Trigger warnings: past toxic/abusive relationship, domestic violence and trauma.
Allane Milliane wrote on journals throughout her childhood and teenage years. For her, writing and reading has always been the best way to escape reality and live different lives in one. When not writing she is working full time, raising her daughter, running, travelling, watching Tennis matches and Formula 1 races and, of course, reading. She was born and raised in Brazil, has lived in six different countries and today lives in Munich, Germany, but the ocean is her home.
This book had me giggling and so incredibly happy. I love the main characters and the side characters and how supportive everyone was towards each other and how they were always there when someone needed them. Olivia’s story is a hard one and you can definitely see her growth and vulnerability throughout this book. It was really interesting reading about her ex boyfriend and how abusive he was and how she was able to leave finally. It really helps you understand her choices she makes throughout the book. Lucas is such a sweetheart and so attentive to Olivia. I can definitely understand why he didn’t tell Olivia that he was famous but I can also understand Olivia’s point of view from it.
This is such a cute feel good book and I definitely recommend!
“You know chérie, a heart beats fast-you can change your mind fast too, from one second to the other, or in a heartbeat as people say. Sometimes you just need to listen to it.”
This follows Olivia 26 and Lucas 27. Olivia is a lingerie designer for a well-known company that has a past with a toxic ex and struggles to trust. Lucas is in town for a few weeks for work and is in the same apartment complex and they have a meet cute moment in the elevator that changes everything. Can Olivia trust again and will Lucas reveal who he is?
I thought this was brilliant. Tennis was my whole life growing up and the Wimbledon chapters had me smiling. I love all the characters even the best friends that support her. Olivia may struggle with letting people in but what she went through with flashbacks to a toxic past relationship and the representation of DV, to what she is struggling with now I appreciated. As someone who comes from a family of DV, I could only imagine the struggles she went through to keep herself safe. Loved Olivia's character a lot. Lucas is a listener, attentive and shows her what love should be like. Always putting her first and being a gentleman. I understood why he hid who he was. This was a feel-good read that made you smile and fall in love with both main characters. The flirty spice with a confident FMC in lingerie to tease or surprise Lucas was delicious. It was a fast-paced relationship but it didn’t feel fast-paced at all. I will be getting a physical copy for my shelves! Just read it!

OMGGGGG this was such a cute, little fun read! I loved the storyline of her being a lingerie designer and him being a famous tennis player in disguise. After all the heavy and dark stuff you can stumble upon, this was the perfect compensation. You know, some books are just the best after an exhausting day at work and this is one of them. 🫶
Now, our dear fmc Olivia was just the moment. I loved the way she had the perfect piece of lingerie for every possible occasion (such a queen honestly). Especially her determination when it came to her job really amazed me and how much she stuck to her daily routines. Must say though that her not once second guessing who her new fling was threw me off a tad bit. Idk, maybe it’s just me, but before dating somebody I’d want to know more about them and their job than just a vague answer. 🕵️♂️
Moving on to Luc, our great tennis player. So, don’t get me wrong, for me he was just there sometimes. You know, he is just Ken and his job is, well, uhm, …just Luc I guess. 😭 I am saying this with my most sincere and genuine respect for him. I don’t dislike him or whatsoever, sometimes he just seemed a bit shallow and I still feel as if I don’t know anything about him other than him being crazy good at playing tennis. Maybe that’s because he never got his own pov and therefore he was unable to really show himself. 🫣
Anyhow, I am so happy I picked this one up! I can only recommend giving it a try! Much looking forward to reading more in this series. 🫢🥰
Tropes: ✨strangers to lovers ✨he falls first 😩 ✨sports romance ✨friendship love ✨tension 😳😳
This was such a cute and enjoyable book. I was laughing and giggling and blushing the whole time. I loved all the characters in this book except for one of them we all know who that is. I love Olivia she is such a strong loving person and it was so exciting to watch her grow and except everything that’s been happening and Lucas for such a kind and understanding and caring person Olivia and just exactly what she needed at that time and I was so happy to see them finally get together. this was such a fun read and I totally recommend this to anyone.
