My favorite poems were "I Ask the Gingkos for Forgiveness", "Beyond the Gates," and "The Days You Were Drowning". I love how the author describes trains, cemeteries, and of course her love for Kansas City.

Skimmed. Poems. Okay. Nicely vague but not sure sometimes what one line has to do with the next. None that stuck out at me, but very “poetic” in the college creative writing program way. 😏
