This book is just what I have been looking for! I have started to embroider onto knit fabrics, but I’ve had to play it by ear because I hadn’t yet found a book that would deal with this very specific kind of embroidery. Both a tutorial and a reference book, it features over a dozen projects, a stitch dictionary, and even a library of templates. I’m excited!

Incredible!! Easy, even for beginners, instructions and illustrations of how to embroider botanicals like flowers and leaves on sweaters. These are simple patterns that anyone can create, but so cleverly designed that they seem magical. Includes extras such as using ribbon and tips on embroidering ribbons. But mostly, these are easy but lovely patterns using yarn on sweaters. I can’t wait to try them.

a very beautiful book, clearly written with love! the explanations were all very clear and thorough, and I especially appreciated the notes on what order to embroider things on, and the embroideries that had multiple different example photos to show how colours and supplies make a difference. I feel very inspired! and now I really want to dive into ribbon embroidery even though I know its way beyond my skill level!

This book is gorgeous with excellent directions and beautiful templates. I have embroidered a pair of mitts and they came out pretty well. My next project is to knit a moth on the back of a sweater. Gummlich gives lots of excellent advice, describing the materials she uses and why. This is not an inexpensive book but I love it.

I DEVOURED this beautiful book. It was just what I’ve been searching for for so long and now I need to go thrifting to buy all the sweaters so I can embroider them.
