The Alpha's Uncovered Mate is a standalone book in Eternal Bond Series. It's a full-length romance packed with heart and heat!
Jaymin Snow was born and raised in a small town in Villa Park where she was homeschooled through high school. She writes paranormal and fantasy romance stories full of feisty heroines, unforgettable heroes. She has a husband, three young daughters, and a lovely dog.
Wow, I didn't see this one coming! This book was recommended in a FB group and I was on the fence about reading it whilst giving it the side-eye. The moral of the story, never judge a book by its cover because this one was that good.
Cynthia is one of the strongest characters I've read in a long time, and seeing her pull herself out of the depths of pain and darkness only to be betrayed over and over was gut-wrenching. The story is full of twists and turns that had me reading into the early hours of the morning, I couldn't put this book down.
This is the second book in a series of 3 standalones. I really like the first book, but this one got worse and worse.
1. There is a lot of physical abuse and violence against the FMC. The very first chapter has her being whipped. In the first book, there was a mention of past abuse, but we didn’t have the FMC continually getting hit, bullied, assaulted like in this book.
2. The book is literally the same formula as the first book.
3. At least in the first book, the MMC actually seems to care about the FMC. The author spends time establishing their relationship. Not so much in this one. Instead, Adam, just yaps about how Cynthia should be on his side because they’re mates. He even says it’s a “right” yet he treats her like shit the majority of the time.
Then, it just goes off the rails.
Somehow Cynthia who hated him and was continually betrayed by him, turns around to “have always loved him?!”
He gives her a mating mark without telling her. Lies to her for 75% of the book, and then oh, it’s ok?
They switch up who the villain is towards the end of the book. And a character who was good to Adam but not to Cynthia, suddenly becomes this monster.
I’m so annoyed by this book. Read the first one. Maybe read the 3rd - I haven’t yet - but skip this mess.
For one, the fmc is too much of a Mary-Sue. Abused horribly all her life, betrayed by one and all but still acting blase - I cannot believe the irrational reasoning for her daily abuse when the real perps get away. I do not like reading about a small child getting tortured and no one caring or saving her. Also, can she really stay un-SA-ed in such powerless equations. I do not buy the plot or the conflict.
And to top it all - the mmc is a shallow and undependable d-b! He is the elder estranged son of the abusing family. As a kid, he sees her getting abused - and then conveniently blocks the memory! He is more concerned with landing the alpha position than caring or protecting his mate. The kind of guy who'd drop his soulmate like a hot brick if he believes her a liability. The kind of guy who'd pick a more 'suitable' mate who'd help his ambition than his soulmate.
Even at the end, he fails her by manipulating her and not trusting her. Such an abused fmc deserved a better mmc.
I'm actually glad i didnt DNF this book cause the early part was quite cringe and cliche. Until in around 35%, the plot finally unravels and its finally moving on. Gosh, the roller coaster of emotions.. I wish it have more complex introductions, so we can see the dynamics of Norman-Adam-Cynthia relationship, when they smaller and innocent. Cause i'm expecting more their past conversations, so its clearer why she hate Moore family so much.
I really felt pain after she discovered the truth of the betrayal. When she let herself dying, and didn't even fight back. I cried. A lot. LIKE REAL LOT. I really love all her internal monologues about her dark feelings, cause it felt like me. Felt like I'm the one in her position.
I must say, Cynthia was one of the strongest FMC i ever read of. And i really love strong FMC. She never give up, even though she doesn't have any chance or she's on the bad side. She keep fighting, even to her mate Adam. Her pain was valid. So when she finally give up, I know how hard it must be for her. How badly she want to leave all the things she love and just let go. I understand her completely, its not easy when the people you actually trust with your life for 4 years end up betraying you. You felt out of place, and you felt so alone. So when she stop fighting, I'm on her side. I was with her.
The only reason why this book didnt get full 5 star is, THE GROVEL IS NOT ENOUGH! YEAH ITS CUTE BUT IT SHOULD BE MORE! HE SHOULD BEG! BEGGGGG!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAH
Note to self: This was drawn out and I got bored. The angst was child abuse by a guardian family. It started when the fmc was 4 yo getting weekly lashings with a whip with resulting torn and bloody back. She also had multiple broken bones. Not my cuppa. I did like the H and he was not involved in the physical abuse.

