Due to the onset of a seemingly never ending winter, the cold weather and continuous snowfalls drastically change the life of Yukihisa and other characters around him. From collective transportation failure to remote teaching and his mother losing her job, "winter" and a sense of confinement slowly deteriorates Yukihisa's mental health.
While no major plot events occurs throughout the story, the slow description of Yukihisa's life and the development of a love story was really enjoyable. Especially interesting was the seemingly parallels drawn to the corona pandemic and global warming. E.g. the forced lifestyle changes and the consequential feelings of anxiety were described well.
