I liked Calvin & Grace’s story, but it wasn’t one of my favorites from the series. I loved Calvin & really enjoyed his character. But I had a harder time loving Grace. At first she was fun & was full of surprises- which I liked at first, but her reckless behavior & how she didn’t take much seriously was what had me changing my opinion. I understood her reasoning for why she did what she did, but at the same time she was 24 & needed to be more responsible.
I am excited to read Grace’s sister, Hope’s story. And I’m hoping to see Luke get a story too!

WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.
Calvin and Grace met when she is running away from her wedding. Calvin finds her walking along the road in her bare feet. Calvin wants to take Grace back to her family but she doesn't want to do, so he takes her the the MC headquarters. Calvin lets Grace hang out there for a while, he's still on duty as the sheriff. When Calvin comes to check on Grace he finds her talking to one of his brothers and get jealous. So Calvin takes Grace with him and they go on patrol. Grace tries to get Calvin to lose up but because he lost someone he cares about he has strict rules. Calvin takes Grace to his home after she tells him she's not ready to go back to her family. Grace makes supper for them and Calvin enjoys his meal. Calvin lets Grace take his bed while he sleeps on the couch, they both don't get much sleep thinking about one another. Calvin takes the next day off, when he comes back from his run Grace is making breakfast. When Grace finds out that Calvin has the day off she tells him she has a surprise for him but he doesn't like surprises. Grace takes Calvin skydiving, when he's up in the air he's not sure he wants to do it. When Grace takes off into the air he knows he needs to go after her. After Calvin catches up with Grace he tells her several time to pull her cord but she doesn't. Calvin pulls it for her, when they land he yells at her for being reckless. After they go on a walk through the forest, Grace strips herself down and run away from Calvin. Calvin kisses Grace and then pleasures her but tells her her first time won't be in the forest. When Calvin takes Grace back home, he's not sure he can be with someone so reckless. Grace talks to her sister, Hope, Knocked Up who makes her see that she needs to stop being reckless. Grace finally realizes that she loves Calvin so she goes to find him only for him to be coming to her door. Calvin carries Grace back to her home, but she tells him her place is closer. Calvin pleasures Grace then they make love. One year later, Calvin and Grace head to Oregon to help Hope find her baby's daddy. Grace already booked Calvin's ticket to go with them. Calvin and Grace are married and expecting their first child.

This is the latest book in the author’s Wild Riders MC series and focuses on Badge, as he’s known in the Wild Riders MC, aka the Sheriff or just plain Calvin. He had always been lonely in the previous books, having to watch as the other MC members found their women but all that ended when, while out on patrol, he rounded a curve and saw, of all things, a barefoot, hitchhiking, bride.
Grace, the hitchhiking runaway bride, lived and worked at the resort on the other side of the mountain and realized on her wedding day that she didn’t love her fiancé and couldn’t marry him and ran away. Not sure why, since she had a car, she took off on foot but, whatever, she probably wouldn’t have met Calvin if she hadn’t.
Their personalities couldn’t have been more different; Calvin was burdened with responsibility, though most of it was what he took upon himself because of a loss in his past, and Grace was an adrenaline junkie. She was always pushing against the rules and taking unnecessary risks in order to feel alive—also because of the loss of a loved one. He feared for her safety because of her recklessness and she just wanted to push herself to her limits. The friction these two wildly differing personalities created threatened to crush their budding relationship before it even began; was there any way for them to be able to overcome their differences?
I was team Calvin the whole way, I couldn’t really relate to Grace, I thought she was too foolhardy and never displayed any sense of self preservation at all; I just couldn’t help but be impatient with her attitude. All in all, this one just wasn’t my cup of tea, 3.5 stars rounded up.

For Grace she now lives recklessly, as tomorrow may never come. Calvin lives by the rules and ensuring safety at all times, as he wants everyone to see tomorrow and a future. When Grace takes off from her wedding, to a man she met three weeks ago, she ends up walking the mountain road in a wedding dress and bare feet, with on where to go. Calvin in coming back and spots the woman walking dangerously along the road. Every protective instinct in him kicks in but Grace is a live-wire compared to him. Will these opposites, who also have a lot in common, find a middle ground that fits them.
I loved this story and the characters. It is another wonderful addition to a series by one of my favorite authors for short, OTT, sweet, spicy and smexy hot stories.

