The Wild Brothers #4

On the Wild Side

Rate this book
Beau Wild, the charming and carefree youngest brother of the Wild family, has always been more interested in chasing thrills and living in the moment than settling down.

But when a chance encounter at the annual Peach Springs festival leads to a passionate night with the beautiful and mysterious Talullah Waverly, Beau's shocked to wake up and find himself alone.

That hasn't happened before . . .

A year later, Beau is wilder than ever.
But when Talullah returns to Peach Springs, she's not alone.

Shocked to discover he's a father, Beau must navigate the challenges of parenthood while also coming to terms with his growing feelings for Talullah.

With the help of his tight-knit family and Talullah's unwavering support, Beau begins to embrace his new role as a dad and finds himself falling deeper in love with the woman who has turned his world upside down.

But as Beau and Talullah build a life together, they must confront the ghosts of their pasts and learn to trust in the strength of their love.

With meddling brothers, loyal best friends, and a whole town watching, Beau and Talullah's journey is full of laughter, tears, and plenty of those sweet, stolen moments you'd come to expect from a Megan Wade book.

"On the Wild Side" is the fourth book in the multi-author collaborative series, The Wild Brothers.

As with all Megan Wade books, this small-town, surprise baby romance comes with her 'Sugar Promise' -- high heat, low drama, guaranteed.

Ok

Safety and Spoilers

Safe. No ow/om drama
H is a big, big time player. He’s known as the town playboy and women discuss his antics on town chat groups. He has a ONS with h and feels connected to her in ways he never has before. She sneaks away next morning and he is devastated. He spends 6 months looking at social media for her but turns to his old ways when he can’t find her. He becomes a bigger player if that’s even possible. I really, really hate it when the H/h are with others after meeting, especially after being intimate with each other. He has a woman in his bed the morning he reconnects with the h.
h is of course a virgin. His reputation scared her and even more so after she looked into him/his reputation after she left town.
I’m tired of excusing bad behaviour because they have experienced some trauma. We all have issues and it doesn’t give us a pass to treat people poorly. He used women and treated them horribly. He was downright rude to the woman in his bed on the morning he reconnected with the h.
He did grow up when he reconnected with h and learnt he had a daughter. He stepped up and became a good father and partner. Everyone deserves a second chance but I’m just tired of reading the same horrible playboy trope.
At least he bought a new bed before he let the h back into it.
No cheating and no abuse.

"I'm a good time. I'm not a long time"

Wow! Don't those words come back to bite Beau in the ass that very same day!
Tallulah knocks Beau on his peach and leaves him wanting....something Beau has never experienced before. I love that when they finally reconnect Beau doesn't hesitate to throw himself all in, to prove to Tallulah that not only is he a changed man, but that he wants and needs to be there for her and Peach. He wants the good, the bad, the sweet, the frustrating, the sexy and the heartwarming, he wants it all and he wants it forever.
The baby of the Wild Brothers now has a baby of his own and he surprises not only his brother's, but also himself with how much he loves being a dad and just how good he is at it.
This is a lovely addition to the Wild Brothers series, I really enjoyed seeing the brothers all reconnect and realise that a peach orchard is not only the perfect place to grow peaches, but also to grow a family. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

