Read 2: I’m on a bit of an old school Nichole Rose comfort read binge and this series has really been hitting the spot. I like how the story starts in the middle of the action and you skip them meeting which would have just made the story drag.

I actually went into this one expecting not to like it as much as the others because of a review I had read. I, and that review, was wrong. This is just as good as the first two books. After seeing the pain Trevor was in in the last book, I'm glad he got to see his resolution with the woman he loves. I would have been annoyed with Gracie for leaving for any reason except the reason that she did. I understand her being distraught and taking off now. But girl, can you NOT leave a phone number?! It would have taken you 15 extra seconds to add it to the bottom of the note. Well, I guess we wouldn't have a story if she did that.

This was a great "lunch break read" for when you need a quick romance hit with some possessive alpha maleness. I'm looking forward to checking out Eli's story next.

Trevor finally gets his story and its been awhile we know a girl broke his heart so he has been coldish and workaholic since he lost his Gracie. And when she shows back up 4 months later he kinda brushes her off and keeps his distance not wanting to be hurt. Which cases Gracie to have a mini break down with his brothers wife.. which leads with the news his girl is pregnant.

I liked that he wasnt mad at her for long since it really wasnt her fault to leave in the first place. Now they are building what they lost and it's cute.

No ow/om drama, no cheating, secondary chara, sexy times, no virgins or manwhore

First book I've read from this author but it definitely wont be the last. I loved this short read it was super steamy and sweet. I adored the heroine she was a sweetheart and hero was lovable too. Safe: no cheating, hero was experienced, I am not sure if heroine was a virgin or not. Adorable epilogue with 2 kids and pregnant with twins heroine.

I am not a fan of short & fluffy reads but I had a half hour today and I gave it a go. With that said, if you like over the top Alpha/Possessive Heroes and insta-love stories with not much story or angst, you will like this one. I am still not a fan of these types, but it is what it is….

Just to remember how much I hate the old Nichole Rose books. I read this years ago and I would not write a review now, if not for NR bringing up her old manwhore hero books, which I hoped would be dead and buried. In her newsletter I opened today Dec 22, 2024, she put the first chapter of "Her Alpha Daddy Next Door", a soulless, loveless story between a manwhore and a virgin. Very much the same thing throughout the whole series. One sucks more than the other. It had me revisit the whole series, and I hate all of them, and dislike 1 (even that one I will not revisit). Her old books were fucking awful, riddled with manwhore heroes. I HATE them with a passion!

The book starts off with the heroine and the hero fucking after knowing each other for two days, she is 18 and he is 30. He falls in love and wants to marry and have kids with her. That never makes sense, and is never believable. The man whore fucking any hole that will take his dick, settling for one woman? Once a man whore ALWAYS a man whore, and NOT ONE is worthy of a HEA. The unfairness of pairing him with a virgin heroine, (who magically knows how to suck cock like a pro), makes me so mad.
Then she had to leave after their one night because her mother was dying so she left him a note. Four months later she comes back to tell him she is pregnant, but he is cold and an ass because this manslut is scared. He never chased after her, never asked why she left. He did nothing! He is one of the worst heroes I have read! She deserved better!
THIS was the shit Nichole Rose would pass off as "romance". I am so glad she changed, because her old books just suck!
Now that I am done revisiting this series, and happy that she changed, I am NEVER reading it again!! EVER!!!

I actually thought it contained werewolves or something because of the name of the book. But it didn't. I admit I was kinda bummed. It was a really enjoyable short read though.

Her Alpha's Secret Baby, Book 3 of the Her Alpha series, was about 30-year-old Trevor Goodson, the youngest Goodson twin and head of the Goodson restaurant, and 18-year-old Grace "Gracie" Braithwaite

Trevor met Grace when her car broke down. They spent the next 48 hours in bed together, but then he had an emergency at work and left her a note while she was sleeping. When he returned, she was gone, leaving him a simple goodbye note with no explanation. His heart shattered.

Four months later, Grace returned but was afraid that Trevor would hate her for disappearing the way she did. While she had good reasons for leaving, she knew she went about it the wrong way. When he saw her, though, he knew he still loved her, but he treated her poorly. His brother Nathan confronted him about making both Gracie and Brook (Nathan's wife) cry. Upon hearing that, as well as the possibility Gracie was pregnant, all he could do was wait for her to show up at his house for their expected talk.

Another fast-paced, micro-short love story that touched the reader's heart and won over. There was not as much angst or drama in this book, mainly because it was such a short novella, but it was very well written, and it flowed smoothly from beginning to end.

The two main characters were well-developed and mature. There wasn't enough time for them to show any growth, but the fact that the four months' separation taught them to communicate better, was something the reader could believe eventually happened.

This was another four-star winner, and it will be added to my Keeper for the Shelves collection. Hopefully, the next two books will be just as good as the first three.

This book jumps right into Trevor and Gracie's relationship making us feel the passion and depth of feeling between these two. I don't believe in a specific required amount of time before admitting you are in love is acceptable so I was right there with these two who had only met a few days ago when Gracie's car broke down outside of the vinyard Trevor and his brothers own. Gracie winds up leaving without a word to Trevor when she is notified of her mother's imminent passing and it breaks Trevor's heart completely. He had been out buying her an engagement ring that morning so when he came back home to her gone, it destroyed him. Trevor became an angry asshole to everyone around him because of his pain. When a pregnant Gracie comes back after four months, Trevor pushes her away because he knows he wouldn't survive her leaving a second time and hurts her first out of fear before she does it to him again. These two eventually talk through things and apologize to each other and admit their feelings to find their HEA. Such a loving and cute story, I will read it again.

Okay read. I liked the writing style and the story flow. Some lines of the MCs were sweet and total cheesy that either made me swoon or cringe.

However, the main issue i had in this book was the fact that Trevor (H) was a 30 yo man while Gracie (h) was an 18 yo teenager. I mean what does a grown ass man has to do with a freaking teenager?

This was a novella and it was very insta-lust. After two days of meeting they both fell in love and he wanted to knock her up 😐 This relationship was creeping me out tbh, and I felt like he was preying on her even though she wasn't a minor anymore. This would've been better I guess if the heroine was in her twenties.

Overall, although this was a short read it has still a good story plot with some family dynamics and epilogue. I would've rated this higher had it not been the icky feeling I got from the MCs age. 🤷‍♀️

Look, this book isn’t pretending to be anything more than what it is. And this is very much of the “problematic? I don’t know her” school where fantasy is king and propriety can go eff itself. Which, that’s fine, can work for me, I don’t care read as you like, you’re a consenting adult, etcetera etcétera. Enjoy it or not. That’s up to you.

My struggle is that I just wasn’t into the story enough to look past its problematic bits. Like I kind of liked the family but the couple? Meh. But that’s just me.

He knew he wanted to keep her forever, but she up and left him after only a few days a d after four months of his g gone she's finally back. Will Trevor head her out? Or will he freeze her out? This is a wonderful read and I highly recommend it!

It didn’t have the depth or humor of the other two. There’s no storyline apart from them getting married and having babies. Well….

Almost as good as the last two books in the series. My issue is the over use of “breeding” being thrown around, even though I know that’s some peoples kink and Gracie’s age. If she was 20 I wouldn’t care as much but something about her being 18 gives me the ick considering Trevor is in his 30s. (I’m aware that 18 is the legal age of a consenting adult.)