What to Expect: - Sports Romance - Professional Tennis Player MMC - Designer FMC - Meet Cute - Reverse Grumpy/Sunshine - Strangers to Lovers - Secret Identity - He Falls First - Cinnamon Roll MMC - Past Trauma
I really enjoyed Heart Match. I am a huge tennis fan, and after seeing the cover, I immediately knew I wanted to read this story. I don't see many sports romance books with main characters that play tennis, and I love the uniqueness of this choice.
Olivia, a successful designer for a well-known company, has a bad day at work and ends up hanging out with her friends. She heads home and meets Luke in the elevator in her apartment building. She has had too much to drink and gets sick, so Luke ends up taking care of her. Waking up the next morning, she wonders how she got home and realizes it was the man from the elevator. Olivia runs into Luke again; they hit it off, then make plans for Olivia to make him dinner. Olivia is attracted to Luke and feels very comfortable with him, making their conversation over dinner easy. She opens up to Luke about sensitive topics she normally doesn't discuss. Olivia starts to trust Luke, but that trust is threatened when she finds out he has been withholding information from her.
I really enjoyed the characters. I love that Olivia is driven and confident in her abilities as a designer. I love that Luke is cute, sweet, attentive, and the perfect gentleman. Of course, as a tennis fan, I love that Luke is a tennis player and the inclusion of Wimbledon. I did want more from Luke, though. While the single POV was fine, I would have loved to get Luke's POV. I always love it when there is a great group of friends in stories, so I enjoyed the scenes with Naomi and Lexi.
Overall, this was a cute and fun read. The story is well-written and has humor, tension, and sweet moments. I'm excited to read what's next for Allane Milliane.
Thanks to Allane Milliane for the eARC. Opinions expressed are my own.
I think I am officially a tennis fan after this adorable book. I’ve always been a sucker for a sports romance book but, I didn’t know I had a thing for tennis players until Luc Lamaire 👏🏼😍 Luc is charming, and sweet. Safe to say I have a book boyfriend crush on this fictional French man. I loved how devoted Luc was to Olivia. The man never gave up and continued to fight for Olivia knowing she had her walls up👏🏼 I truly ate this book up. I read it in one sitting because I had to know how it ended. 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝 was fun, cute, and fast paced. A delightful read!
🎾 Sports Romance ♥️ He Falls First 🤫 Secret Identity 🌶️ Spicy ❤️🩹 Past Trauma
⚠️ Definitely check trigger warnings before reading as this book touches on some heavy topics (abusive relationship, trauma, physical abuse) ⚠️
Thank you to Love Notes PR and Allane Milliane for the opportunity to read and review the ARC of 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝
This was such a bingeable read! I loved the tennis and celebrity romance moments. Overall I think as an indie author there is a lot of good stuff here, but I think it won’t stay with me the way other romances will this year.
Olivia, lingerie designer, workaholic, with her life planned out ahead of her, and that included a strong plan to avoid men after the end of her last relationship ❌️. Lucas successful tennis player 🎾, currently staying in London in order to compete at Wimbledon 🎾.
Although Olivia doesn’t want a man she wants Lucas 🤭. She spots him in her building, they have a drunken run in and from there their relationship develops into more and more over time. When Olivia asked if Lucas played tennis after she spotted him with his tennis stuff 🎾. Completely clueless to who he is, his response is just so funny 😂.
They have little interaction that run throughout the whole book ❤️. The constant consumption of smoothie , and maybe an additional pang of jealousy on the side when a server makes a flirty comment 😉.
