As far back as I can remember, I've been a bit different. When I was four, my parents plucked me from an orphanage that has no record of my biological family and no idea where I came from. They brought home a weak and shy little girl, and I soon blossomed into a chronically ill teenager by day and a screaming tormented dreamer by night. With few friends and fewer prospects, I'm hardly a social butterfly. However, this year is going to be better, or so I thought. My new history teacher thinks I'm a reincarnated warrior princess with a duty to retrieve an ancient scroll and decipher a prophecy before vampires, witches, lycans, and demons do. But, in order to go from zero to hero I must befriend a demon, trust and angel, and try not to look stupid in front of the hot new guy, that just so happens to be the first boy that has ever paid attention to me. Who said being sixteen was easy?
I'm a lover of all things Chocolate and fantasy. When I'm not writing, I'm usually lost in the world of a new book or watching Nick Jr. with my two year old. I'm a southern girl through and through, and even spent a lot of my childhood feeding chickens and cutting wood. I recently relocated to eastern North Carolina with my family. I'm happily married to my high school sweet heart, and we have three beautiful children that keep me laughing.
This one was frustrating I wanted to love it but it just dragged and it needed a ton of editing. I am no grammar expert but some changes need to be made and I think this will be a fantastic read for me... I had to stop but I shall come back to it later it was just taking to long.
This book is rated 3.5. It’s a young adult a book and Not something I read everyday. The main character kept pissing me off. I had to constantly remind myself she’s 16.
I thought the book had a good story line. You can feel the writers imagination come alive as you read. I think writing paranormal books are the hardest because your creating such a different world for your characters and the readers. The author did a good job at this. I come to terms with the fact that I out grew YA books.
This was well written, even though it took a little long to get to the really crazy/juicy parts. Stamina was a typical teenager, so it was great to see her growth. It'll be interesting to see what is going to happen with Eric and Tristan. And now with the additional young man, will Mina be reunited with her lost love or is this some unpleasantness sent by the Ancients.
This book was so good. I loved the storyline. It really drew my attention. I love the character Samina. She just has way too many admirers lol. I hope she can get stronger and become Adaya. I can't wait to see what happens in book two. Hopefully she will find her dream guy.
My only problem with the book is how gullible Mina is, but then again I have to remember she is 16. Her situation with Creed just makes me think of my friend and her boyfriend and how wrapped up she is even though no one else likes him. Like that I saw all the signs but it made for a good ending
Love love the heroine. I wish this book would get picked up for a series on television. It's different enough and captivating. I can't wait to read book 2.
