mrs. Dawes - someone I actually liked - turned out to be the ultimate black witch. And in this book?
XANDER DIED. TRISTAN DIED. DAVID DIED.
David especially hurt. He was one of my favorites - and then we learn he'd been working for the Domini all along, even if he changed sides in the end. Xander and Tristan's deaths completely broke me. Red eyes. Unstoppable tears. Actual sobbing.
That said, this book isn't all grief. Lucy lands a real blow against the Domini by killing both V (Geneve the dragon) and C (Isaac the werewolf). The orb is restored, all werewolves get their air powers back, and Lucy’s piping reaches a whole new level - she even pipes her own fire power and she restores her great-great-great grandfather's fire power too. Queen of Werewolves, now with fire and air power.
There are big shifts also: Archie and Thea become leaders of the Devon pack, a possible loner pack is hinted at, and The Mystical Informer (run by Elena) releases its very first edition (this newspaper plays a role in Stacy's books).
On the romance front - yes, Lucy is pregnant. A bonus story gives us a glimpse of her and Greg's future: twins named Maria and Luca, Thea and Archie expecting, Liam still with the Home Counties pack, and Jacob the dark seraph gets his wings back (his wings were torned in the final battle in this book).
I don't know if Lucy's fight with the Domini will continue, but this trilogy feels like a powerful, emotional stopping point. Next for me: Jinx's second trilogy (since it runs parallel to Lucy's timeline). Then I'll be fully armed and emotionally prepared for Stacy Wise's fourth book in March.
…Or as braced as one can ever be with Harris.

Power. Revenge. Destiny. The Queen of Werewolves is ready to claim them all. My best friend’s wedding was cancelled and she was arrested. Heather's Notes I can only say I am glad Lucy's story is over. I just don't care for her. I did not like her "it is all my fault" attitude or the way she kept calling herself a monster for doing what she had to do. You are not a monster for killing to keep yourself or others safe. I was glad Geneva was killed, I never did like her. I do not understand why this author insist on killing likeable side characters, or turning them bad. David dropped so many clues that he was part of the Domini that he practically signed his name. Also Tristen needed to die why? Still I do like the series and am very glad I am moving on to Amber's story.

Well, that was a phenomenal conclusion to this trilogy of Lucy and her Pack! Heather's stories are always memorable and of high-quality, but this one just felt.....more. More intense, more raw, more action, more family/friends connections.
The previous book ended with an amazing teaser and watching that resolution made me feel the complete emotional spectrum. So much happened in those few chapters!
Lucy has changed so much since we've known her. Most of those changes were the result of necessity but she has grown into the role of Queen with strength and dignity. She acknowledges that transformation when she admits "I was a murderer." I love the way the author has allowed us to track this process via the first person POV and internal dialogue between Lucy and Esme. I really enjoyed the pay-off (for Lucy and me as the reader) at the end of the book, where she was able to help so many of her people because of the solid ground those changes have stood her on.
There was also the trademark humour! Esme continues to be a source of snort-laughter and the banter between Lucy, Greg and Pack members is a treasure.
I was amazed at how incredibly well these stories have eventually overlapped with the author's other series, considering the time between writing. The links in narrative, the presence of the right people in the right place - perfect! I absolutely enjoyed that and love that the author's imagination was able to pull it off. Kudos to her for her next-level writing skills!
Heather G Harris truly is a gift to readers of urban fantasy. Her presence in this genre is a cornerstone many of us build our reading pleasure around. I will always recommend her books to anyone looking for a guaranteed winner. All the stars!
All hail the Queen! With the crown sat squarely on her head, Lucy has taken up hunting in her off-time… Hunting the Domini (aka “The Order”), the Other’s Illuminati, a group of secretive, powerful and power-hungry individuals from all walks of Other life who pull the strings and don’t take kindly to being refused. Now that Lucy’s made enough waves and refused their invitations, movers and shakers from “The Order” have been popping up trying to put a wolf down.
