This is another awesome read from the fabulous mind of Harley Wylde, this is also the 19th book in the Dixie Reapers MC.

This one starts off slow with Joker in prison, he connects with Cleo via a pen pal initiative, he marries her and once he’s out they reconnect, this one has all the feels as Cleo is in a bad place and needs to get away from her family.

Several years pass and we reconnect with Joker once he has been released from prison and Cleo and she has her reasons and they are revealed in the book I won’t spoil but you should read this one. Harley is seamlessly able to blend action, romance and emotion into this most compelling story!

Phenomenal read…. Had me from the start

I absolutely love it. Both main characters have strengths and weaknesses which makes them “real”. The story sucks you in. Completely had me hooked because I couldn’t put it down. Joker and Cleo are an unexpected combination that works well together. Things are coming from all sides and the love, action, energy, and emotion is the entire package.
I am sooo looking forward to see what happens with Ares! I instantly fell in love with Caspian too.

Joker aka Travis has been in jail for a while. No contact from the Reapers in months. He ends up being a pen pal. Cleo needed someone to vent to and Joker was kind enough to let her. When things got worse, he did what he could to save her. Now out, Joker has a lot to learn about the new Dixie Reapers. But he also has a secret, he has an old lady, Cleo. But Joker doesn’t know everything about Cleo. She has a couple of things that she hasn’t told him. OMG, the main one is the saddest. I was holding my breath praying this was not going to be a sad one like Griz. But things started to unravel when we had a second issue all related to Cleo. This one will tear you in two. For one you didn’t know what the outcome would be for Cleo and the other well the Reapers had another issue that will be addressed in the next book. I have to say I am not looking forward to reading about what happens in Prophets story but we need to know. THAT one will be a bit dark. I'm happy that Joker finally found the woman that captured his heart. She deserves a happy ending.

Imagine his shock to see that his visitor is Chloe! She is being threatened by her brother. Joker, on the spur of the moment asks her to marry him....and she accepts.

Now Joker realizes that things must change, not just for him, but for Chloe. Little did he realize that he would never anticipate what the future held for Chloe or him.

The rollercoaster ride of emotion, danger, drama, etc. is now in full force. Read to see what happens and where this journey leads. Life is full of surprises and there are many curves along the way.

He marries Cleo to give her his last name and then she disappears. Four long years later, Cleo is away from her family but facing health problems that mean the end is near. She wants to see Joker before it’s too late. She reaches out to Joker and that sets a whirlwind of events that lead to a happily ever after! Joker and Cleo’s story had a different feel from others in this series. I loved the character development and the unexpected story line. Angst, action, and suspense make this a fantastic read. 5 stars. Looking forward to more amazing books from this author!

Joker and Cleo's story takes us on such an emotional ride. Cleo was in a horrible place at home, used by her brother and father, that the only way she can see to get out of it was to marry her biker penpal that is currently in prison. Though unaware as to what Cleo's homelife and circumstances are, he is on board with this, anything to help out the young girl he got to know through letters.
Several years pass, Joker is out of prison and tragic events have the two meeting up again and they try to figure out how their lives will come together.
Cleo has secrets that need to be revealed and Joker has decisions that he has to make that will affect Cleo and her place in the club.
This story was as much heartbreaking as it was uplifting. The love and understanding that was given to Cleo was awe inspiring and brought tears to my eyes.
This is another great story with wonderful characters that Harley has presented to us.

This one’s not the easiest to read because Cleo has had it tough, and a club member’s daughter is trafficked.
Cleo is dying of a bad heart, and her evil family is after her, so she turns to Joker, the man she married in a jailhouse ceremony several years ago.
This book is NOT SAFE. There’s no cheating at all, but there are serious TRIGGERS, including kidnapping, sex trafficking, terminal illness, and graphic, graphic violence. Plus language.
Heat is EXPLICIT but occasional.
TROPES include Love Story, Jailhouse Wedding, Ex-Con, Found Family, Heart Trouble, Adorable Moppet, and Damsel in Distress.
And for crying out loud, Dixie Reapers have GOT to get some decent security. Better prospects on the gate, an electrified fence, barbed wire, and some dogs at minimum. Or else people got to stop acting like they are safe at the compound. Because they obviously are not because this kind of shit keeps happening. It’s not even the first time somebody has cut through the fence.

Joker is doing time in prison and to pass away the time entered the pen pal program and started receiving letters from a young woman. After learning about her problem het got the warden to marry them so she could change her name and escape from her family. Now he is out of prison and his wife has come back into the picture along with her diabolical dysfunctional family. Cleo has so much going on in her life and there is a chance she may not live. Will Joker take her situation to heart and become the husband she really needs and let her into the Dixie Reapers MC Family to rally around and her keep her safe from her family. This story kept me glued to the pages from start to finish.

Wow just wow omg Harley Wylde did it again and knocks this one out of the world !!! This book pulled me in from the beginning I have been waiting for this awesome addition to dixie reapers series again because In each book of all her series each couple is special yet we always get the best entertainment with the side characters. The sexual and love chemistry between joker and Cleo is awesome and still there is nothing joker wouldn't do for cleo i love and adore this book .I can’t wait to see what happens next book I highly recommend this book it's a must read as all her books are ❤️💜❤️💜❤️

4 years later Cleo now 23 and has a health secret.

I love this author's books. Her male characters get smacked in the face by fate a lot of the time. That is the case with Joker and Cleo. A prison pen pal program brings a bright spot to Joker's existence in the form of letters from Cleo. when she ends up in a bad spot, she turns to the only man she can trust. The characters are raw and real, they never disappoint! I am always consumed by the books, devouring them in one sitting. This one was especially emotional and I couldn't put it down!

Jokes and Cleo’s story is 👨‍🍳😘💋. I’ll be honest some of the tropes in this book are not my typical go tos I’d even go so far to say that I avoid them but Harley did a fantastic job of bringing it all together and keeping you wanting more!

Harley is one of my favorite authors who is so talented that you are never left wanting in any area of the book. Not many can do what she does so well! I can’t wait for the next book 😍😍

Joker is in prison for half of his life and was just existing when he gets the pen pal Cleo who when they start writing is a teenager. He marries Cleo to give her freedom from her family. Years later after he gets out of prison, he writes Cleo to tell her that she is free. Cleo gets some bad health news and wants Joker she makes it to the Dixie Reapers compound. Joker and Cleo have to get to know each other and to see if they can be Biker and old lady for real.

This book was kind of bittersweet, just not in a bad way, though. Cleo is running from her past, and Joker is resigned to his past. It took Cleo almost checking out for Joker to realize how much she means to him. Being a Dixie Reaper means you don't get a break, but it's during those crisis times that show how much of a family they are when they come together for one another. I loved every minute of this story, definitely a five-star.

Joker and Cleo had many hills to climb but their love for one another kept them going strong. This story was so different from all the others in this series but it was as great.