Title: "Heart Match"⠀ Author: Allane Milliane @allanewrites Release date: 24 April 2024⠀ About the book: Falling in love was not in her plans. But ignoring his existence is not an option either... My rating: 4.5 ⭐️⠀ Words: spicy, funny, sexy, food, family bonds, friendship, past toxic relationship, secrets, tennis, discoveries, lingerie, feelings, communication, t-shirt
Out of all the possible romance books out there, I think sports romance is my favourite (followed closely by dark romance), so of course I jumped on this opportunity when the sign up e'mail came in, and I am really glad I did. Boy did the spiciness bring up the room temperature! I think the universe sent me a rainstorm and a temperature drop of 15°C these past few days, just so I can read this story and extinguish the flames naturally... The story has Olivia, a lingerie designer (yes, there are details that bring out some great visuals), meeting Lucas...a...gentleman (when it matters), in the cutest yet most embarrassing way possible 🤭 hangovers are never ever good, but a cute neighbour might turn them around 😏 and that's the start of a beautiful adventure! Btw #hefallsfirst I loved the cooking together scenes, all the story of their families that they shared, the friendships and the heavy discussions, I will refrain from saying anything about the ex-boyfriend. Although I feel like that past toxic relationship was revealed a little too sudden and maybe it was not explored enough, I have all the faith in the author that the story she has mapped out for Livvy and Luc is exactly as it should be 🥰 I was happy to learn that we have more books with these characters, and I am intrigued by the 4th book with one of the lovely side characters (please take Lexi on an adventure, or Andi 👀). All in all I loved this and will now go annoy my husband (an avid tennis fan and amateur tennis player) until he buys this for me, because today is my name day and I need to annotate some scenes 🤭

This was such a fun read!
Olivia is a fashion designer for a high-end lingerie company and is beginning to feel stuck. After a bad ending to a relationship a few years back, Olivia sticks to one night stands and casual sex. After one terrible night of drinking, she runs into a very attractive man in the elevator… who ends up holding back her hair as she gets sick and gets her to bed in her own apartment.
Lucas Lamaire (Luc) is renting the penthouse suite at Olivia’s apartment complex. He’s only staying for a few weeks for work, but the two begin to hit it off and have immediate chemistry. Olivia tries to hold Luc at arms length, but she cannot help but feel drawn to him. But Luc has omitted one of the biggest things about himself and Olivia is about to find out in one of the worst ways possible…
I played tennis in middle school and high school so it was so fun to read a book with a professional tennis player as the male love interest! I honestly wish we had gotten Luc’s POV and more tennis scenes— but I’m probably biased there!
I felt like it was hard to connect with the two of them other than that instant attraction. Luc was a gentleman and cared a ton for Olivia but other than that he felt a little underdeveloped. Overall I’d definitely recommend you pick this up for a fun read!
4/5⭐️ - If you don’t have a tennis book boyfriend yet - well now you do! Luc is your man (Frenchman to be exact😉)!
Olivia is a very successful lingerie designer who isn’t looking for love anytime soon - especially after previously being in an abusive relationship for 2 years. Luc is the #2 tennis player in the world and she has no idea! One night they have a meet cute as Luc is staying in Olivia’s building temporarily as he competes in Wimbledon, and things unravel from there.
This was a very cute read filled will some of my favorite tropes. I loved the two characters chemistry and how Luc is able to fill such a void in Olivia’s life. This book is so fun and I love the girl bestie element in the story!
As someone who LOVES tennis, I absolutely adored this book and characters!
Things you'll find in this meet-cute book: 🩷sports romance 🩷he falls first 🩷girl gang supporte london (wimbledon) 🩷tennis player/ lingerie designer 🩷a little spice 🩷 secret identify
I hope you enjoy this cute romance book as much as I did!
Special thank you to Love Notes PR for sending me an ARC copy of this book.

3.5/5 ⭐️ 2/5 🌶
thank you to allane milliane and love notes pr!
olivia is a lingerie designer who works too much and too hard. when she arrives home one day, she runs into lucas - temporary neighbor and hot, mystery man!
with knowing nothing about luc after meeting him, we see her make assumptions and jump to conclusions about him. what she thinks are huge red flags might just not be what she thinks they are!
i liked this book. olivia had so much pain and trauma from a previous toxic relationship and it was so sweet to see luc treat her SO WELL! i just wanted more from this.
i loved that olivia was SO blind to everything while still being her confident, boss b*tch attitude!! she wears lingerie everyday FOR HERSELF. love that for her!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ spice 🌶️ third act break up? yes but handled perfectly. tropes: secret identity, forced proximity (live in same building), black cat FMC x golden retriever MMC lingerie designer x professional tennis player
This book gave Sex and the City vibes and I was here for it. Olivia, Naomi and Lizzy were such a fun group of friends to read about! I love their girl time and I love how they’re relationship is exactly what they need for each other.