Lots of angst, but the abuse of a child (flashbacks) is triggering. The MC’s spend too much time apart to really develop their relationship. There is a BMU and senseless lack of communication on the MMC’s part. While it could’ve been great, by 50% the failings of the MMC and an anticlimactic, confusing ending made this book fall flat for me.

A real page turner. Be warned though that this may not be for everyone especially if abuse (both child and adult) is a trigger for you. If not, grab your copy then. 😊
I love that this is not my typical mate/ wolf books. It dealt so much about how the heroine was treated. I actually felt sorry and sad for her.
The hero has his own reasons for doing everything. He is definitely swoon worthy but I can't belive that being an alpha, well his fighting skills are rather weak. 😂✌
Overall, an angsty read which I love. But I find how everything wrapped up a bit rushed... so, I have to snip a little star. Still, I must say that after losing some interest in reading books with the same theme (at least for me) this is quite refreshing. I love the side characters as well.
Highly recommended. My first read from this author and definitely won't be my last.

A tear jerker for sure but a really great story of a son young girl that proved with faith you can overcome anything. Its all about what you want to end up not what you started out with
I gave this book a two. It was so much violence against a woman that I had to gloss over reading whole sections of the book. Vicious beatings over and over page after page, an attempted rape, it is just way too much. Why does her shifter books have to be a child (in this beginning at the age of 4) sleeping in filth, kept in the dark about all things wolf, poor and continually beaten to near death.
Im sure there is another way to tell a shifter story without so much violence against women. I welcome that day but until then…. I am choosing to explore others - over it!
This shifter-lite story is not for the faint of heart. It follows Cynthia, a woman who has been betrayed, enslaved, beaten, and exploited since the age of four. She is deliberately kept naive about herself and her world as a means of control.
Then comes Adam, our “hero.” He watches his brother publicly beat Cynthia—multiple times—and throws a few punches in protest, but ultimately does nothing to stop the constant abuse. At one point he remembers that he saw her as a child, bloodied and strung up by his father… and just moved on. When this repressed memory resurface? The author decides it’s the perfect moment for a sex scene—while Cynthia is still battered and bruised from the brother's last public beating. Because nothing says love like bruises and unresolved PTSD.
When Cynthia goes missing for four days after nearly being assaulted? He assumes she’s sulking. She’s actually been imprisoned and nearly beaten to death. Again. Does he save her? Of course not. She saves herself. Again.
To her credit, Snow does allow Cynthia to voice her pain and call out Adam’s many failures. The book offers a deep emotional exploration of betrayal and survival. But in the end, Adam gets off far too easily. So do the villains and other characters responsible for Cynthia’s trauma. Some deserve worse than death but barely receive a slap on the wrist. It’s deeply unsatisfying.
Dark romance is fine. But this is just 400+ pages of suffering with a half-baked redemption arc stapled on. Pass.
If I could rate this 0, I would do it. This was crap, garbage, the worst of the worst. Let’s make a list of some of the horrific things this author did:
-the MMC bit her mate while she was DRUGED! Then never told her. There’s something called CONSENT. This was pretty much a rape and I hate that the author just used this to picture the MMC as a poor selfless hero.
-the MMC and the FMC’s best friends manipulated her for FOUR YEARS! And she forgives them! They managed her whole life while giving her the false impression that she was doing everything by herself when literally her whole character was build around the lack of trust she had on herself and how manipulated she had been while growing up. I was like pls girl go away and never talk to any of this people again.
-adults letting a child being torture with whips and also sexually abuse and then those same adults claiming to love her and wanting to protect her AND THEN THE FMC BEING OKAY WITH IT.
-The MMC was the worst, he was abusive, misogynistic, a liar, the worst man in the world, he abused the same woman he was supposed to be saving from abuse AND THEN THAT GOT SO ROMANTICIZED.
It wasn’t a bad read, but it felt like something I’ve read before. I mean like almost exactly like something I’ve read before, but 🤷🏻♀️ idk.
If this was on one of those sites where you pay per chapter or wait an allotted time to unlock chapters then yeah 5 stars because I expect cheesy half finished lines of plot/characters from those type of reads.
I wanted idk something more from the story line, literally everyone hurt her deeply and they were like “we’re sorry” and then boom it’s all good. How about no? How about we figure out a way to move on without going back to those same people who betrayed you, same pack that watched your abuse.