Beau and Talullah met at the Peach Festival, he asks her to come to the dance to be his date. Talullah is only in Peach Springs looking at produce for her father. Beau gives her a bucket of peaches to take back with her. Talullah runs late to met Beau for the dance, they only dance to one song before they are headed back to the farm. Beau knows his brother Asher Wild Temptation is at the festival and he'll have the house to himself. Beau and Talullah have a one night stand and she sneaks out the next morning, she needs to get back on the road. When Beau wakes up he can't believe she left, he doesn't know her last name or anything about her. One year later, Talullah comes back to Peach Springs looking for produce. Beau is headed to the ceremony for his parent's dedication for the land that was donated in their name. Beau spots Talullah in the crowd and runs after her but doesn't catch up to her. Beau heads back to his brother Asher and tells him he needs the keys, his brother doesn't want to give them up since the ceremony will start soon. Beau is able to grab the keys from his brother Asher and runs to his brother's truck, then he takes off searching for Talullah. Beau knows there are only a few places she can be staying, Talullah opens her door to find Beau standing on the other side. Talullah invites him inside, Beau finds out that he's a father to a little girl. After Beau and Talullah talk for a while, he misses his parents ceremony. Beau asks Talullah to move in with him and his brother to the farm house. Beau tells Talullah he wants to take care of her and his daughter, Peach. When Beau gets back to the farmhouse Asher is waiting for him, he introduces his daughter to his brother. Beau takes Talullah and Peach to their rooms, and lets them get settled in. Beau knows he needs to step up and be a father to this little girl, and he wants to make Talullah his, he's been without her for a whole year and knows something is between them. Talullah tries to get Peach from fussing, Beau hears his daughter and offers to help. Beau asks Talullah if she'd like to go on a real date with her, he wants to make it work between them. Talullah agrees to go on a date with Beau, his brother Asher is going to watch Peach. When they get back from their date, the farmhouse is quiet. Beau and Talullah head upstairs to his bedroom, he pleasures her and they make love. Beau wakes up the next morning and Talullah is next to him, he realizes he wants to wake up every morning with her by his side. Beau tells Talullah he wants to do this forever, with her and Peach. Beau and Talullah take a stroll though town with all the chores done early, he tells her he's been thinking out their future, he wants lots of kids. When they begin to kiss in the middle of town, everyone around them is cheering. All of Beau's brother's come for a family dinner to met Talullah and their niece Peach. When Beau asks Talullah is she wants to spend the rest of her life on a peach farm she tells him she does. Beau then asks her if she marry him, he goes down on one knee. Talullah tells him yes she'll marry him. One year later, Talullah and Beau get married in the peach Orchard. Five years later, Beau and Talullah have a home of their own farmhouse almost the peach trees. Their daughter Peach is now six, they have a three year old son Beau Junior, BJ, Talullah is pregnant with their third child. Beau loves his life now with Talullah and his children. Beau is filled with peace and contentment he never knew was possible. This is Beau and Talullah happy ever after all these stories talk about.

3.5 stars novella

This is the first read for me in this series, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s a novella length quick read. At 165 pages, this is a fast paced novella that jumps pretty quickly from nothing to something as far as relationships go. It felt too quick to be believable to me, but I did believe they both wanted the same things.

It starts off with Talullah and Beau meeting and having one hot night together. Beau is the baby of his family, and Talullah is visiting from out of town. They meet at the Peach Festival on her last night in town. We see that Beau is the wild child, the playboy known for quick hookups (he admits to usually drunken quickies), but he seems adorably attracted to Talullah and unsure what to think about it. He has no idea he was her first until after they later reconnect, and when she sneaks out in the early morning and his brother tells her that girls sneaking out is a common thing for Beau, she leaves feeling “small” and less excited about their time together. But she leaves with the memories and a permanent reminder of their time together.

Then it fast forwards to a year later and right off the bat he’s waking up in bed with an empty bottle of whisky and a naked woman, and an angry brother who is tired of his crap. He’s far less adorable or endearing at this point. He took Tallulah’s V card the night they hooked up and of course she’s remained celibate ever since, while he’s found any and every willing wet hole, because that’s the only type of men that authors seem to write about. And women should always be celibate 🙄🙄

“The girl in my bed stirs again, mumbling something under her breath. I take a moment to glance her way, but I can't remember her name for the life of me. She's pretty enough, but she ain't Talullah. Damn, no one ever measures up to Talullah.”

Sorry dude. No one believes you’re pining after someone when you’re dipping your peen in anything willing to spread their legs for you 🙄.

It feels important to mention- because the author never brings it up again- that this scene happened literally hours before he reconnects with Talullah and discovers he has a child. And then follows that up with professing feelings for her and moving them in. I was a bit annoyed that it was not addressed tbh. At least he had the decency to put her in the guest room and not his dirty bed. He did at least tell his brother he needed to buy a new bed.

"I...I won't deny my past…I've made mistakes, a lot of them. But that night with you, Talullah...it wasn't just another notch for me." "I've never felt like that before. And I think…I think the fact we made a baby together proves that.”

