Ari Wright resides in a sun-soaked corner of the United States, where she spends her days raising littles, cooking, reading, consuming massive amounts of music, and doing entirely too much daydreaming.
Ari began writing novels at the age of twelve. A passionate book-lover all her life, her mother once joked that she had to start writing her own stories because she had read everyone else’s. After fifteen years of writing, Ari finally set out to author her debut contemporary romance novel... instead, she wrote two!
It has been her lifelong dream to share the worlds inhabiting her mind with others. Welcome to her dream come true!
This book is a mixed bag - it was cute, and the characters were mostly lovely. It’s fated-mates, insta-love, and I eat that shit up. Still, at the same time, it has so many moments that I cannot reconcile with.
Meg slapping Declan twice across his face during group foreplay in the car came from NOWHERE! And, it isn't followed up at all - he seems to enjoy it, but it gave me a jump scare. They didn’t like each other at this point, so it felt entirely off. There was nowhere near enough trust between them to be venturing into this sort of sexual activity.
Meg and Ronan’s "daddy" play gave me second-hand embarrassment. It wasn’t sexy; he just sounded like he was talking to his child. I’ve read good daddy kink, and this was not it.
The alpha love interests have absolutely no romantic feelings or attraction towards each other, but they suddenly start jacking each other off because Meg likes to watch them - I’m sorry, what? I’m so confused by how pointless this is; it adds nothing to the story other than queerbaiting and fetishising gay men. Surely?
And finally, this one is probably on me - but I work in digital marketing, and the idea that you can interview for a social job with no industry experience or interest in the team/sport is LUDACRIS. Even the idea that a football team would only have one social media manager is dumb. The fact that the people on the interview panel were the CEO, the team doctor and the QB?! Just no. AND THEN, she turns up to interview and has redesigned their logo? That is not a social media manager's job. A new logo for a sports team would be a massive project with months of work from teams of people. It's not something mocked up by a random person who's never watched the sport and knows nothing about the brand or team.
None of that really matters though, because even with her advanced degrees, she practically gives up on her career soon after she meets them.
Honestly, with all these red flags, I almost missed the fact that the story had no plot at all. The climax is basically Meg’s heat - a staple moment in any cookie cutter OBA book. That's sort of it.
This one ends in the pile of DNF. The pile of life is too short to wince through a 500 page book when you already know the formula.
So she's great at research and being a marketing/social media guru, but is a total blonde when it comes to Omega scent match dynamics?
Then by Chapter 22 where I left off, they still haven't fully hit it off and Declan is in the cliché role of the asshole of the group, yet we also know there is the other woman angle that will come up at some point. I don't have the time nor the energy.
So, if you want/don't mind stereotypical Omegaverse roles/plot line, then go for it.
🏈 Bookish Thoughts This was exactly what I needed! Knot Her Goal is an omegaverse why choose romance and very low angst. I did want to punch Declan for about 80% of this book but he grew on me by the end! Theo had my heart from the first money though!

⋆˚࿔ review 𝜗𝜚˚⋆ 0⭐️ Dnf@38% Umm… why was this even written? I already hated that fussy little fucker 😭 but then he licked the couch. And now I can’t stop visualizing it—like a rabid dog that seriously needs to be put down 😑.
The book was already embarrassing and cringe, but apparently the author said, “you haven’t seen anything yet.”
I knew I was gonna pay for giving those five stars, but damn… I just can’t.

The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 🖤💙🩷💚 Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙 World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏 Character development: 🙂🙁😉🥰 Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙 Narration Type: Dual Narration
The heroine:Megora - she is fired from her job because everyone thinks omegas are too fragile, too sensitive and need too much time off for their heats. Not many places would even hire an unbonded omega, though she has her master's degree and knows her job. She was living week to week as it was and getting cut off without severance or health insurance really hurt. Especially because she has a heat upcoming in eight weeks and now wouldn’t have access to pain management medication.
The Heroes: Ronan Ash - the billionaire owner of the Orlando Ospreys and the leader of the all-alpha pack known as the Ash pack. He is a broody, grumpy man who has a short temper lately. Declan Howard - the star quarterback of the Orlando Ospreys professional football team. He was Today magazine’s sexiest man alive twice. Though he played poorly last year after a scandalous break up. Theo Mathews - all pro tight end of the Ospreys. He has been friends with Declan his entire life. Dr. Archer Monroe - the team doctor. He has a mind for strategy and has known Ronan since they were in college. He helped Ronan get back at his abusive father. He also gave Ronan the idea to buy the football team for their pack to be together.
