Claudia and Beau got off on the wrong foot five years ago, but Beau feels drawn to her and wants her to see him as he really is. Claudia slowly warms up to him as he proves himself in various ways, featuring loose pigs, sinking boats, and family campfires. But with each of them committed to their families, how can they have a future together? As you can expect from Jessie Gussman, this book has great discussions about handling grief, the importance of family, living a pure life and making wise decisions, all from a Biblical perspective.
This is an HEA and a standalone, although it is part of a series, and best enjoyed in order. I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion.

A Cowboy's Heart of Gold is a Christian, heartwarming, enemies to more, romance. This well written book is about faith, trust, love, forgiveness, small town gossip - and piglets! Claudia and Beau spend five years at odds, then he helps her capture the escaped piglets, joins her community ensemble and recruits friends and family to do the same. I loved watching them seek God’s wisdom and will on their way to their HEA. I devoured the book in one sitting!

Claudia and Beau have been rubbing each other up the wrong way for ages but really they are attracted to each other and now they don't know how to get out of the situation they find themselves in, so the matchmakers set them up! Will it work? Can they overcome their differences?

Another good read from Jessie

This is a sweet and clean Christian romance. This is part of a series but can be read as a stand-alone.

Claudia enjoys music and is one of 12 siblings on a ranch. She has had a love/hate relationship with Beau, a neighbor in Sweet Water. They got off on the wrong foot and continue to verbally spar every time they meet. What she doesn’t realize is that he has had a crush on her since the beginning. How can he change her mind to see him in a different light?

Great book with good characters. Because I don’t like to put Jessie’s books down, I read through these quickly. I love the references to the bible and always learn new things. I am enjoying this series and can’t wait for books on the rest of the family. I received this ARC from the author and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Beau and Claudia’s story is a charming enemies to lovers romance. It highlights forgiveness, letting go of past hurts, giving grace and opening one’s heart and mind to new possibilities. When Beau and Claudia met over five years ago, she literally bowled him over. Their exchange was discordant, tense and rather unfriendly. Unfortunately, ever since then they tend to exchange insults or sarcasm rather than niceties or friendly conversation when then encounter each other. Frequently, Claudia chooses to do her best to avoid him, having no idea that Beau would like to change things between them.

The great piglet escape is a catalyst to changing their behaviour toward each other. Both finally are brave enough to offer an apology to the other and suggest a cease fire from the usual animosity between them. It seems that deep down, both do not dislike the other at all. Without the insults and animosity, they see each other in a different, kinder light. When Claudia tries to put together a music ensemble to serve and entertain their community, Beau not only supports her behind the scenes, he also joins the ensemble. Beau has asked God for guidance and believes that Claudia and he are meant to be together. His past immature behaviour may well cast a shadow on his attempts to at least form a friendship with Claudia, though he does hope that friendship will become something more eventually.

As their story unfolds, time spent in each other’s company shows them both that they have much in common, share many of the same values, and have deep family loyalties and ties. Their faith gives them both comfort and guidance, as well as a foundation upon which to build the relationship they want together. Their story is filled with wonderful moments of discovery, words of wisdom and illustrations of faith.

I highly recommend this insightful and inspiring book to all those who value sweet, clean romances.

I really enjoyed this enemies to lovers romance. I liked the emphasis on making choices and then acting regardless of feelings. Maybe that’s a bit heavy handed for what actually went on, but it’s true. You can choose to react emotionally - dramatically - or you can actually think and use more information - from other people - than your own feelings. The biggest draw for me with Gussman’s books is their lessons on life and marriage - specifically their Biblically based lessons. Are there any other lessons that actually matter? I love how her books challenge my faith and actions. They edify my life and marriage. And now? After being with her for years, I’m so thrilled when I read parts that resonate with me wholeheartedly as something that I have in my marriage or life. I feel such confirmation and like God is smiling down on me and acknowledging that, maybe for this small sliver of life/marriage, I got it right. A small thing where people talk about your “first date” and such and I always had trouble because my husband and I basically lived life together and didn’t do much of the traditional “dinner and a movie” or other events. I remember sitting in the bleachers while he did his ice arena work. I joined him working extra hours for free at Walmart after my shift was over. And now, looking back, with an outside perspective, I see how beneficial it was that we got to know each other through real life rather than simply set apart “fun times.” Now, that’s just one small, personal example, but it was a heartwarming piece of confirmation God allowed me. I’m really enjoying this series (I know, I say it all the time) and I really am excited to see what is up with the other kids! Man. 12 kids. I can’t imagine that. Truly.