Ummm… making a baby has ZERO to do with how you FEEL and everything to do with the fact that you had unprotected sex 🙄🙄 Sperm don’t care a bit about whether you like the person providing the egg. Looks like you should have paid more attention in sex education, my man. Also, let’s not forget you quite literally had a random woman in your bed just HOURS prior to this conversation, so let’s not talk about your “past” as if it’s not actually your PRESENT. Ughh. I think that was supposed to be cute, but it missed the mark for me.

Then about thirty seconds later they jump into having unprotected sex again. I wish I was making that up. The unprotected sex the first time was bad enough, but there’s absolutely zero excuse for it the second time. Not only did they already wind up with an unplanned pregnancy, but Beau has spent the past year whoring around (and apparently unprotected is his thing). That’s way too ick. Again- he quite literally JUST had a random woman in his bed hours prior. 😬🤢

::sigh::

Of course, once they decided to make things work, there are zero issues. No flings from his past (or even that morning 🙄) put up a fuss, not a single relationship struggle, her dad even up and moved his entire business since she was moving in with Beau and he wanted to be near his grandbaby. It was all very Hallmark or fairy tale-esque. I very much appreciated the lack of a third act break up, or forced fake conflict. But let’s be real here, poor Beau created enough fodder for conflict without it needing to be contrived. Overall, super low angst, no drama, small town, surprise baby, insta-love novella length read that felt a little bit irritating with the manwhoring (especially with it being brushed aside and ignored). The epilogues were a sweet treat though.

Beau and Talullah meet at Peach Spring's annual peach festival. They share an instant connection, and one great night, but she sneaks out before he wakes up in the morning, returning home, 2,000 miles away.
A year later, the peach festival is on again, and Beau can't help but relive the memories of that day the year before, one of the best of his life. It puts him in a mood even more foul than usual, knowing the moment slipped through his fingers, just like the girl he knows he'll never see again. Suddenly, he sees through the crowd someone who looks familiar. She has her back to him, but there's no mistaking her. He runs after her, calling her name, but she gets in her van and drives away. He can't let her go again.
By the time he gets going, she's long gone. But there's only a few places in town where she could be staying, so he searches them all until he finds her van at the motel. He's nervous as he knocks on the door, wondering if she'll even remember him. Then the door opens, and there she is. The woman he searched for for six months. The one who got away. The one whose memory haunts him. And she's just as beautiful as he remembers. Talullah.
But it's what she's holding in her arms that takes his breath away - a baby. His baby.
His world turns upside down in an instant. But can this bachelor and ladies man, the family screw up, finally grow up and be the man that Talullah and their baby need?
This was a really good read. Beau is the youngest in his family, and he's always felt like a burden after their parents died. We get to see him trying to change his ways, reconnect with his brothers, and take responsibility for his new family, and he's really sweet with the effort he puts in. Talullah isn't too sure at first, considering Beau's reputation, but she soon begins to trust him, and together they forge a way forward.
I was a little sorry when this one was over, but I definitely can't wait to read about the rest of the Wild brothers!

Beau Wild is the youngest of the six Wild brothers. He was only 8 years old when their parents died 19 years ago. He has always felt like a burden to his brothers and has no real memories of his parents. He is manning the family peach stand at the Peach Springs annual peach festival. He sees a beautiful woman struggling to carry a heavy box of produce to her van. Beau helps her and gets her to meet him at the dance that night.

Talullah Waverly is on a business trip in Peach Springs. She works for her father. Her best friend Tessa tagged along to scout new ingredients and ideas for her bakery. Tessa and her four sisters run Sisters’ Sweets back in their hometown of Annapolis. Tessa encourages Talullah to go enjoy the dance with Beau and have some fun. The sparks fly between Beau and Tully during their first dance. They end up at the Wild family farmhouse and have a great night. Tully sneaks out before dawn and heads home with Tessa.

Beau searched for Talullah online because something felt different about their night together and he couldn’t get her out of his mind. He couldn’t find her online and was miserable. A year later, during the peach festival, the brothers are dedicating a park in their parents’ names to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their deaths. An hour before the dedication, Beau spots Talullah in the crowd and chases after her. He steals his brother’s truck keys and finds her van at the local motel. When Tully opens the door, Beau is stunned by what he sees.

