I absolutely love Nichole Rose’s books and this was no different.
It’s another hit from her, with everything I love about her writing.
It’s got that instantaneous, soul mate kind of love between the two characters, an alpha male who’s so sweet and tender with his girl, helping her grow and keeping her safe. It’s got a curvy girl with heaps of inner strength to balance out the sweet innocence she exudes. It’s got gentle comedic relief in the form of Ainsley being absolutely freaking adorably innocent and asking cute questions. It’s got passionate sex where the man isn’t afraid to get rough to show his possession and love, claiming her with his every touch.
And most importantly, it’s got good writing and a sappy, sweet ending that really hammers home the HEA they share even years later.
It was everything I could’ve hoped for and I wish I could say the same for most of the other books in this series.
I think there’s really only a few books in this series worth anyone’s time, sadly. Cameron Hart’s, Dani Wyatt’s, this one, and Lana Love’s. The rest of them I either couldn’t make myself finish because I disliked the writing so much, or finished but just wasn’t that happy about it. Definitely precede with caution. Maybe stick to the few good writers on the list and leave the rest because they’re all standalone so it won’t affect your reading experience if you don’t know what happened in the previous book.
Definitely read this book though, it’s great, and I love that a lot of Nichole’s books have character cameos from her other books. Can’t wait to read the next book she releases.
