Still on the hunt for the notorious Housewife Killer.FBI Agent Ava James rushes to the airport and is the last passenger to board flight 808.
After a few hiccups and mix-ups, she is seated on an aisle seat. The window seat that should have been hers is taken by a beautiful young woman with red hair. After making a note of her surroundings, Ava decides to get some shut-eye. A few hours into the flight, Ava is abruptly woken up from a nightmare. As she takes notes of her surroundings once more, she notices something off about the woman in the window seat. Upon checking her condition, Ava's curiosity turns into shock. It seems there’s foul play involved and everyone on board is a suspect. There's secrecy regarding the dead passenger and her identity. It seems many people wanted the young woman dead. And the early mix-ups with Ava’s seat change was for a reason...
Many lives are on the line and the killer could be anyone on board flight 808.
I am a AJ Rivers fan, but I just don't appreciate when one of her books starts with one story, that catches me immediately, but then goes off into a completely new story. I find it distracting and not as enjoyable. I would have liked this book a lot more, if it were two books, one with one story, and one with the other.
I really wanted to give this book 5 stars, but it left too many loose ends that have to be part of the next book. I loved the book, but hate waiting to find out about Ava’s boyfriend and the case that she was working on when the book started. Regardless of that,it was a great story with some interesting twists and turns. So many deaths and so many criminals needing to be dealt with! It keeps you reading to the very end! I received an ARC of this book from the author and this my honest review.
This book was not worth the time. The author is way too focused on trying to establish a story pattern that includes other stories from their other books into this story to encourage you to read more of their writing. I would say easily 20-25% of this book focused on a completely different case fully unrelated to this story. The ending is so wildly anti-climactic. There really aren’t any twists. This is the kind of book that makes me think I could be a writer…and no one wants that.
The Woman in the Window(Ava James FBI Mystery Book 12)
OMG!!!!!! This book was amazing. It had murder, blackmail, espionage, and mystery. The story kept you on your toes, you were constantly trying to figure out what was happening. I can't wait to read the next book.
It might just be my state of mind and not anything to do with the author.
On her watch back to the East Coast, her preselected assigned seat somehow disappears and she’s stuck in an aisle seat instead. Much to her dismay. After a brief nap, she notices the woman in the window seat is not alive.
A mole, multiple homicides, and lots of action later, at least the mole is uncovered, but the Housewife Killer still overshadows Ava’s caseload.
Agent James is caught up in a new murder. The women sitting next to her in the plane on her way home.
Agent James is involved in a murder of a high profile witness while flying home. The dead woman was the gal in the window seat next to her. Agent James is the one who discovered the Lady was dead. Everything evolves from there. The story is fascinating and keeps you on your seat edge. Had to take my IPad to kitchen with me while making coffee. Couldn’t put it down. Great reading.
FBI Agent Ava James is trying to find a link in one of her cases to a string of murders in San Francisco. After getting what she can from the office there, she takes Flight 808 back to DC. A mixup in seating arrangement puts her in an aisle seat that she hates, while there's a red-headed woman in the window seat. A few hours into the flight, Ava realizes the woman is dead. Now, all of the passengers and crew are suspects. Can she find the killer?
Very involved case that Ava was helping to solve. He got involved because of a murder on the plane she was on heading home. A large syndicate was involved and a dirty FBI agent. She was helping another FBI agency find out who the killer was and pull the case together so that they could take the guilty parties down. Anyone who likes mysteries should read this book.
This is an awesome series. Ava started as a green newbie in the Emma Griffin series, but has since become a force to be reckoned with on her own (much like Emma). This series has me hooked and as soon as I finish one I'm ready and waiting for the next.
Just finished and was not disappointed at all. The storyline is a definite attention grabber. I had trouble putting it down. Mary Stone knows how to write a story that will have you guessing and guessing and still not know. Can't wait to read book 13 of this series. Highly recommend.
I loved this story but I did not like the ending. I thought there should have been more of an ending. There really was no conclusion to slot of the story line. Hope the next book is better
Whew, Ava had to do a lot of run-around with this one. As usual, her instincts are spot on and she gets her culprit. Love the way each case ends with her getting a new one.
As usual, Ava James never disappoints! This is an excellent book, the storyline was exceptional and I enjoyed all of the characters. I recommend it to all! Enjoy!
This was a great story about Ava and team seeing about a dead woman on a airplane and what is going on. There was lots of suspense and action. Thank you
