This is my first book by this author! But it won’t be my last! This story pulled me in immediately. I read this book in one sitting. I felt like this book had great pacing. The characters are interesting. There was good character development. I don’t want to give anything away but I definitely enjoyed this mystery and couldn’t wait to find out what happened!.

I just finished the new book by Lauren Lee titled Murder in the Mom’s Club. I have to say that I have only read the books in her Detective Dahlia series which I really enjoyed and couldn’t wait to jump into this new series. If I am reading correctly, this may only be a duet of two books. It was so good that I am looking forward to the next book.

There are six moms in this group and the newest member, Carolyn, hasn't even met Taylor yet. Why? Taylor is missing! There is also Marisol, Alexis, Sydney, Hayley. The introduction to the characters in her emails shows us that these are not your typical moms. They are all drop dead gorgeous. I did forget to tell you this story takes place at an affluent beach community. Maybe that is why these ladies don’t look like the mothers did when I grew up! I will have to say that the character development was spot on. It was not hard to keep the six women separate in my mind. I don’t like it when I can’t keep characters clear in my mind and have to refer back in the book to figure it out. I am happy to say that did not happen.

Carolyn and her family are new to town and school started the week before they moved in. She meets the Mom’s Club in the morning when she is dropping off her son at school. She works from home and was able to accept a coffee invitation where she finds out that nobody knows where Taylor is. This is the beginning of figuring out what may have happened to Taylor.

The book has a major twist at the end. That is all I can really say because I don’t want to ruin it for you. The next book will have some bombshell revelations for us that I surely don’t want to miss. So much happened in this book and the next one is sure to keep us glued to our chairs until we know how this all works out.

If you love good mystery, psychological suspense and domestic thriller thrown in, then this book should be on your radar. Until next time…Happy Reading!

I REALLY ENJOYED THIS BOOK!

This was a fast read page turner that I would have read in one sitting if I could. Poor planning on my part.

Quite a colorful cast of characters in the Moms' Club. Stereotypes? Yeah but I'll bet you know the types in real life. I know I did. They are so different yet they seem to function because of (in spite of?) those same mismatches of talents, personalities, interests, flaws, and just about any other attribute you might imagine.

Our lead character is new in town, doesn't really know anyone or anything about the place and is missing the connectivity and support of her group from her last hometown. First day of school after dropping off her young son, she stumbles across these ladies and over coffees they meet, greet, and a new member (the normal one?) has joined.

One of their group has gone missing for a few days. She's done so before but not without first talking to someone. Never for so long. She's not in the hospital. Police have nothing. Husband is very distraught. And the twisty tale progresses from there.
Is she just missing?
Has she run away?
Injured while out of the house and unable to get help
Kidnapped by some thugs?
Murdered?
Something entirely different?

Time to get yourself a nice drink, a comfy chair, and a nice bit of free time to try to solve the mystery(s).

Here's two clues: The butler didn't do it, nor was it Colonel Mustard, in the Conservatory, with the Lead Pipe.

But if not them, then who?

Solid four stars and I'm glad to see how many other books this author has written. I'll be reading her again!

This was my first book by this author, but definitely not my last! Solid 4.5 stars, and I'm excited to see she has plenty more books for me to dive into.

The Moms' Club has quite a colorful cast of characters. Stereotypical? Sure, but I'll bet you recognize these types in real life. Even though I'm not a mom, I felt that motherhood was well represented, and I appreciated that nothing was sugar-coated.
There's a major twist at the end that I won't spoil for you. Let's just say the next book promises some bombshell revelations that I definitely don't want to miss. So much went down in this book, and the sequel is sure to keep us on the edge of our seats until everything gets resolved.
If you're into mysteries, psychological suspense, and domestic thrillers, this book needs to be on your radar!

I was so lucky to receive an advanced copy of this book. It came right at the perfect time, too. I was in a reading slump. Nothing could hold my interest; I was starting books and then stopping them. My mind was wandering and nothing could hook me. And then I got my hands on the Moms’. I was sucked in immediately and finished within twenty-four hours. Fast-paced with interesting characters and a mystery that kept me turning the pages. Happily, the ending came as a surprise (and that’s all I’ll say to avoid giving anything away!). Long story short, I loved Murder in the Moms’ Club and highly recommend.

I had never read anything by this author but I will definitely be watching for more books from her. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I felt pulled into this storyline. The characters are great, I felt like I even knew some of them. The mystery was very good, I was surprised. Don't start it unless you have time to finish it, because I found that out the hard way. I was halfway thru the book and had to stop to go to work and all I could think about was this book!!!.

A missing mom!

When her family moved to a new state, Caroline Mantini lost her circle of friends. She’s hoping to find a new circle and this unlikely group of moms at her son’s school just might be it. When one of the women disappears, Caroline wants to help find her. What she discovers instead is terror!

This is a good mystery with plenty of drama and suspense. I look forward to reading the next book in the series. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