I received an ARC of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

In A Cowboy’s Heart of Gold by Jessie Gussman, Beau Hanson likes Claudia Claybourn However, at their first meeting, she misunderstands his teasing for insults and retaliates. Thus, begins years of contentious confrontations. The book is book four in a series centered around the lives of 12 siblings trying to make their ranch profitable. But it could be read as a standalone. Although why anyone would want to only read one Jessie Gussman is beyond me?

When Claudia and Beau realize they’ve been miscommunicating, they become friends. Beau wants more, but Claudia is afraid of more because she’s still controlled by the grief over the loss of her parents. Ten years ago. Still, they have a lot in common and share some great experiences that are great fun to read. Both of them have strong bonds with their families. I enjoyed meeting up with Beau’s father, Ford Hanson (from The Cowboy’s Beauty) again, and the father son conversation between them. I was tickled by quiet Tobias as Beau’s go between for getting Beau to where he can be with Claudia. Both Claudia and Beau put their trust in God and seek His guidance and wisdom in their future.

I always benefit from reading one of Jessie’s books. In this one I learned a lot about forgiveness. About how forgiveness makes room in a person’s heart for friendship. About how forgiveness draws a person closer to God, the author of forgiveness. About how forgiveness changes everything.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes to read clean, sweet romances loaded with humor. I was honored to receive an advance copy of this book from the author. This review is entirely my opinion.

The Cowboy's Heart of Gold is a enemies to lover's relationship between Beau and Claudia. Beau knew how to push every button that Claudia had and did it every time they ran into each other. Beau really wanted to see if he could be nice to Claudia as he really liked her spunk. And Claudia seemed to like Beau but he just made her so mad. They called a truce and she was just waiting for him to pull the rug out from under her when she finds out from his cousin that he had made a bet with Beau about getting her to like him. Beau has to tell Claudia they did make a bet but that was a long time ago and now he was trying to be nice to her. Beau was falling for Claudia and she could fall for him if he was just not so mean.

Claudia works on the Dude Ranch her family runs while Beau works on his parent's ranch that he will be taking over. They have to make a decision as to what they are going to do as there is not enough hours in the day to run both ranches. They also agree that they cannot continue to work separately if they want to be together. Claudia surprised Beau when she told him she has discussed it with her family. Will Claudia get married and go work on Beau's ranch, or will she need to stay and help with the Dude Ranch they have worked so hard to get started? The decision will forever effect her and Beau's life.

I loved this enemies to lovers romance for Beau and Claudia. The characters are people I would enjoy being around. I like the way they are considerate around each other and willing to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. The beginning of the story was hilarious when eight piglets escaped the trailer that Claudia was transporting them in and ended up in downtown Sweetwater, ND. Nina, the daughter of a friend of Claudia's who was staying with her for the summer, was having fun catching the wiggling bundles. When Beau happened to show up, he did more harm then good in trying to help. When Bo showed up for the ensemble practice that Claudia was starting up, their relationship started to change for the better. The incident with the canoe sinking in the lake on a cold morning seemed to be the clincher in their relationship. I loved the way God was working in Claudia's life. She always loved horses but they weren't cost effective enough to have on her family's ranch. It just seemed fitting that she became involved with a guy who would some day own his Dad's ranch that raised and trained horses. I highly recommend this book as a clean Christian romance and be sure to listen to the wonderful audiobook narrated by Jay Dyess. This is my voluntary and honest review.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This book is a good one but for some reason it just took me some time for it to fully grasp my attention. It is a Christian romance. It isn't as "preachy" as the first two but I just couldn't get into it. That being said, someone else may connect better to the story and characters than I did. I give it 3.5 stars but rounded up to a 4 as I'm sure the problem is me and not the story.