The Story: The Orlando Osprey’s team needs a new social media manager, and Meg knows she is perfect for the job. The team plays their first game on the following Sunday, and she can see they really need help with their marketing, she could really do a lot for the team. Though after filling out the application, she sees the fine print that says unbonded omegas can’t be hired for their own safety. She decides to hide her designation as an unbonded omega and apply for the job, posing as a beta.
There is an attraction right away that the alpha’s don’t really understand, and though Meg wow’s them with her plans and qualifications, she has some sort of heat event and ends up leaving the office and running out of the building after passing out in the bathroom. She ends up in the elevator with Theo who immediately knows she is an omega and very likely the fated mate of the pack. When he tells the rest of the guys that Meg wasn’t a beta but was an omega that turned him into a frenzy.
I liked the fact that each of the guys had their own backstory and issues. Declan had betrayed his pack in the past when he fell for an omega that the rest of them didn’t like, and they were still fractured, and the team hadn’t been doing well. Declan didn’t want Meg around and she wasn’t fond of him either. Their animosity kept things interesting.
I am not sure that I am a big fan of the omegaverse trope. In this one the “true mate” type thing is really what they referred to as scent mates. The omega perfumes when she is around a bunch of alphas which can send them into a mating frenzy. That is why it is so dangerous for unbonded omegas to be around unbonded alphas. I am also not fond of the fact that the alphas purr, like cats and the fact that they make a nest for the female. What is wrong with a bed? Though overall, the story was good, I liked al the characters and how protective they are of Meg and how they cherish her.
This audiobook was told in multiple points of view and was narrated in dual narration by Brooke Daniels and James Cavenaugh. Brooke Daniels is one of my favorite female narrators, she has a terrific voice and is great at using different voices for different characters. James Cavenaugh has a nice, natural voice. He is also good at voicing different characters.
Meg has been recently let go from her job and without the health insurance she's desperate to find something else before her heat hits. She finds an opening for the Osprey football team and though it's clear the job isn't intended for an Omega she applies and her life changes forever
****** I love me some omegaverse, Baby and the late night howlers is one of my most frequent rereads so trust me I went into this book with allllllll the excitement
The good Scent matching pretty early on so no long drawn out build to the relationship Knots, heats and all the goodies Theo Roman Archer I'm in my Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce era so I was here for this
The not so good
*Some things appeared and others disappeared never to be found again😂 Meg's best friend?? You're telling me she struck it good with rich AF men and her bestie wasn't even there for game day? The same bestie who let her sleep on her couch and who's been her omega coach for years? Ummmm ok *The sex ughhhh the guys have said over and over they're not sexually attracted to each other yet during a session Meg asks one to jack the other and they just go along with it? And this continues too? And everybody's just like ok?! Huh. Also in that weird ass session Meg slaps Declan across the face and I was surprised, I mean I've never heard of an omega being that type but I was ready to roll with it and it happened and that was it....no discussion never happened again nothing! *Declan.... he hated Meg and rejected her from jump.....no explanation no reasoning nothing. I fully expected him to leave the pack.....then bam he's got issues from his childhood that make him this way Yadda Yadda Yadda and *Meg just consistently chases this asshole wanting to love him🙄 bitch! Then he flips almost to the end and it's alllllll good to go now *Meg cried so many times she has to be dehydrated *Meg resisted the relationship so much on the beginning it got irritating *Meg *Meg *Meg *The sex
I was hooked immediately. This book gave me everything I wanted: a strong, but hesitant Omega, great Alphas with different personalities that were easy to tell apart, lots of sweetness and spice, healing through bonding, a focus on the Omega, and lots of domestic moments with just enough story and angst. The sports part of the book was really background in this case, and I was fine with it. The dynamics of Meg's relationship with each Alpha were different and unique to the couple. I think sometimes that can get lost in OV books, but Wright was very successful.
There are definitely parts that won't work for some people: Declan's actions, discussion of sexual histories, Daddy kink. The only part I think should should have been made more clear was her social media job with the team.
This book will be sure to appeal to readers of Jillian West and Devyn Sinclair.
