Maple and her team have arrived at the 9th stratum, a world clearly divided in two factions. It is clear the next big event will be a player vs. player with one side facing the other. Before Maple can pick a side though, they first want to do a bit of exploring. As expected, Maple cannot stay out of trouble and is suddenly forced into a quest, because ignoring it would seriously hamper her style.
What follows is a volume as we are used to, entertaining and fun characters playing a game together. No deep story or character development, just people (mostly cute girls) doing fun things, even if I personally don't understand the drive behind PvP (I tend to avoid it in MMOs like the plague). It should be said that the afore mentioned quest is a bit extreme even for this game, but I don't mind too much considering the nature of the series.
All in all, an entertaining if short read. Looking forward to the next volume.

What an absolutely excellent read!!
Classic BOFURI, elevated to a whole new level!!
I loved absolutely everything here - the level (9th stratum), the quests, the mechanics, the crazy skills, the interpersonal relationships… this is my favourite volume of Bofuri in quite a while!!
I am *so* keen for the next volume! We haven’t had a proper PvP in so long! And never on a scale like this!! I *cannot* wait!!! October cannot come fast enough…

Love the story but wish I got a little bit of a spoiler for the next book at the end.
