Book six in the box set I have sees Kate helping a young woman after finding her dishevelled in the rain...her story is harrowing.

The villain is a nasty piece of work but Kate is determined to help Megan.

Although Kate doesn't always make the safest choices, I liked her tenacious ability to get things done. I love her relationship with Hubert, another great character.

Well-written, if disturbing due to the despicable human behaviour, though certainly engaging.

Just not my thing. I don't think I am a "cozy" mystery lover. I just feel irritated by the bumbling endangerment.