This is told in basically a dual POV format. There are some places told in other POVs but the majority is just the main 2 protagonists. This is a favorite of mine. Getting into the characters' thoughts during a scene can really help me to better understand and connect with the characters so much better.

These are two wonderful characters that got off on the wrong foot at their first meeting. They have been in a love-hate relationship for some time. They love to hate each other. Strong words for the two of them.

Can two people who love to rub each other the wrong way, come full circle? Can trust be built on shaky ground?

Claudia and Beau start off on the wrong foot when they first met. 5 years later, while Claudia is hauling a truckload of piglets back to the family ranch, the piglets somehow get loose in the middle of town. Beau comes to her rescue, though Claudia is embarrassed and reluctant to accept his help. He helps capture the piglets and closes up the tailgate, but on the way home, the piglets escape from the truck again. Claudia blames Beau.
Beau has hidden feelings for Claudia, looks for ways to get closer to her and overcome their discord. His tenderness and caring are heartwarming as well as the love and support of family. Can Beau win Claudia's heart? A sweet and clean story of forgiveness and love as well as small-town gossip. I highly recommend "A Cowboy's Heart of Gold" as well as all the books in this series.
I received a complimentary ARC of this book and have voluntarily given my honest opinion in this review.

Both were too busy to date. Plus, they didn’t even like each other.
A fun, enemies to lovers story that also looks at the busyness of life. Claudia was deeply involved in making the family ranch successful. She had no time for anything else, especially Beau. Since the first time they had crossed paths, they had bickered. Beau knew they had started off badly but felt like he wanted a do-over with the interesting, attractive woman. So with apologies at the ready and his French Horn in hand, he set off to support Claudia in the one activity she would allow herself outside of the ranch, a musical ensemble. But will it be enough? And can two people so involved in their own ranches figure out how to grow a friendship let alone a relationship. Please note this book is a Christian themed novel and has doctrinal discussion. I received an early copy and this is my honest review.

Back at the Sweet View Ranch, the Clyborne’s are getting ready for their first dude ranch guests. Claudia Clyborne is sent on an errand to pick up 8 piglets for the ranch. When the trailer opens and the piglets escape in the middle of town, Beau Hanson comes to the rescue. The only problem is that Claudia has never seen eye to eye with Beau due to a mishap that happened many years ago and she doesn’t completely believe that everything that has happened with the piglets is no fault of Beau’s. Beau has had a crush on Claudia since that first encounter. When Beau discovers that Claudia is trying to start a musical ensemble, he shows up with his French Horn that he played in high school. Beau continues to find ways to finagle himself into Claudia’s life. Can he prove himself to her? Will they be able to overcome their differences?

Beau and Claudia have had a very rocky relationship since they met five years ago. Every time they see each other, they sling insults at one another. When Claudia loses 8 piglets from the back of a trailer on Main Street in Sweet Water, Beau stops his truck right in the middle of the street. She wonders if he is there to mock her and ridicule her again, but instead, he helps her round up the piglets. I love the inspiring message of this story to not judge others. Both Beau and Claudia are Christians but they have not treated each other kindly as Christians should. Beau truly has a heart of gold and Claudia is hard working and loves to help her family with their farm and the community with her music degree. A wonderful, inspirational tale!

Claudia and Beau's relationship is a typical enemy's to lovers troupe with Jessie Gussman's flare (so there's nothing typical about it). I love all of the shenanigans that the 12 siblings find themselves in. Also, Claudia took in one of her friend's child for the summer. That's something Jessie Gussman would do. One completely touching part had to do with Claudia's aging dog. Having recently lost my cat, I could relate. It was beautiful how Beau supported her through that. I also loved that Claudia was starting an instrumental musical group, and how much Beau was there to support her. I used to lead a choir, and could relate with that as well. I loved that Beau's ranch was something that Claudia was passionate about. There are so many fun / funny things that occur in this book, from catching loose piglets to hilarious book titles (try reading them aloud).