Olivia went through too much in the past and you can tell she protects her heart and her life routine with all of her, she seems a very practical, determined and independent woman, and she is!
However Luc shows her she can’t not always control her heart, and as she lets him in without even noticing, what they have together is just so sweeeeeet.
The hidden identity trope is not my fave but this book is so sweet and funny and fast paced that I loved every minute of it! Luc and Olivia’s romance is definitely a sweet passionate love story!
Luc… what a man! He was so dedicated, kind, caring all while being sexy, it was so 🥵
ALSO, the lingerie as a metaphor and reason why Olivia feels a certain way or wants to feel a certain way? GENIUS. I would listen to Olivia talking about what each lingerie choice means what for pages and pages and pages!
And her lingerie revenge? iykyk. It was 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
All of the characters in this book are amazing (except Josh, fck you forever you disgusting pos) and I can’t wait to see what the other books in the series will be about! I’m definitely very interested in Jules 👀👀 and I feel like Lizzy will also have her own love story 👀👀
This books is a solid 4.5/5 ⭐️ for me! I loved the character development of Olivia! I also loved how Luc gave her the space and patience she needed to open up about her past relationship trauma. This book had a fun way for the characters to meet and continue meeting throughout the story. Luc fell first in this story and it was wonderful to see him work so hard to keep their relationship going. It did feel a little cliché that Olivia is a lingerie designer as there is some spice in the book, but I do feel like it made perfect sense with her character! I definitely would recommend this book to someone who has a hard time falling in love with people. Such a good ending to the story and can’t wait to read more from Allane!
Heart Match was a cute and quick read. Olivia is one of my favorite FMC’s of all time. She’s strong, inspiring, driven, and intelligent. It was breath of fresh air reading about a character like her. Plus her job made for some really good spicy scenes😉
I couldn’t connect with Luc unfortunately. It felt like there was no emotion coming from him when I was reading. There was just something missing about his character.
Overall I enjoyed this book and the writing, would recommend!!
• Sports Romance • Hidden Identity • Strong FMC • Celebrity Romance • He Falls First
Heart Match is such a cute book! My heart ached for what Olivia had to go through with her ex, but I’m so glad she has Luc to help her embark on this new found chapter in her life. Speaking of Luc… he’s just the best! Where can I find myself a Luc? lol
There were some disconnects within the book & I wish there was an epilogue but other than that, this is a great romance novel! Couldn’t put it down! Soo good!
✨Thank you to Love Notes PR and Allane Milliane for the ARC!✨
"For all the Women who keep swimming despite the storm" - Book Dedication
Firstly how cute is this cover? I binged this in two days! This was such a cute and easy read. It's quite a predictable story, not in a bad way at all though - I loved the story line and thought Olivia and Luc were great MC's, everything that happened I wanted to Happen! Luc has being added to the book boyfriend list, The way he is so protective and considerate to Livy and I love 'the he falls first' trope it wins every time 🤌🏻😚
Strong 4 stars for me; purely for the fact the spice was good but wanted a little more/ I generally wanted more chapters and didn't want it to end.
I love sports romances so much - this one is SUCH a stand out!! The romance felt so genuine and real and had me kicking my feet and giggling at basically every page!!
The characters were so loveable both individually and together!! I am OBSESSED😍😍😍
Will be recommending this to anyone who will listen!!
This book was everything I needed! Lucas and Olivia are honestly so so cute and made me giggle quite a bit! The tropes in this book are amazing! I don’t tend to read many sport romances just because I haven’t really gravitated towards them however, I feel like this book has changed that for me! I absolutely loved it!!
I love a sports romance book but this was my first ever tennis romance book. I was a bit nervous going in at first but that fear quickly went away as I started to read. Luc and Olivia’s story is so lovely to read. This book touches on some really important topics and it is written so well. I can’t wait for the rest of the series to come out. I LOVED that is was set locally to where I live.