4.1 — no plot, no thoughts, just knots. I saw the problems the other reviewers mentioned but they just didn’t bother me. I don’t like cartoon covers so it took me a long time to open this. will be good for fans of “one pucked up pack”
The pace of this book was great, moving along, developing character growth at a nice rate with no dry spells ( yeah that kind too Lol). There was no big "problem or climax" to disrupt the flow, good or bad that depends on the readers' tastes. I loved it.
"I can breathe. I can think. I can soar, because I’ll always know the way home."
♡ Omegaverse ♡ Four Alphas ♡ Gentle omega ♡ Sports romance ♡ Found family
After being forced out of her job because of her designation, Meg's determined to find another job as quick as she can. Since her heat is coming on quickly, she needs health insurance for her meds! However, finding a job as an Omega isn't easy. That's how she finds herself applying to a job and lying about her designation. Passing as a beta can't be that hard, right? WRONG. Especially this close to her heat in a room full of handsome Alphas that keep barking at her. Meg leaves the meeting as fast as she can perfuming all the way to her car. Hopefully, none of them noticed, right? Wrong again!!
•The sweet omega: Meg, was your ideal omega. Independent, but submissive in the best ways!!
•The alphas: Ronan, the pack leader. Theo, the 6'6" golden retriever. Archer, the brains. Declon, the broody moody alpha.
•Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ •Plot:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ •Humor: 🙃 •Spice:🌶🌶 •Ending: HEA
Meg didn't ask to be an Omega and having to basically raise herself her understanding of Omega's in heat is not all that much. Meg applies for a new job not filing the status she is an Omega and hoping to pass for a Beta, goes awry when she is doesn't go exactly as planned when one of the four alpha's uncovers her secret. It isn't long before she is being courted by the Ash pack, but one member is less than pleased by her acceptance in the pack.
Declan has his reasons for not wanting to get close to Meg. The others in his pack are falling hard for the little Omega and Declan cannot deny that she is a beauty, nor that he would not mind aa tumble with her but he has been burned before and his prejudices are keeping him far away from any happiness he could have. Can he let his past go to give his pack a chance at forever after or will he continue to drive a wedge between them?
This was a great read. A bit angsty between the Declan and meg angle but it all works out once you get the back story. Loved the characters especially Theo. Meg was really sweet and Theo is all over it.
Loved 3/4 of her alphas. The last one had a pity party every time he messed up by rejecting her, being verbally cruel to her, publicly humiliating her, and/or letting her believe he despised her and didn't want her. This goes on until the very end of the book and he never grovels. He feels sorry for himself and SHE has to comfort him multiple times while he never truly apologizes. And because she's drawn to him as her scent match, she just forgives him every time.
Without that guy (or if he had truly redeemed himself), this could have been a much higher rating. The other alphas were wonderful, even if some of them were hesitant at first. I didn't even mind the insta lust. They treated her so well.
Her job thing was a moot point though. It's rarely brought up after they realize she's their scent match, and she lets them take control of her life under the guise of taking care of her. Ultimately, this has all been done better.
Tropes: why choose omegaverse, age gap, football romance, billionaire daddy, cinnamon roll doctor, golden retriever athlete, alphahole quarterback, rejected mate, scent matches, found family. Rating: 3.75✨
I guess this is a MFMMM kind of situation here, but I’m not sure ‘cause even tho the guys said multiple times that they weren’t romantically involved, there still are a few scene where there is some kind of m/m action so I don’t know. I’m not sure what to say about the scene where Meg slaps Declan’s face twice. Like why would you do that? Their relationship just wasn’t to the point where they were comfortable enough or where they had built that kind of trust to be doing something like that, so yeah it was a big no no for me. I will say that the scene between the guys after the bonding was beautiful and that Archer and Theo were my favorites.
A low-angst RH Omegaverse book with no third-act breakup. Y’all know that’s my jam, so I devoured this. It’s the classic “Omega-who-tries-to-hide-her-designation” plot, but with professional athletes and billionaires.
It’s 430 pages, and probably 200 of those are sex scenes (not complaining, just a fact haha). It’s very high spice. There’s no sword crossing exactly, but our FMC likes when her guys mess around a lil bit, and they gladly do it for her. 👀
I wanted to like this book but I guess it was not for me. In other books of similar tropes, the FMC at least has the backbone of laying down the law before the MC who mistreats her. And as a supposedly independent character, she let the alphas take control of her life so easily. Any way, the plot was good but a bit of dragged .
okay let me preface this by saying i’m an extremely emotional reader and things that might not bother other people….bother me around my peak emotional state 😂
i loved this book and if it weren’t for certain things it would have been a five star.
there are things that i loved!
