More than other volumes in this series, this was a slice out of Rentt's life before the big things happen. Knowing how things went on earlier volumes, I am sure it less fluff and more content even if is not always clear to me as a reader. Don't get me wrong, I like slice-of-life if it comes with an interesting world and somewhat developed characters, which it does. Now if only the explanations were less repetitive and the speed of the plot a little bit faster it would be a perfect series...
There was very little in the way of plot or character development in this volume, it mostly consisted of foreshadowing things to come, and felt lackluster.