❤️Celebrity Romance ❤️Sports Romance ❤️Meet Cute ❤️Strong Female Lead ❤️He falls first
Thank you so much to @lovenotes.pr and @allanewrites for giving me access to this ARC 🫶🏻
5/5 ⭐️ One of my new fav books! I can’t wait to order this and have it on my bookshelf 🥹 I will be talking about this for the rest of time!!
It wasnt meant to be written this way but to me, it felt like reading someone’s journal maybe it’s because the only books I’ve read lately are dual povs?
I lovedddd the connection between Luc and Olivia, the drama, the connection they have, they might be one of my new fav book couples 🤌
Livvy and her best friends have the most fun, caring, loving friendship. I loved how they were a big part of the book!
There is talk of a past abusive relationship so if you decide to read, maybe look up trigger warnings.
I don’t want to give too much away but PLEASE trust me when I tell you to read this!!
This book was so good I stayed up till 3AM to finish it. I just couldn’t put it down! The tension and chemistry between the main characters was just chef’s kiss 😘 I was kinda frustrated with Olivia because of her stubbornness but I understand that it was because of her past trauma. Luc! Oh Luc! Sweet, shy, but also a freak in the sheets 😏
This was my first Tennis romance book. Me being a Tennis player, I should have read one sooner but I never did. I have no idea why. But now I’m grateful because now I had a really great experience.
-I'm grateful for having been able to read the ARC of this book. Before reading it,I had no expectations, and as I read the story it caught me. The romance is well written and developed.
-I loved the relationship of Luc and Olivia, they're the definition of meeting someone at the right time. I liked Olivia's evolution regarding trusting someone again romantically after her toxic ex.
-Another thing I liked is the author's way of writing, which helps you emphasize with the characters and what they're feeling. I can't wait for the next book!
• Sports Romance • Hidden Identity • Celebrity Romance • He Falls First
I found the writing very choppy and sometimes hard to follow. Some further editing or beta reading could have probably cleaned up some sections and made it flow more smoothly.
I wanted to try a Tennis Romance and while I loved the MMC, I found the FMC to be pretty boring. I assume her being a lingerie designer was meant to add some spice to the story but I couldn't relate in the slightest bit to her desire to wear it daily. Some of the verbiage used during the spicey scenes was way too clinical and a lot of the dialogue was unrealistic and downright cringy. No one would talk like that.
The FMC's toxic and abusive ex was a storyline that was absolutely dropped and was anticlimactic. If the author wasn't going to tie up the story line in any way shape or form I don't know why she even brought him to the page towards the end except to have Luc save her from him.
I liked the idea of the story and there were some incredibly sweet spots but as a whole the entire book fell incredibly flat for me. Being a single POV didn't help as I have a harder time connecting to characters when the story is one sided.
Thank you to lovenotesPR for this ARC!

As a mystery author, at first, I couldn’t quite get into the book! (But again, I’m a mystery nerd and I don’t usually read romance!!) But truly, after reading through a few chapters, I was immediately hooked.
Olivia is a to-die-for character!!!! Her personality is so feminine and strong, and it compiles perfectly with Luc's romantic demeanor.
Even though the relationship seemed a LITTLE rushed, this book was extremely sweet!!
Tropes: - Celebrity Romance - Sports Romance (tennis) - Strong Female Lead - He Falls First - Happens in London
𝐌𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: I felt like I was watching a movie the whole time! I loved this story, Luc (MMC) being a famous tennis player and Olivia (FMC) being a well known lingerie designer. What an exciting mix!🥰 I really think the friendship Olivia shares with her girls is admirable. It’s so important to have friends like them, friends who make time for you, check in on you and support you no matter what. But also tell you like it is when the time comes 😌 There were a few instances Olivia got on my nerves. Her friends were there to ground her. I loved how she had lingerie for all occasions and was always proud of her work. I got a lil inspired to order myself some lingerie because of her 😂 (cause why not treat myself!?).