I love hea books but this felt like it could have made an awesome villain origin story, let her destroy the pack her mate loved enough to destroy her heart for and then fall in love with the equally scarred and damaged character (Robert) that brings her to back from the depths of her rage.
A billionaire shifter story - complete with plenty of dark romance. I liked this one it had a lot of promise but fell short in a lot of ways. Unfortunately this needs a good edit - there was quite a few simple mistakes a small comb through could fix. ( examples: one point the mmc is called Aiden not Adam? Who dat? They also have a joke at the beginning where she calls him Adrian but then it’s mistakenly used again multiple times for him as well. At one point says “You's disgusting”…) Also I felt like the pacing was a little weird. The smut scenes were also meh Either way I enjoyed it and consumed the book very quickly. I might try another by the author. But was pushing myself a little by the end so we’ll see. I mainly came to see the groveling and there wasn’t much of it.
Mfc has been bind in blood oath to mmc father since 4 years old. She is resilient but wishes to escape. Mmc is estranged from father and wants alpha post. Mfc is force to work with mmc and realize they are fated mates. Mmc refuses to marry mfc because he needs ow dad support. Mfc breaks bound an runs away.
FMC just got on my nerves the whole time. She was whiny and annoying. Blaming everyone else for every single thing without taking responsibility for her part. I’m not even all the way through and I had to stop so I could write this. I’m trying really hard to force myself to finish.
2.5 I skimmed so fucking much you won’t believe it. 59% and she just left the pack! The blurb says it like the beginning of the book will start like that! But no It was at 59%. And why the hell did she forgive everyone that easily? The animal inside her broke dude! It shouldn’t been that easy! Last, what the fuck is up with that ending?
If cringe is what you like, then this is the book for you. The girl loved jumping. To conclusions. And never believed in approaching issues like an adult.

Review: The Alpha’s Uncovered Mate 📖💔 📌 My rating: 3.5 stars (but 3 on Goodreads). 📢 This is the second book in a trilogy, but I read it without knowing that, and it can be understood independently. I liked it, but at the same time, I didn’t.
💔 Why? Because this book is SAD. 💔 From start to almost the very end, it’s a dark, painful story full of suffering for the main character.
💜 What’s it about? The protagonist has been abused her entire life, and the alpha’s father is the one keeping her imprisoned. From her perspective, everyone around him is "the enemy." Even though the male lead tries to help her, she can't trust him easily.
🔹 Page after page, it's just sadness. 🔹 The male lead has to prove he's not like his family. 🔹 The last 40 pages are the only "happy" part, but everything before that is suffering.
There are some sweet moments, but they would be spoilers. And if I remove the spoiler moments, there’s no happiness at all in this book.
💜 What I liked ✔ The story kept me engaged, even though it was painful. ✔ The supernatural romance aspect was interesting. ✔ The male lead tries to be better, despite his past.
💔 What I didn’t like ❌ Too much suffering for the female lead. It made me feel awful while reading. ❌ I don’t enjoy stories where the protagonist is constantly mistreated. ❌ The atmosphere was too heavy. Even on her birthday, I felt bad for her (I even wrote, "Happy Birthday, dear 💔").
💜 Final verdict I give it 3.5 stars because it wasn’t a bad story, but it made me feel too bad. Since Goodreads doesn’t allow half-stars, I left it at 3 stars, but honestly, this was an intense and tough read.
📢 If you enjoy stories with heavy drama and suffering, you might like this. But if you’re looking for something light and happy, this is NOT the book for you.
📖💔 Reseña: La pareja descubierta del alfa 📖💔 (The Alpha’s Uncovered Mate)
Me hacía sentir mal mientras leía.
In my experience, about 99.9% of the rejected mate stories out there are total crap. Sorry, but not sorry, that's how I feel. Not sure how this genre is so difficult to pull off, but it is. Although this story isn't technically a rejected mate story, it's close enough for me, and THIS story is how an incredible story of that genre is told. I started this baby yesterday and I couldn't put it down. I'm so lucky that I found this lovely story on one of my angsty FB groups, because the cover and the blurb did not do this story justice at all. I probably wouldn't have even given this story a chance with just the cover art and the blurb to go on alone. And that's a travesty because this story was absolutely....
