Coach K’s words echo in Yu’s ears, the image of Carmen’s unconscious body still fresh in his mind. Dirty tricks had always been a possibility―the Santorinos were known to use underhanded tactics like bribing referees and doping to gain an edge in their matches. But attacking Carmen took things too far…and Yu is going to make Fabrizio pay. When the day of the middleweight championship arrives, the audience quickly realizes they have bought tickets to a showdown between a man and a monster. Yet the true monster may not even be in the ring at all…
This writer has a crazy handle on how to manipulate the audience. Makes the most hatable opponents in the series so far, makes us cheer for their defeat during the start of the match, then turns it around completely and makes us take back everything we thought about them🤯
The author is crazy good u go from hating characters to liking them and sympathizing with them. Literally the message of this manhwa has to be don’t judge a book by its cover but with people.
That felt like a bit of a cliche, but the execution was still good. So overall I'd say something like 4.5 stars for this volume. The end of which seems unusual. If the next volume doesn't do a good job explaining things, I can easily see myself being like ``what is this? My suspension of belief can't handle this''.

This is exactly what I was thinking about this book and said in a much better way than I could have said it. The characters in this whole series have been so well written.
Another good volume, and this one somehow has an even more depressing backstory than Yu’s last fight! Yippee!
It’s kinda crazy how well JH flipped my dislike in this volume, though - the Santorino’s came across as the most despicable people in the story so far, but pretty quickly JH made them likeable. It’s also insane how much of a monster K is slowly revealing himself as being.
This series is incredible of making me flip sides on who I am rooting for in each fight. Every time I think I'm on someone's side, they give me the back story of the other guy and flip like a pancake. The story telling in this series is so good and the artwork continues to be amazing. Can't wait for 8.