To me, Luc was perfection. He knew what he wanted, he knew what he had to do to get what he wanted. And he went for it. He was very open with her.
The only reason I don’t give it 5 ⭐️’s is because I didn’t quite agree with the reasoning dealing with the ultimate conflict. I don’t think Luc did anything wrong on his end, he always answered any questions she had.
Overall, I highly recommend! It highlights the power of friendship, the power of self-confidence, stepping out of your comfort zone and giving people a chance 🤗
Thank you to @allanewrites and @valentine_pr_ for having me as part of the ARC team!
Happy Pub Day!! .. ARC Review : “Heart Match” by Allane Milliane .. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 4 .. Synopsis : 🩱Olivia Charlton - She is not in a place where falling in love is an option or even in her radar. She has created a perfectly curated life as a workaholic and an extremely successful lingerie designer. Her last relationship has left her empty and she’s not had any interested in opening up. Until she meets Luc…
🎾 Lucas Lamaire - He is a famous tennis player with his sights on winning Wimbledon. He chooses not to tell Liv about his celebrity which wasn’t hard considering she has ghosted herself on all socials. His charm and understanding has led Liv to open up for the first time in a long time. But he’s worried when she finds out about his tennis secret that it might be just too much for her… .. Thoughts : This meet cute was something for the books, what a way to make a first impression Liv. 🫣 I will admit it took me a minute to really get into this story but once Luc and Liv’s connection started blossoming, I was sold. They are adorable and the support they showed one another was chefs kiss. Knowing about Livs past really helped their story and in understanding how she navigated her developing feelings for Luc. This unique sports romance will give you all the smiles and I for one LOVED the tennis backdrop. As an athlete myself, it’s always fun to read romances outside of the hockey and football world! ❤️ .. *I was lucky enough to receive this ARC from Allane Love Notes PR (THANK YOU) .. all opinions are my own. ❤️
Firstly, I’d like to thank Allane for selecting me to read the Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
Without a doubt, I have loved EVERY minute of this book. The chemistry between Olivia & Luc was absolutely the highlight for me. The story line was beyond engaging to the point I was unable to put the book down. I read right through until the wee hours of the morning.
I loved the pacing of the story, and the development of the connection between the two love interests. There was no third act break up which is ALWAYS a highlight in my opinion, and the trials ad tribulations the couple faced together, didn’t deter me from wanting to read the book. Usually when there’s too much tumult between two characters, I’m instantly turned off.
Both characters were equally as interesting, & I found myself well satiated from beginning to end. The ONLY piece of feedback I have to give, was perhaps the editor could’ve spent a bit more time with the author in the first few chapters, working on the flow of the story line to make it more captivating from the start.
This book has left me in anticipation for the next books in this series. I’m beyond looking forward to devouring the rest of this story.
I wish the Author the best of luck with this release, as well as every success for this wonderful piece of art that is this book.
I hope everyone adds this to their TBR, as it’s hands-down the BEST sports romance i’ve EVER read! 📖📚💭
I’ve always been a sucker for sports romance but I never thought I’d be a tennis girly until Luc Lamaire. I think it’s safe to say that I am crushing hard on this fictional French man.
This was such a cute read! It was a little predictable (in a good way!) but I found comfort in that. My heart ached at times for Olivia for what she had to go through due to a toxic and abusive relationship but thankful that she found a safe space in Luc.
*definitely check trigger warnings as this book touches on some heavy topics such as abusive relationships, trauma, and physical abuse*
Luc Lamaire. The sweet, shy, and attentive man that he is–can also be one hell of a devil in the sheets. I loved the way he was so patient and understanding of Olivia, giving her the space she needed until she was ready to talk about what happened to her past. Luc is the epitome of a true gentleman–with his oh so charming ways and making sure he always gets Olivia’s consent before doing anything, is just swoon worthy!
Overall, it was a fun and quick read! I thoroughly enjoyed the playful and flirty banter between Luc and Olivia and how their characters developed throughout the story!
Things I loved: -he falls first -playful banter -meet cute -flirty spice