I don't want to give anything more away, but to say this story sucked me in. I loved all of it. The sex scenes were minimal, and hot. The story was original and very addicting, and I could NOT put it down once I started it. ["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
This is a very enjoyable shifter romance with many layers. But not everyone will be comfortable with the abuse in this story,I found it a bit much at times but I understood that it had to be in the story...It didn't deter me from the enjoying the book. Adam and Cynthia's romance is a very intricate and complicated story. They first meet anonymously and have a passionate night together...It was one night that Cynthia just let herself go. She was a slave to a family that abused her every single chance they got,she has been cursed with a blood debt...Paying the price for her family's debts and now she is nothing to her pack. She has been bound to them since she was only a child and now and adult she works for the Alpha of her pack...One of her abusers, his son Norman is her other abuser. Adam is the eldest son but he doesn't have anything to do with his father and brother and doesn't know about Cynthia being abused. He has made his own success built his own company and is now a rival to his father's company. In order to get her freedom back she has to convince Adam to sell his company to his father...She was sent in as a spy and to seduce Adam...But instead Adam surprises her by caring for her and treating her with kindness...he is the man she spent the night with and the man who is her true mate. But there is more going on than Cynthia realises and she feels betrayed by Adam when she discovers he is engaged to someone else. So Cynthia goes to extreme measures to break the blood bond,as she finds out she is pregnant and needs to protect her child from the Adam, his Father and Norman. Like I said before there is so many layers to this book and there is alot going on so you have to pay attention. Willa Jaymes is the solo narrator to this audiobook and she does a Fantastic job at acting out all the characters in this story...Changing her voice to accomodate each one.Willa is so talented and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to her tell this story to me. Jaymin Snow's writing had me captivated and it was a great book with a lovely ending. I look forward to listening to more books by Jaymin Snows stories. Great book. 5 Stars.
Loved It .... intrigue builds alongside emotion and angst
You can’t break what’s already broken ... it only has room to grow stronger.
I haven’t read a werewolf book this good in a long time. It’s full of emotion, betrayals, and bad choices… very bad choices. There are losses but also victories. This was a real page turner for me and I realized quickly it’s not for the feint of heart.
A little four year old is taken from her home to live with a cruel and evil alpha. The abuse continues on a regular weekly schedule for years. The alpha wants to break her. However, The more abusive he is, the tougher this little girl becomes mentally. As this little girl grows, her mindset is pure survival. Her name is Cynthia most days, but don’t be surprised if the name Anna comes up… you’ll understand as you read.
One day ‘Anna’ is able to sneak away for a few hours, and as fate would have it, she meets her mate. But she has no idea he’s her mate. So many beatings over the last 20 years have repressed her wolf. And wouldn’t you know, her mate happens to be Adam, the eldest son of the cruel alpha. But this son left the pack years ago, he and his depraved alpha father didn’t see eye to eye. And yes, don’t be surprised when she calls him Adrian.
Now, this is where the action, the drama and the plot twists begin to unfold. A blood oath is in play and only can be removed by the Alpha…. or death. How much does Cynthia crave freedom? What is Adam willing to do to free her?
Then there’s Norman, the depraved alpha’s youngest son. He’s every bit as deranged as his alpha father.
As you read pay, attention to supporting characters… especially Tina, Weston, Maya and Tony. Not everything is as it seems. And keep an eye on Norman.
Be prepared for lots of unrest…. brother against brother, greedy and selfish fathers, deceit, angst and upheaval. Just remember, this is not a lighthearted read but it is very satisfying, especially when good battles evil… and wins.

I loved this story and haven't been able to put it down. It is a well-written stand-alone story full of family drama, action, mystery, suspense, betrayal, heartache, love and romance; with plenty of twists. With a four year gap in the middle, this could be 2 books.
Cynthia was made to give a blood bond to an Alpha when she was just four, to pay for her brother's crimes, and she's spent the last twenty years been beaten and mistreated by Jonathan and his family. She's worked as the company PA, unpaid, for years and was good at running firm on his behalf, until his younger son joined as MD and things went downhill due to his lack of business knowledge and drinking. When she gets the chance to have a night to herself she meets a handsome man in a bar and lets him sweep her off her feet, but then flees in the early hours so she's not found out.
Adam is the elder son and future Alpha of his pack but he fell out with his dad and set up his own firm. But while in the city he's struck by a sweet scent and knows he's found his fated mate, he's amazed she can't sense it too. He has a great evening with her but finds her gone when he wakes, and though he searches for her, she can't be found anywhere. He's also frustrated by his dad and brother wanting to make an acquisition of his firm, but when he finally agrees to a meeting he's shocked to scent his mate again.