It’s always when you are doing something embarrassing like chasing piglets around that you run into the person you hate. And that is exactly when Claudia runs into Beau, a handsome cowboy who always teases her too much. Beau can’t help himself and she always seems to do something annoying. So, these two enemies are soon thrown together with the help of her brother Tobias, and because Beau secretly likes her.

As always, Jessie Gussman weaves a funny and romantic enemies-to-lovers story filled with plenty of God’s grace and forgiveness. Claudia has to learn how to trust someone and what it means to behave like a Christian to even someone she considers her enemy. This novel was a quick and fun read with some tender moments and lots of Godly wisdom.

This is a wonderful story and I am enjoying this Clyborne family as each one of them works together on their Sweetview Ranch. Their parents died years before in an accident and they have stayed close living and working together. Now some of them had found their match and this story is about one of the sisters, Claudia.

These two had gotten off to a bad start the first time they had met. Years later they still cannot stop make remarks to each other every time they meet. Beau Hanson, the son of Ford and Morgan Hanson regrets the many cutting remarks he has made to Claudia Clyborne. He would really like to become her friend but he cannot figure out how to get a fresh start with her. When he finds out she is starting an orchestra in Sweet Water and is in need of funds to purchase the music, he decides to become her anonymous benefactor. He also decides to join the orchestra with his French Horn.

Claudia Clyborne feels drawn to Beau Hanson and regrets all of the harsh remarks she has given him. When he helps her recapture a load of piglets that escaped from the back of her truck, she is thankful but then she accuses him of letting them out a second time. She knows she needs to ask his forgiveness and is surprised when he wants to start their relationship over.

As Claudia and Beau start to get closer they will face some decisions since both of them live on different ranches that need their assistance. Will they have a future together and where would they live?

I received a copy of this book from the author and this is my honest unbiased review.

Claudia and Beau got off on the wrong foot for sure. They just seemed to have trouble getting things turned around. They're both Christians so they both know the way their acting toward one another is wrong. One day something just changed all that. I think Ms. Gussman hit it square on the head of the nail when she talked about trust when you're alone after a parent has died or even after a divorce. It makes you skittish about wanting to be in a relationship and keeps you wondering if they will leave too.

This is a wonderful book one I would be glad to read many times and share with others,

To all watching they appeared to be enemies but deep down they each wondered why they had the impulse to verbally attack each other every time they passed each other when all they. both wanted was to at least be friends and to stop the negative banter. Beau and Claudia each wondered if that would ever happen and then it did.. You will love this story and if you read any of the other books in this series you will remember a few encounters they had with each other. So yes they go from enemies to maybe friend, to friends and finally to the realization of what true and deep feelings they have for one another. I highly recommend this book another top shelf story written by author Jessie Gussman.

The story of Beau and Claudia starts with them fighting. No matter what happens, it seems that they always end of verbal sparring, yet they think the other is attractive. The story begins with Claudia picking up some little piglets who escape from the truck and guess who happens through town to help her? Beau. This is a very funny episode about what happens while trying to rescue the piglets. The entire story is very sweet and speaks of forgiveness, miscommunications, and wrongful assumptions as they try to live their life and Claudia starts an orchestra in town. This is a great continuation of the Sweet View Ranch series, but can certainly be read as a standalone. I thoroughly enjoyed this book!

Major misunderstanding led to 5 years of snarky behavior between them when everyone else got along with each of them. What will happen when her load of piglets escapes the trailer all over town and he comes along. Will he help or make fun of her again? Loved watching them get advice from trusted family members, following God’s path, learning to trust each other and God and learning to know each other. Communication was key to all they learned and Ms. Gussman delivers an inspirational message in a way that doesn’t tell anyone what to do. No lectures. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

Received an ARC and this is my honest, unsolicited review.