Their group texts, the helping hands 😏, the way they cared for Meg and wanted to make sure she was comfortable because she’s never been in a pack before….it all made up for my hang ups 😂
Remi was such an amazing best friend and i hope she gets a book.
i love the omegaverse and i will continue to read this author!
honorable mention for Theo because he’s lovable and goofy and giant 😭 Finders Keeper Foreverrrrrrr
⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️
HOWEVER!!!!!
the men in the pack were ALL about Meg (even the one that pushed her away the most) from the start and none of them even THINK of any ow…..BUT the mentions of how Ronan (the head alpha) was an omega chaser, always fucked omegas and betas behind the bar he frequented or in a bathroom stall, how he’s too much handle sexually….it all just made everything seems so icky. let’s not even talk about the daddy kink 🫣 that is just not my thing 🤷🏻♀️and he’s like 40 so i feel like that’s too old to be a whore 😂 it was only really mentioned a couple of times but it stuck with me the whole time. Archer is the same age as Ronan and he volunteered at heat clinics so he has knotted a bunch of omegas and it didn’t really bother me because it was so clinical and it was only mentioned once. Declan had a thing with an omega a year ago that made some drama because it really messed him up but he didn’t want anything to do with the ex and she tried to make Meg doubt Declan but it didn’t work. and Theo…..he was my absolute fave. he’s never knotted anyone and i LOVE that.
i think what bothered me the most was that Meg has never been knotted and had limited experience (BUT WASN’T A VIRGIN THANK THE GODS) and none with alphas but all her alphas have been with lots of other omegas before her.

This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Nothing happened. Literally nothing. There was no plot and not even in a spicy way. Just nothing. I don’t think I’ve ever been so bored reading a book and I’ve read Anna Karenina.
I don't know how I feel about *The* A-hole packmate just basically getting away with being awful just cause, you know trauma, but also just stuff that literally everyone else also dealt with...
It felt like a cheap cope out to not have to explore yet another relationship but build tension for the plot somehow... just not great one.
Also the fact that there's Daddy Play with the Alpha who has the biggest Age Gap with her and it's both in and out of the bedroom... made me nauseous af. Sooooo uncomfortable. Almost had to skip scenes. They treat it like an inside joke in the book but yikessssss.
**My ARC Review** Wow! I had such a fun time reading this book! I read it in less than a day!! If you’ve never read an Omegaverse this would be a great one to ease yourself into.
In this story we met Megera (Meg) who’s an unbonded omega, with no job, no money, no health insurance for her heat suppressants, no family, grew up most of her life in foster care, has only depended on herself and doesn’t really know much about being an omega. She’s sassy and feisty but she’s also very vulnerable and doubts herself occasionally.
She applies for a marketing position for the Orlando Ospreys football team and lies about being an omega and says she’s a beta, because in this world full of Alphas they don’t want omgeas working for them. 🤷🏼♀️ That lie falls apart when she meets Declan Howard (star QB and alphahole) Ronan Ash (owner and billionaire) Asher Monroe ( lead physician) and Theo Matthews (pro bowl tight-end) because they eventually find out that Megera is their Scent matched mate which is rare.
I love the journey we go on with the Ash Pack and Meg. Meg is learning how to be an omega and embracing that side of her, being vulnerable with the pack, BUT don’t think she can’t set them in their place because she can. We see the men heal in different ways, we see a lot of childhood trauma and betrayal and abuse so they need Meg just as much as she needs them. Seeing them eventually come together and heal and love one another was so happy to see!
I will definitely continue in this series I’m hoping the next book is Meg’s best friend Remi and her getting a happy ending as well! 💕

🏈 Football/sports romance 🏈 Why choose 🏈 Age gap 🏈 Billionaire Daddy 🏈 Cinnamon Roll Doctor 🏈 Golden retriever athlete 🏈 Alphahole primadonna QB 🏈 Rejected mate 🏈 Found family 🏈 Knotting/Heat 🏈 Smart/independent FMC 🏈 Omega in disguise 🏈 Low angst/lots of swoon 🏈 Forced proximity/workplace
This book focuses on relationships, not only between the O and the As but between all pack members. I do wish we would have resolved Declan's issues sooner, and I wished for more of a comeuppance for the ex, but that's not exactly how life works, and sometimes, it's best to just be happy focus and on the good.