Sheriff Calvin picks up sky-diving instructor Grace who is hitchhiking and realises that she is a runaway bride. He wants nothing to do with her (famous last words), but I'm sure you can guess what happens. Grace and Calvin are very opposite characters, and slowly as their backstories are revealed, we see why that is so. Calvin is uptight and a stickler for rules and regulations, which is what makes him a good and well respected Sheriff. He thinks that it's impossible to fall in love at first sight (famous last words again). Grace is the kind to throw caution in the wind. While laughing in the face of death. Even her sister thought she was too much. I know some reviewers didn't like Grace and I can see why, she is probably a little too daring for most people's liking, but I thought it was fine to be a little dramatized for the story. Also, before meeting Calvin she probably didn't have much to really live for. Will Calvin be her anchor or will nothing contain her?
I loved the chemistry between the two characters, how the plot developed, the author's writing style, and overall enjoyed this book a lot. After reading this book I just HAD to read Knocked Up, which is about Grace's sister Hope. I highly recommend that too!

Another great book in this series. Not necessary to read from the start, but fills in with all the stories together.

There’s is a fiery attraction between the two right off. He takes her to the Wild Riders Motorcycle club of which he’s a member. Shes safe there because they’re all veterans. A place of healing and belonging. It’s a little community with a brewery a Resturant and other little shops ran by the members and their wives.
They come together but deffinatly has issues, each, to overcome. There is loss in their past they have to face. Can they do it together? And if so, will they have their happy everafter.

Calvin and Grace. Hes ex military a Wild Rider and Sheriff of this small town. She's a run a way bride. Hes lost love on this mountain and he doesn't want any part of another heartache. Shes reckless and he just might lose her too. Hes driving the mountain route with the cliff drop and winding roads and as hes coming around the sharp curve its not a car he sees but a woman walking closs to the cliff edge with her back to the traffic and when she hears me coming out goes the thumb without even a glance in my direction. and in a wedding dress. And barefoot....WTH.... When he stops and exits the car and stats to yell at her for being reckless his breath catches and he forgets how to breathe. He takes her to the clubhouse for lack of anywhere else and decides to take her on his shift instead of leaving her to flirt with the other guys...whats wrong with him. Thus starts their fiery relationship full of her pushing his buttons to madness. Loved this story.

What I didn’t- she gave up more than he did so they could be together, and he needed to surrender some of his uptight, controlling ways, frankly. If I think too hard on it, it bugs me, and I don’t really want to think too hard about a book this light.

These Wild Heart Mountain boys are really somthin! Calvin comes across all growly and cross, while Grace is totally carefree and oblivious. These two couldn't be more far apart on the caution spectrum, except where it comes to REALLY giving their hearts away. Yeah, Grace ran away from a shotgun wedding... key word is ran-away! Miss. Spontaneity couldn't go through with it. They each have reasons for why they live life how they do. Who am I to say if one is more right than the other (though I do have an opinion🤣). King made their connection sing off the pages, and the tension crackled between them like a roaring fire. Will they succumb to the heat, or remain steadfast in their grief?
This was one of my favorite Wild Rider's books in the series and I hope you enjoy it too. I received a gift copy and volunteered this review. Happy Reading Y'all 📚

Calvin is the sheriff of Wild Heart Mountain and has been for 6 years since he returned from military service. This is proving very different. He finds a woman walking on the side of the road dressed in a wedding gown. So he takes her to the savest place he knows...the Wild Riders MC HQ. It's a club for ex vets and he makes sure they keep it legit.
Grace left her wedding and family behind.
He finally gets her to call her family. Then just as he's leaving the clubhouse he sees one of the brothers talking to her. He goes back and tells her she is coming with him. He doesn't want to leave her there alone with the other brothers. He is real trouble. Will he want anything to do with Grace? Will he loosen up enough to claim what he wants?
Another great story in this series.

Wild Promises is Book 8 of the Wild Heart Mountain: Wild Rider's MC series. It's a short and steamy, instalust, instalove, age-gap, opposites-attract, grumpy-sunshine, curvy girl gets her sheriff biker romance. Grace is a 24 year old curvy free spirit and runaway bride. Calvin (Badge) is a 34 year old hunky, grumpy, serious, ex-military man, biker, and sheriff. When he comes across Grace hitchhiking in her wedding dress, he is both attracted to and infuriated by her careless nature. Grace is an adrenaline junkie and Calvin is a conservative protector. Both have experienced loss and grief but have coped differently. Can these two meet in the middle for love? Their chemistry was hot 🔥 hot 🔥 hot 🔥! I loved the snarky banter, and we got a very happy ending. I loved this couple so much.