Adam realises how his family are treating Cynthia but he also knows there's nothing he can do about it, immediately. And when Jonathan sends Cynthia to fix the business deal, she doesn't understand why her wolf keeps acting strangely whenever she sees Adam. But can she trust the man who did nothing knowing how his father treated her when she was a child?

Jaymin Snow is a new to me author and I think I have been missing out.
If your looking for emotional and in depth shifter second chance romance then this is for you. I didn’t know what to expect going into this, but it certainly wasn’t what I read. I didn’t expect to go through an emotional rollercoaster like I did.
Adam and Cynthis were great characters. Both had some major character developments and growth both together and as individuals. Their story full of pain and love and tentative hope. This book deals with some heavy topics and is not for everyone so please read warnings first.
Cynthia blew me away. What she goes through and still come out fighting was incredible. I will say towards the end I was getting annoyed with her but I think that had more to do with wanting the HEA then her as a character because you cant help but put yourself in her shoes and you can empathize on what she went through and understand her reluctance. That twist was not what I expected at all and I could not believe it ended how it did because I need to know confirmations on that asap.
The world was interesting. I felt like there was no real Shifter element until the end which was fascinating. If there was no repeat from the characters or use of Shifter terminology it would be just a regular dark office romance. So, I was intrigued as to why the author wrote it in this way. I ve not read a ‘Urban’ Shifter book before so this was a surprising new experience for me that I surprisingly enjoyed,.
The plot was great, and I really enjoyed how the author really took her time in telling us the story. You could tell that she really wanted us to go on a journey and she takes us on one for sure! Im looking forward to seeing what else this author has in store for us.
Part of the Eternal Bond series each can be read as a standalone with an overprotective shifter and the one who captures his undivided attention. Cynthia was taken at such a young age abused daily with the notions to break her but it only made her stronger yet twenty years of abused caused her wolf to hide, and her to crave freedom more than anything sneaking catching as many moments to herself as possible one day she meets her mate but isn’t sure that he is her mate because her wolf has been dormant for such a while. Adam sexy as all get out oldest son to the cruel alpha who kidnapped/abusing Cynthia he knows he she is his mate instantly he lived with the cruelty of his father instead of living that way he left years ago and when you learn of the blood oath it will be a little clear. But I guess my problem is that he wasn’t any better than his father really in the way he treated her, no he didn’t physically abuse her but he did give her a mating mark without her permission which was just wrong, she disliked him most of the time but because of the mating bond it took a lot of her choice from her which wasn’t right, she just wants to be loved for her but all her life she has been treated like nothing add into the mix the younger brother who is just as bad if not worse as his father but so many questions does she find her family, her real family, will she every find the love she has craved all her life, doe those who hurt her pay for it especially that alpha, his son, do we find out why they wanted to abuse her so badly, and where is she headed not that she is bond to a man who wants to use her just like everyone else she has ever known, will she find peace, her wolf, happiness?
I did not like this book. To start there are quite a few typos and continuity errors. The story had potential but I think the love story lacked chemistry. I like these types of rejected mate stories because I love a groveling MMC but in this story there is waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much damage done for the groveling to make any sort of difference for me. It was too little too late. Then with the FMC softens to the MMC it just feels false.
Lastly, there was a lot about this story that just didn’t make sense to me. Here a list of what I can remember of the top of my head. It will contain spoilers so be warned.
🤨 Why was the Alpha so oblivious to his son’s incompetence when it came to his business? 🤨 Why would the Alpha want a degenerate to lead the pack? 🤨 How is this corrupt Alpha even leading this pack? It’s stated that he bribed all the officials but with what money? 🤨 Norman’s motivation makes no sense. None at all. 🤨 What was Norman’s end game? Just to have power, but for what? 🤨 Why would Tina’s dad be helping Adam become Alpha when he’s been working with Norman the whole time? This one really has me confused. 🤨 At one point Adam says, “no male has ever laid a hand on a female shifter in this pack” when he’s berating his brother for attacking Cynthia….yet…. Jonathan abused Cynthia, obviously Norman did as well, then there’s Tina’s dad, literally killing multiple women. Uhhh bro you need to pay more attention. 🤨 How is a 4 year engagement satisfying to Tina’s dad? Is he not suspicious that they’ve taken so long to Marry?
