I absolutely loved the first book, but as I got through the second and third, I began to lose interest in the trilogy. I will say that the series as a whole is very interesting, and it keeps you on your toes. However, this is also a book series that I could see being adapted into a tubi movie with the plot lines and whatnot.
I'm so conflicted about my feelings for these characters. Monica (sigh) Girl is a fireball when it comes to her profession, but to a fault. She's still stuck on Kochese and jealous that her psycho sister got him and had his babies. Kochese and Jasmine are batshit crazy and I'm actually shocked that those 2 managed to get away with everything! Between the 60 bodies they dropped, managing to smuggle their babies to costa Rica, and freeing Jasmines crazy tail out the prison. It's all so wild. Certain parts of the book left me stunned. For example, when Kochese has to alter his appearance again, he's injected with Melanin that leaves him the shade of Idris Elba and the use of neuromic to be a literal voice in his clone's head! In the end we see Kochese and Jasmine get away with their dirt for a second time, While Monica gets the boot from her job.
I would say that overall, it's a good book. It's definitely a page turner and does a good job of keeping the reader's attention. Granted the story is urban fiction, some parts of the story go way off the rails. It leaves the readers with questions about Monica's wellbeing afterwards. In all 3 books Monica is subjected to literal hell on Earth, between the death of her parents, Kochese and Jasmine. I would like to see her have a happy ending. I would also love a follow up book on the lives of Kochese and Jasmine and see if their crimes catch up to them.

Nearly no loose ends… The third installment was everything I didn’t know I wanted. This brilliantly written street tale kept me intrigued at every new development, and diabolical deed enacted... I imagined vividly each detail the author divulged, mouth agape… This read does not lack those, omg, wtf, nooo! & heck naw moments of shock and horror. Moreover, this was an epic way of closing out a great trilogy... I enjoyed every book… Bravo Dean Swift (Sir Swift)… aka Blacc Topp
