From the ashes of a shattered empire, a God King rises seeking chaos.
After four years of peace, rumor of a new Aternien leader reaches the Union of Nine; a dark god forged from the ashes of defeat.
Twisted by a malevolent hunger for revenge, Apophis, the embodiment of the Egyptian God of Chaos, seeks to destroy humanity and remake the universe in his image.
Master General Carter Rose always knew this day would come.
Ready with the next generation of augmented super-soldiers and a new Longsword II-class battleship, Carter will once again protect a people who had once forsaken him. But this time his secret weapon is a prodigy forged in the crucible of war - the first new Master Commander in a century.
Carter knows that even this may not be enough. His only hope lies in making a pact with an exiled faction of Aterniens. They hold the secret to defeating the new God King.
But can Carter trust his sworn enemy not to betray him?

Once I start these stories I can’t stop. I try to savour the book but I just can’t turn the pages fast enough. The action and the excitement really grip me and doesn’t let go. I can’t wait for the next one.
After four years of peace or better quiet, rumors of a new Aternien leader spread and Master Rose and Carina lead the investigation and have to rely on an old enemy to help them. Another enteratining read in the Aternien Wars series. I'm looking forward to the next ones.
With the defeat of the ole foe comes the rise of a new and maybe more dangerous forest on destroying everything and creating chaos. New allies come out of nowhere to help. Good Read.
Excellent continuation to the Aternien Wars with the characters being promoted and the reintroduction of Post human augmetations for the next Aternien war.
And of course I'll keep reading... Gotta see how they dispatch of the bad guys... He's doing a great job of keeping me reading. How many more books are in the series? :-)