With Greg Manners, Lucy’s Beta and mate (FINALLY), as well as her wolf Esme, Lucy’s on the case to find The Orb that will reestablish the wind powers that were taken to “put the mutts in their place”! Sure, reconnect the Great Pack and the wolves, reimbue the wolves with their long-lost powers, and take on a powerful shadow organization? No big deal! Just another Tuesday for everyone’s favorite wolfy queen. While she’s at it, Lucy might as well take on an elder dragon whose got her claws and fangs in far too many powerful pies.
Sexy, funny, intelligent, exciting, and with more twists than Grandy’s rotini, this sixth (and thus far, sadly final) novel in the "Other Realm" sister series, “The Other Wolf” is one I cannot recommend enough. This is a phenomenal book that is incredibly fun, witty, and just the right bit of seductive! Beautifully written, engaging, and something that simply cannot be put down, this is a must-enjoy for any Urban Fantasy reader! Enjoy!
I received a free copy of this E-Book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Well what a ride it has been following Lucy’s story. Each book has somehow been even better than the last and this is no exception.
Lucy has been dealing with one battle after another, or, more accurately, all at the same time: Tackling the search for the missing orb, (to return the power of air to the wolves and re-establish Nina’s link to The Great Pack) while also dealing with power hungry alphas, bringing a sense of belonging to the loners, building pack bonds and going up against the seemingly all powerful Domini.
This book sees Lucy prove exactly why she is Queen as, again and again, she brings down her enemies. With Esme’s help and the support of Greg, her friends, family and pack she finds hidden depths and channels all of her powers. That’s not to say that all goes smoothly, as there are losses, heartbreak and deep sadness along the way.
Heather G Harris has a talent for pulling together multiple, complex storylines, with incredible world building and characters that are rich and well developed. She draws you in and makes you fully invested in her characters, which means you should be prepared to get a little bit heartbroken at times, as well as lifted with happiness at others.
I really hope that at some point in time we will return to Lucy’s story, as there is definitely more to be told, but as endings go, this is truly satisfying…for now!
Being Queen of the Werewolves and Alpha to what seems like a dozen packs is wearing on Lucy. But if anyone can jiggle all these balls it is only Lucy. We take up where we left off with Emory in trouble and her best friend hurting. These things make Lucy angry and you don’t want to see Lucy angry. Solving problems is what she does and after helping out as best she can with the Liverpool gang she is back to putting down coups and planning to get the Orb back. Her powers are growing and she can feel her pack coming together. They need to rescue the orb, put down any resistance to the new werewolf order and live happily ever after with her second and mate to be Greg. How hard can it be? Well the answer is very hard and very costly emotionally with sacrifices and surprises that will cause unimaginable personal pain and loss. This is her life though and she will make it better for everyone even if it kills her. What a glorious book, series and world Ms. Harris has crafted. Her brisk and imaginative style move the story at breakneck speed while sending the readers emotions into overdrive. A rare gift from a special author.
Wow! What a phenomenal end to this part of the story! This one gripped me right to the end. It is probably the most intense of them all but there was no putting the book down or looking away it drew me in and held on. I finished it in one sitting and just didn’t want to put it down to do any life stuff I was too invested in what was going on. All the questions in this story arc get answered and it doesn’t finish on a cliff hanger that will leave you wondering what happened but there is definitely scope for more books in this series.
Through this whole series Lucy has really grown as a character and grown into her role as Queen as well as accepting and managing some of the harder aspects of the Other world and this book showcases that really well and makes her a much deeper character than she first appeared to be in Jinx’s books. I would recommend reading this series as well as Jinx and Ambers series as they will draw you in and give you a world that is different to a lot of Urban Fantasy. Lucy has definitely become a character that has dragged me happily into her world.
Being the final book in the 6-book Other Wolf series, I had high expectations of just how the author would bring things together…and this totally exceeded them!