If there was ever two antagonists like Beau and Claudia, I can’t recall. You have done a terrific job of showing the feisty side of Claudia and how it just seems to fuel every time they are near each other. There is lots of laughter as you build the intensity of a possible budding relationship, if they. Outdoor stop trying to “one-up each other given lots of time and some not so good occasions, it doesn’t look like they will ever take a liking to each other. Like all of your stories, this one has a sweet ending. Beautiful job. (I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.)

This next book in the Sweet View Ranch series is the sweet story of Claudia and Beau, who have been antogonistic towards each other for years. The got off on the wrong foot, but as they get to know each other become more and more aware of their attraction.
As in previous books there are precious lessons to learn for both the characters and us readers. Lessons about life and lessons about God. Which I love!
In contrast to previous books in this serie there're less crazy events and more things that could just happen to anyone of us. (Although Miss Rhonda and Miss Bernadine are in for some mischief). Still the story never gets boring. Four stars for this new book from Jessie Gussman.

'A Cowboy's Heart of Gold' was entertaining. It began like a funny scene involving the Keystone cops with piglets galore running amuck. Moreover, the plot was filled with hilarity, teasing gone awry, losing a loved one, family allegiance, spirituality, a music ensemble, coming to terms with an Alzheimer's patient, a near-tragic boating incident, and love. Claudia and Beau, the protagonists, were ideally suited for each other and oozed chemistry. I kept rooting for them.
Furthermore, I loved the way the author wrote the storyline. It was compelling. Overall, I liked the delightful narrative.

I’ve loved every Jessie Gussman book I’ve read. I really enjoyed this one as well. It’s an enemies to lovers story which was hinted at in the previous book. I loved getting to know Claudia better as well as Ford & Morgan Hansen’s son Beau. I loved Ford & Morgan’s story way back a few series ago and it was so neat to see them again but now with grown children as their son got his HEA.

Jessie creates amazing characters and does a great job of drawing you into their head. You really get to know them as you hear their thoughts, both the good and the bad. This is what makes it so exciting to see a character from a past story reappear.

The development of the Beau and Claudia's relationship from enemies to friends was fun to read. Really enjoyed Beau's mindset pursuing her persistently and patiently and seeking his dad's advice. Lots of Godly wisdom interspersed in a sweet and tender romance with a large family life setting on a dude ranch / working cattle ranch, and a little music thrown in the mix - what more could one want when reading?
A wonderful read, standalone but more enjoyable read in series order. As always with this author clean, sweet romance (no blushing required) that honours God.

An enemies to lovers romance

Claudia and Beau have been enemies since they first met years ago. Beau would like to change that but getting a new start with her is difficult. Claudia doesn't trust him. An incident with escaping piglets seems like something he would do to antagonize her, but for a minute, she thought he was being truly helpful.

Jessie Gussman books always give me something to think about. They make me reexamine my attitudes and my faith. Claudia and Beau can have a friendship and maybe more if they can forgive and forget. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.

Book 4 in the Sweet View Ranch series is Claudia's and Beau's story. It's a sweet, clean read with life lessons about faith, trust, perseverance, love, and forgiveness. You'll need some tissues for this one, too. Jessie doesn't always write the sad bits into her stories, but when she does they grab you. This one definitely did! Despite the sad part, Claudia and Beau eventually get their HEA -- after dealing with multiple misunderstandings, run-away piglets, a precocious preteen, the startup of Claudia's community musical ensemble (Beau joins with his French horn), and the first guests at Sweet View Ranch. I loved everything about this story!

A thorn in her flesh, Claudia’s nemesis, Beau, only seemed capable of insults, not the most “Welcome to Sweet Water” introduction and certainly not anyone she cared to run into on a consistent basis. So keeping herself busy, along with her eleven siblings, running a dude ranch helped to lessen interaction so why was she beginning to feel an attraction? And why was he working so hard to be pleasant? Just what did God have in mind, knowing each was needed on their respective ranches? A story of the intervention of God in the frailty of human life, a story to hold the attention of the reader beginning to end!