Loved Beau and Tully’s story and I am loving the Wild Brothers series. Each brother has struggled with their parents’ death and dealt with it in their own way.

I love that Beau has such an instant connection with Tullalah. I love that he misses her. He feels so broken inside and like he is such a burden and he misses so much of the family feeling. These emotions drive him to being such a player. I love that he falls for Peach immediately. I love the family dynamic even though each brother has his own kind of brokenness inside. I love that Tullalah decides to take a chance and then another. She seems sweet, kind, caring and determined to give Peach the things she missed. Theirs is an emotional story with great chemistry and family bonds. The writing is good, but there were a couple of places I got lost on who was doing what, like one sentence he was holding the baby and two sentences later she adjusted the baby in her arms, I think, but there was no mention of them trading. That sort of thing. It wasn't a constant thing and si didn't really take me out of the story.

The Wild side of life

On the Wild Side by Megan Wade is part of the multi-author The Wild Brothers series. This is a second chance and secret baby romance between Talullah Waverly and Beau Wild. It all started one wild night with toe curling passion between them. Beau is the youngest sibling and does not take life seriously. He has feelings of not being included or needed, which has hit his self-worth. Talullah is a beautiful young woman who ends up with more than a memory after her night with the Wild child. When Talullah comes back it will mean that Beau's life is upended and he has to figure out how to "grow up" and become the man that is needed.
This was a sweet and moving story that pulls at your emotions, not lying when I say I used a couple tissues and also wanted to kick some butt. As always the author has written a story that is amusing, engaging, sexy hot, passionate, emotional, and keeps you attention. I loved the characters and the way they are revealed. Overall this was a wonderful story and a great addition to the Wild family.

Megan introduces us to Beau Wild in her installment for the Wild Brothers series.
Beau's the "baby" of the family, brought up by his older brothers, he lives his life how he wants and ensures his lady friends know it's a good time not a long time. That all changes though at the annual peach festival and he lays his eyes on Talullah. She's not a one and done, he feels that as soon as they connect, but she didn't hang about and when he wakes in the morning she's gone.
Fast forward a year later, at the same peach festival where Beau had his life changed once, it's going to happen again and in a more permanent way.

If you enjoy spice, virgin, curvy female leads, surprise child, dual pov writing, no cheating, mild angst, instalove, instaromance, pure love, standalone read within a series, interlinking characters, HEAs you'll enjoy this.

Beau is the youngest of his brothers and since his parents death, he has felt alone, and abandoned by some of his brothers, so he drinks and sows his oats, like they used to say in olden times. He was the only one to stay and work the peach farm with his brother, Asher. He meets Tallulah at the Peach festival while she was looking for things to help Tessa and Tessa’s four sisters with their bakery back in Annapolis. Tallulah and Beau hit it off and they have a glorious night before she and Tessa go back home. A year later, she returns with a little surprise for Beau. There are some misunderstandings that need to be addressed.

This book has a nice roller coaster of emotions- laughing, wanting to yell at the characters, it’s hot and steamy and cute. I can’t wait to read the last two books in the series.

Beau Wild

Wild by name and wildest by nature, Beau is always on the go looking for his next adventure.
Talulluh just might be his biggest adventure ever. When she disappears after one night together only to return a year later with a baby, Beau’s life is set to change.
I loved how he turns his life around completely when he reconnects with Talullah and proves his feelings.
A sweet, steamy, romantic and emotional story, with interesting characters, a wonderful family, and a beautiful HEA.
(I will mention though that while there’s no actual cheating, Beau did return to his playboy ways after his night with Talullah. He looked for her for 6 months but then was wilder than ever. I’m not exactly sure how I feel about that, as a whole I loved the story but that just stung a little 🤔.)
I’m looking forward to the next Wild brother romance.

