Love is right around the snowy bend in two classic Diana Palmer Christmas stories. Two unforgettable heroines might just find passion, redemption and happily-ever-after in their stockings this year….
Snow Kisses
When former model Abby Shane returns home to the Big Sky country she's always loved, she is a pale shadow of her former self. After what happened to her in New York, she can't let any man touch her again. But Cade McLaren isn't just any man, and in his powerful arms Abby slowly begins to heal. If only his attentions stemmed from love instead of pity. Instead, Abby hungers for that other all-consuming blaze she'd sparked in him one summer night a lifetime ago….
Lionhearted
As Christmas approaches in Jacobsville, Texas, starry-eyed debutante Janie Brewster is determined to prove to rancher Leo Hart that she's perfect for him. However, attempting to dazzle the confirmed bachelor with her newly acquired ranching skills only ends up vexing him even further. But wait…is it hot-blooded hunger—and not dark disdain—gleaming in his eyes during those smoldering kisses beneath the mistletoe?

Thanks Diana for another great read! I found her books in 2007 and even now about to be 2026 she is still my favorite author and the one that inspired me to become K. A. Blaze romance author. Thank you for sharing your talents with all of us. If you are looking for a a good read any of Diana’s books will do but lionhearted is still one of my rereads.
The 2 stories in this 2 - in -1 were rereads for me. I didn't know these were bohoks I had already read before years ago. The title through me off, making me believe this a was a NEW Christmas themed book by Diana Palmer. But, I still loved reading them again.
SNOW KISSES 3-Stars Cade is 14 years older than Abby. When she was 18 she thought she was old enough for him but he thought she was still too young. She went off to model in New York. Four years later she'd been mugged and almost raped. She decides to go home to heal. Is she too late? Is she old enough for Cade to return her love now?
Sweet country romance. Even though Cade was only 36 he was such a grouch! He was often mean in the things he would say to her but when you're young and in love, you'll put up with a whole lot more.
LIONHEARTED 3-Stars It seems like Janie Brewster has always been in love with Leo Hart. He's more than 10 years older than her. Her older best friend wants him too and willing to tell him lies about Janie to make Janie seem even less desirable to him. He believes the lies and starts saying mean and cruel things about her. When Janie hears him saying these things, she's crushed. Will he continue to believe the lies or will he remember the Janie everybody knows and realize she'd never, ever, say any of those things?
Janie is such a sweet girl that couldn't hurt a fly. The only time we see her temper is when dealing with Leo. He was cruel in the things he said about her and too her. Some things are very hard to forget.
What happened to the sweet talking cowboys with manners their mothers would be proud of?
A pair of novels from the prolific writer, Diana Palmer, that are well loved older stories.
Snow Kisses is a story of a country girl, Abby, who goes off to NYC to be a model and finds city life isn't all it's cracked up to be. After a traumatic experience she comes home and ends up staying with the man she has loved all her life. Cade owns the ranch where Abby's sister works and is considerably older than Abby but he has feelings for her that he couldn't express when she was younger. This is a great story of two people who need to communicate a lot better and be honest about what they really want.
Lionharted is the story of the last Hart brother, Leo, and Janie Brewster, a neighbor who has had a crush on him for years. When a manipulative friend of Janie's succeeds in driving them even further apart, Leo discovers that he hasn't really known how he felt. He has some serious making up to do if it isn't already too late.
Both of these stories are classic Palmer with an experienced older guy who tries to keep his hands off the younger virginal woman. The stories may show their age a little but they are still pure perfection to read if you love to see "the little woman" make that big hunk of Texas manhood fall like a big old tree. Her legions of fans will be thrilled to see these books back in print.
These stories are exciting and just a fun romantic read. Cade loved her but she was so excited about going to New York to be a model he didn't tell her he let her go. Abby loved Cade but was sure he didn't even like her and she cam home early to help her sister with her wedding. When her and Cade are alone together the seem to end up hating each other more. Snow Kisses is painful at times you just want them to listen to Abby's sister, Melly.
Lionhearted is about Leo Hart who has seen his brothers all wed. He is the only Hart brother left and he doesn't want to get married no matter how much Janie Brewster crushes on him. Marilee Morgan is Janie's best friend isn't she? She is helping Janie get Leo's attention isn't she? Janie didn't need to know Marilee went to Houston for dinner and ballet with Leo did she? It's a fun and dangerous and painful experience for everyone.
I've read both of these books previously. Snow Kisses was from the early 80's and Lionhearted in from 2002. It's fun to re-read books and see how moral issues have changed over the years. Smoking is so prominent with our hero. No cell phones for emergencies. Both these are wonderful old fashioned romances with a strong mail and a younger woman who loves them. Lack of communication is apparent with misunderstandings galore. Enjoy these for the Christmas holiday.
I received this books as an Advanced copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
If you are looking for a little bit of Christmas Romance then this book would be great for you. Both books give you that warm fuzzy HEA that we as romance readers are looking for, but will give you enough action and conflict to keep those pages turning.
Didn't finish this book. Both stories spend very little time developing the relationships between the primary characters and head straight for the physical attraction. No depth to the characters. Didn't hold my interest.
This book was an enjoyable holiday read, though a bit too sappy & unrealistic for my taste. If you’re looking for a sappy holiday read filled with angst where the heroine is a virgin, give this one a try.