I’ve said before that Heather G Harris has a gift for writing amazing characters: complex and 3-dimensional, they spark the imagination and bring the excellent narrative to life.
The author’s ability to weave these complex storylines around each other is truly exceptional and this is the case with all of her interwoven Other Realm series which makes them all such a joy to read.
There are some interesting developments and situations Lucy and her pack have to navigate in Ascension of the Pack, and not everyone is on board with the changes Lucy’s wrought so there are plenty of surprises to keep you guessing along the way.
Ascension of the Pack definitely has all the feels - I didn’t want it to end. But the way it did…eek! There. Has. To. Be. More! Don’t worry, it’s not a cliffhanger ending but I’m sure all Lucy fans will agree with me in hoping the author will write more on the next chapter of Lucy’s life - she’s a keeper!
Lucy goes both on a stealing trip and a hunting trip as she gets tired of being used and losing those close to the pack. I loved this series.
the sixth in the Other Wolf series, and the third in this segment of Lucy’s story, i devoured this book! Lucy is a badass fucking wolf queen, and while we are starting to see the impact that the ruthless Other Realm is having on her psyche, i was so proud of how Lucy kicked ass in this book!
that’s the best part about the Other Realm - Harris has created a world with intriguing mysteries, incredibly heartwarming romances, and laugh out loud characters, you can’t help but fall in love on the first page. seriously guys, she included one of my LEAST favourite tropes in this book, but she’s got me in such a chokehold for Lucy and Greg that I ate that shit right up and i CAN’T WAIT to read more about their journey.
if you haven’t started the Other Realm series yet - what are you waiting for?! it’s a 10/10 urban fantasy, and i could not recommend they more!
There are few authors that I enjoy reading as much and as consistently as Harris. Her stories are entertaining, her worlds are fascinating and her characters are lovable. Ascension of the Pack hit all the marks.
I had to remember that this series takes place at the same time as the Court Series because it starts off with Lucy’s POV of a major event from that series. These scenes serve to add little pieces to the relationships between the characters so I definitely appreciate them. As such it goes without saying that this is not a standalone. This is best read after reading the other books in this world although given the timeline you could wait to read the Other Witch series.
This book in particular shows us how far Lucy has come in accepting her role as Queen. She is willing to use her influence for her friends and family and she is changing things for her wolves. We also see Lucy step further into the darker aspects of being the werewolf queen. She gets her own hands dirty instead of Esme, her wolf, being the one to do it.
I love her books so much. There are a great many books that I have read lately that I reach a roadblock where my current mindset and the story clash.
With HGH stories, I rarely have a roadblock. They are so well-written, the characters so well-developed, the storylines make sense, and the character actions fit. Even when difficult things are being addressed, it is done in such a way that I do not have to take a timeout before getting through it.
I think it also helps that the books flow from one to the other (with different groupings happening in the same timeline) and that her books are not formula-written (with certain problems being introduced based on % of books). No, her books flow.
I started this book and was just a few pages in and found myself staring into space happily with the thought "HGH, my lady, you give good books!" and then joyfully returned to reading.
All her books are wonderful and this one is no exception.
I really love spending time with the wolves and their allies.
Two rescue missions, attempting to retrieve the orb from a dragon, trying to save the pack from multiple male chauvinists, and more is just another day in the life of Queen Lucy. Will Lucy be able to defeat her foes and restore the air powers for the wolves?
Great page turner with lots of action and adventure. So much action it’s hard to put down and I couldn’t. This is Jinx’s Other Realm Court series story from Lucy’s perspective so you may want to read them together or one after the other. While Lucy has a target on her back from the Domini she continually shines and proves why she wears the crown. Love to get lost in the Other Realm with the stories of Lucy and the imagination of Heather G Harris! Laughter, love, pain, heartbreak and tears, this book has it all wrapped up in the emotional tale. Can’t wait to see what happens next as Lucy battles the Domini for her life and that of her pack!