This book is part of the multi-author The Wild Brothers series featuring Beau and Tallulah's sweet and steamy one-night stand, small-town, surprise pregnancy romance. Beau is the baby of the Wild brothers the charming carefree playboy who's not looking to settle down. Until he gets bowled over by Tallulah when he meets her at the Peach Springs festival and they spend a passionate evening together. Then to Beau's complete shock he wakes up alone which upsets him causing him to lash out and become even more of a player. When Tallulah comes back a year later she doesn't come alone she brings his daughter Peach with her. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this sweet and steamy one-night stand, small-town, surprise pregnancy romance to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

I really liked Tallulah & Beau's story it was sweet from the start from the minute he saw her at the festival & it had me glued. Having always been the playboy he knew from the very first time he spoke to her that she was special & she felt the same spark but beliviit was a one night only Tallulah left the next day without telling him.
When she returned to the peach festival the following year she didn't expect to see him or remember her especially after she'd looked him up online & knew his playboy ways but when he saw her she ran again.
Although Beau was supposed to be at the special announcement the minute he caught a glimpse of her he had to go after her much to the annoyance of his brothers but when he found her there was a unexpected find.
This story has sass, sweetness, steam, unexpected surprised & a but emotional at times & definitely recommend reading it.

Beau is the youngest of the Wild siblings and has always led a carefree life. He has been with plenty of woman but never exclusively. He is knocked for a loop when he meets Talullah, she is in town for the Peach festival. They spend an unforgettable night together, but she is gone when he wakes. There never exchanged any information with each other, so tracking her down is impossible. One year later, she shows up with their three month old daughter, Peach.

Is he ready to be a father? He is not sure, but he cannot let Talullah and his little girl walk out of his life. This is his chance to prove himself to the one woman he never forgot about.

I loved this pair, they are exactly what each other needed.

My Goodness

I don’t know if there’s something wrong with me or what, but no books have ever made me as emotional as this series has, and Beau and Tallulah’s story is no different.

If I’m telling the truth, I’m not much for a Virgin trope OR a surprise baby, but this book blew that out of the water. This story was so sweet, so heartfelt that I no longer know why I usually shy away from those things.

Not only can you feel the emotion between the two characters, but the emotion and challenges that the Wild brothers have faced without their parents… you feel like you know them. Like they’re real people in your everyday life.

Watching or reading, I suppose, Beau grow into the man those around him have always known he could be was something truly special. This was a beautiful, heartfelt, fast read and I cannot wait to read the last two brothers’ stories!

Megan Wade joins my favourite current multi-author series, The Wild Brothers, with Beau's story, On the Wild Side. Beau Wild is known around the his small Georgia hometown as a playboy. The youngest of five boys who lost their parents two decades ago, he's reckless and wild - until he meets Tallulah at the annual Peach Festival. One night of passion changes everything for both of them. She left for home in Annapolis the next morning, but neither was able to forget about their night together, and when she returns to the festival a year later, it is with a baby daughter in tow. Will the wild Wild brother end his crazy ways when he discovers he has a family with the one who got away? Swoony and steamy, and the epitome of Megan Wade's sugar promise, On the Wild Side is an absolute must-read.

I love this series, but I relate to Beau story more than the others.

Beau is the youngest of the Wild brothers and is thought to be the wildest one who does not take life seriously. Talullah was at the peach festival looking for produce for her father when she meets Beau. They have an unexpected night.

Year later, Talullah returns with a surprise and even more surprise to realize Beau had been looking for her.

Beau and Talullah's story is a sweet story and one that warms your heart as you watch Beau open his heart not only to Talullah but to their daughter, but also you see Beau grow into the man he is supposed to be.

Beau owned a peach farm. He works a peach stand at the festival when he first spots Talullah. Talullah is a bigger girl so she finds it hard to believe that such a good looking man would flirt when th her and then ask her to the dance. But Beau does exactly that and can’t wait to see her again that evening.
They spend the night together and then part ways. A year later at the same dance, Talullah goes to find Beau to let him know that he is a father! At first, he is in shock but he comes to realize that he does want a family of his own.
This book was touching and amazing! There is some steam but I like my books like that! Megan did a fantastic job with this book!.