This book made me giggle. Her blatant disrespect for her own safety probably gave Calvin many more grey hairs in just the first 24 hours that they were together, but they both compliment each other very well. She needs the protection and control that Calvin offers, and he needs help removing the stick from his ass and live a little, which Grace offers. He tones her down and she livens him up. It's a perfect match. This is one of the few stories of this series so far that I truly enjoyed. The engagement was still fast, especially after Grace just ran away from her wedding where she was only with the guy for only three weeks, but a five month engagement is one of the longest among the MC. This books is going in the right direction, so lets keep going up for the next one.

Grace was set to marry a guy she met recently and spent time together. However, when the day approached she just couldn't as she realized she didn't love him. She takes off as the proverbial runaway bride. She ends up on the other side of the mountain where Calvin tje local Sherriff sees her and takes her in. They hit it off and soon are falluming for each other despite the age difference and their characteristics being a little different. Will they survive or will this relationship fail as quickly as her last?.

Grace and Calvin, I adored them both. She's a thrill seeker and he's the local sheriff who also happens to be super protective of all those he comes across. Though when he sees Grace walking down the road, facing away from traffic and on a the steep drop of the roadside he goes ballistic. At the same time he gets that 'insta' shot to his heart.
Truly, this is a fantastic read - two people with different views on fun - she's the risk taker he's the careful type.
Passion, great humour, two great moments are when he says he has to re-alphabetize his CD collection, other is when she says she wants to be kissed like a grilled cheese sandwich not a salad.

I loved this story. Calvin is the sheriff and sees a hitchhiker on the road walking the wrong way. He of course picks her up and finds out he is in for the ride of his life. Grace is a wild woman, an adrenaline junkie. Calvin is focused, protective and worries about every little thing. Can these two compromise and find love? I loved this story, it’s a feel good story, fast paced read, has some great steam and a great read.

The reckless, runaway bride and the over protective sheriff. Opposites certainly attract with this couple. Each have their reasons for their behaviours and despite loss on each side, they have chosen to deal with it differently. I liked his nature, but at times found hers irritating ans self indulgent. It takes a severe dressing down,supported by her sister, for her to open her eyes to him being right.

Both Grace and Calvin have experienced loss but are dealing with it in different ways. Calvin has everything locked up tight, feelings, safety, his heart. Whilst Grace lives for the moment and takes reckless risks just to feel alive.
These opposites meet on his mountain top and immediately clash. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about their journey from loud arguments to bright passion. Another fabulous story from this author and can't wait to read about Grace's sister, Hope and her HEA.

Calvin and Grace couldn’t be more opposite. Calvin was the local Sheriff and because of his past, a worrier and more reserved. Grace on the other hand, was reckless and didn’t think of the consequences. When Calvin finds Grace in a wedding dress walking barefoot along a mountain road, he doesn’t know what to think. Both are attracted to each other but after one night together they wonder if they’re too different to have a lasting relationship. A cute fast paced read about finding ‘The One’ and making compromises. I received an ARC copy of this book.

I love the Wild Heart Mountain: Wild Rider's MC series. Calvin ( or Badge which is his road name for the Motorcycle club) is the sheriff for Wild Heart Mountain. He takes his job very seriously. Grace is carefree and spontaneous. They are complete opposites. This is a fast paced read. Hoping for more stories of some of the other bikers in the series.

I loved so many things about Calvin and Grace's love story—their meet-cute, their banter, their chemistry, and the golden retriever qualities that make up Calvin. But Grace was just—I don't know—there was just something about her. She is like the friend you have that you don't know why you are friends with her. You don't like her, but you don't hate her, so you're friends with her.
I wish there were something I liked about her that made me like this book more.

This is such a great opposites-attract novella. Calvin wants order in his life now that he is the sheriff, but Grace wants to be wild and drive him mad. Their connection is so good and their story is so interesting. the spiciness was so good. Also, I loved how we got to see the town flourishing after 8 books.

This was a great book! I really enjoyed Calvin and Grace together. These two are opposites but they are wonderful together. Both Calvin and Grace have some healing to do but thankfully they have each other. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to see what Sadie has in store for us next.

An emotional age gap OTT addition to the Wild Riders MC series. Calvin and Grace have both suffered loss. Calvin’s life as Sheriff revolves around the responsibility of keeping people safe. Life turns upside down when risk-taking Grace enters his life. Can love grow between two opposites? I loved their love journey and have a hankering for a grilled cheese.

A wonderful story, we follow Grace and Calvin, they meet each other when she walks away from her own wedding in her wedding dress, Calvin who is ex-military immediately has feelings for her, it takes a while of pushing and pushing what they do. He is very sweet and careful with her. They slowly grow closer and aim for a happy life together.