I loved On the Wild Side: a small-town surprise baby romance Book 4 of The Wild Brothers. This book had it all. Lots of tears and steamy scenes. Beau had always been the screw up baby brother but meeting Talullah changed his life. Unfortunately, he lost her after one night but a year later she’s back and he has a daughter. Now he needs to step up and be the dad she needs, but mostly he needs to be the man that Talullah deserves. Talullah wasn’t sure what would Haley when she found Beau again but she is so happy it wasn’t what she expected. I loved the storyline and the characters. These Wild brothers are amazing. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

Although this book is part of a six-book series about the Wild brothers, each book reads as a standalone and I have only read one other, but I will go back and read the rest. This series is available on Kindle Unlimited so I can read them all for free. This is Beau, the youngest and the playboy Wild brother, and Tallulah, the love of his life. They have a hot and very memorable night together after the annual "Peach Festival", and a year later, Tallulah shows up with a baby named Peach. Beau is thrilled and determined to be the man and the father they both deserve. Interesting characters, well-paced storyline, sizzle, steam, this book has it all and the HEA.

Beau is known around his town as a player and he's okay with that. He meets and has a one night stand with Tallulah and for some reason he feels that she might be different. But after their one night she ghosts him (with good reason, honestly). Beau spends a long time looking for her, but it also doesn't stop him from continuing to be a player. When they reconnect, he wants to change, but Tallulah is understandably reluctant.

Reading how this girl brings the certifiable player to his knees is so cute!! I wanted to laugh a number of times at his frustration -- like dude, you did it to yourself!! Tallulah wants more for herself and she deserves it. She makes it clear that there's no second for her and she makes him stick to it.

What should have been a one night stand leads to so much more in this story. Showing up a year later Tallulah has a surprise for Beau, a 3 month old baby girl. I loved how Beau instantly took to fatherhood and how he instantly grew up and became the man that he needed to be. At the same time there was healing that occurred between him and his brothers. This was a very heart-warming story that tugged a bit at my heartstrings and might have caused me to tear up in a few places. It still has plenty of steaminess too, so if that's what you're looking for you won't be disappointed.

As the youngest Wild brother, Beau has alway felt like a burden to his brothers since they had to raise him after their parents’ death. For so long, he’s been angry, and lost, feeling like he’s missing something, yet never quite knowing what he’s searching for. Meeting Tallulah settles him like nothing else has. This Wild brother just needed to meet the other half of his soul

Megan outdid herself with this one. Very beautifully written and, touching complete with a surprise baby and some sizzling chemistry.

She has a baby and Beau finding out he is a daddy now has to man up! Beau is broken in so many ways, after the loss of his parents he is raised by his older brothers and became the Wild one in the bunch and always thought of himself of a burden and not worthy of love, But after meeting Tully and finding out he is a dad he now knows that is not true...

Womanizer/party boy Beau is hung up on Talullah after the few hours they spend together one night. A year later, she is back in town with a big surprise. Talullah has basically run scared from Beau. I like seeing so much of his thoughts. He relationship with his brothers is not the best and I really was sad at their reactions to him. And I felt so bad that he always felt he never had choices like they did. Talullah and Peach be out the best in Beau. Him finally talking to his brothers helps the family as well.

WOW this is the perfect romantic read. I was swooning while reading this story. When Beau meets Talullah he doesn't know what hit him. But his usual one night stand is not what he wanted with her even though that's what he got. A year later he sees her and realizes he's a daddy. And when Beau mans up he mans up! I loved this story, so hot and steamy but so romantic too. Loved how Beau grew up and how Talullah was there with him all the way. I'm loving this multi author series, best series ever.

Excellent...Sweet, Steamy and Romantic story that focuses on the main characters without the "ex-drama" just like I prefer and enjoy the most about this genre! Both characters are very likeable, the brothers can be serious and they can be comical, it was interesting and emotional to get to know them. Peach Springs seems like a great small town to visit and/or live and the description of those peaches had me craving them, lol. Beau is our gorgeous muscular MMC. He will tell anyone, “I’m a good time, I’m not a long time”…
Which is all the more shocking when he meets Talullah Waverly, our beautiful and innocent MFC, at the farmers peach market and falls for her.
Hes devastated that after the most memorable night of his life, she disappears. A year later he sees her again..with a little surprise.
This is a book of learning and growing. Wanting to be more than you are. And the family that gave Beau the power to do that.

This book is so good and it will definitely have you hooked from the beginning until the end. It's a fast read and insta love story with all the right feels and so much more. Beau is a playboy and lives on the family peach farm with his brother but Beau is on a path to destruction with booze and women but when he meets Tallulah will she be the one to change him or will he break her heart? I throughly enjoyed this story.
