Nothing says 'surprise' quite like being nabbed by a pirate from another planet.
He calls himself a merchant, but who’s he kidding? Those off-limits areas in his ship aren’t for storing harmless space trinkets. I’m pretty sure he’s a pirate. He’s even got a swashbuckling swagger that may or may not show off his perfect backside, of all things.I get it - a guy with a dark past is trouble. Don’t fall in love. But in this vast ship, with only one bed between us, it’s impossible to stay away. His red skin, horns, and tail just add to his exotic allure.Worse, there’s a sweet side to him--hidden beneath all those secrets and charming smirks--that keeps bringing me back for more. How will I get home, and more importantly, will I even want to?“Oh No, I Got Myself Abducted And Kissed An Alien Pirate” is a humorous, steamy sci-fi romance set in the “At The Alien Hotel” series that you won’t be able to put down. Expect intergalactic miscommunications, perilous danger, and possessive alien mates.
I got 50% through the book and the author just kept dropping these homophobic locker room talk. Like “oooo don’t sneak a peak at me while I’m changing” and walking in on someone in the bathroom “I didn’t think you swung that way”. Ew. No.
A cute and steamy short read that gave me giggles and teased me to visit the Alien Hotel ;) It works as the perfect introduction to the series as we get to meet some of the future characters and experience the universe they live in. The MMC was a sweet and playful pirate that had me thinking, "Oh yes, abduct me!" I plan on kissing an alien assassin next :P
A fun alien romance escape with shared bed, fated mates feel, horns, tail, and an impossibly large peen. I loved it, and it was the perfect read to enjoy before bed, because I finished in 2.5 hours and will still get my beauty sleep. Definitely excited to see what the rest of the series has in store!
I just wanted like 300 more pages. As usual. This was truly so fun!! And we can put Valtair in my Weird Wieners presentation at the end of the year, so it's like a double win.
this was a fun quick read!! in this prequel, theres a bit of adventure in space, a quick preview of each character, some spicy scenes, an abdvct3d sassy human FMC & a hot red neat-streak alien pırate with a long tail, horns, & ridged 🍆 that all came in very handy!! looking forward to reading the next of the series ♥️♥️
this is the prequel of 𝘈𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯 𝘏𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘭 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴. these are interconnected characters that can be read as 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘦
It's OK, I guess. Nothing extraordinary. And there's very little worldbuilding. Nothing is explained, just brushed over. And there are a bunch of missing words that constantly took me out of the story.
I'm so glad I went back and read this before continuing with the series as it provides the introduction to the four alien characters that each book is based on, Rist, Sutex, Valtair and Taruk while also focusing on Valtair and Jen's tale. I can't help but adore the overall story as well as the four loveable aliens as they journey to find a new life that is safe for all of them. It's another easy read, with humor, action, misunderstandings and of course a dash of spice. And if all aliens were like these guys, i wouldn't mind being abducted myself 😁
Having read book 1 first (as I didn't know about this one until after I'd read it). It was great to meet Valtair who was only mentioned briefly in the next book, as he didn't go with the others to open the alien hotel. Valtier is a pirate, nope make that a merchant (as he doesn't like to be called a pirate) is taking his friends to meet the Galactic Federation where they can turn themselves over as refugees. On the way Valtair and Sutex board a ship to steal medicine for Taruk who is injured, after being discovered they grab a container and beat a hasty retreat. Only the container doesn't quite hold what Valtair was expecting. I have to say I totally adored Valtair, who has a bit of a grumpiness about him as well as having a touch of OCD when it came to cleaning. In fact he reminded me of an alien Han Solo, complete with a roguish charm and a space ship that is a bit of a rust bucket.
Jen was likeable from the start, she was funny, adorable, and curious along with a feisty personality, which made her totally relatable. After waking up in a metal container she quickly discovers she's been abducted, and although scared at first, her adventurous spirit helps her to adapt to her new reality. Finding herself drawn to Valtair, she sees that for all his fierce looks and size, he is underneath a giant teddy bear with a bit of a scoundrel streak. Yeah I loved her immensely. I have to say Jen and Valtair were definitely kindred spirits and the spark between them could of lit a bonfire, and I was giddy with happiness when they finally found their HEA. I don't think we've seen the last of them and I'm looking forward to seeing them in future books.
I'm off to book 3 and Taruk's story and I have to say I'm intrigued by this alien as we haven't seen much of him in the books so far so I'm looking forward to finding out more. I'm definitely glad I discovered this series as it's quite enjoyable with engaging characters and story. Totally recommend 😁
3 1/2 Stars. The start of what's shaping up to be a really nice series if this is anything to go by. Valrair doesn't consider himself to be a pirate. He's just a Captain doing what's necessary to survive. His crew and himself all had very different lives until they had to escape and go on the run. All he wants to do is live alone so he doesn't have to live with the guilt of his friends being in their current situation. While on a raid, he finds a crate that looks like it holds something valuable, so he takes it. Jen wakes up thinking that she partied too hard because she has a pounding headache. Then, she sees her surroundings and hates to think that her mother was right. She's been kidnapped while backpacking! As she wanders around the ship, she's caught and realizes that she's on a ship with Aliens! After the initial struggling when she's found, she's glad he's a friendly being. Maybe he can help her return home, but does she want to return? Didn't she leave home to travel and discover more? Besides, he's. .sexy. Valtair knows that this beautiful female is his mate. He felt it the moment he first saw her. They quickly feel and give into the rising heat between them but he has a mission to complete. Keep the promise of getting his friends safely to their new destination and nothing to offer his new love. Can he leave his mate and walk away? Is she better off without him? She can't believe what he says to her. Was what happened between them just a fling? I think I'd like to stick around and read the next in the series. Stand alone with a HEA. No cliff-hanger.
Valtair (H) and his alien friends are heisting cargo from another spacecraft when he comes across a large container which he takes back aboard his own ship, The Bounty. Jen (h) awakens to find she's trapped in a coffin-like box and escapes into an unfamiliar environment. Valtair is surprised to find Jen in his cargo hold and worried that she might have been sent to spy on his friends, puts her in his cabin. The two are drawn to one another, even as Jen struggles with the realization that she’s the victim of an alien abduction and is unlikely to ever see home again. Valtair is patient and caring of Jen as he tries to help her adjust to her new reality but worries that she wouldn't want a life with him aboard The Bounty. Hot and steamy alien-human quickie romantic prequel for the “At The Alien Hotel" series with a bit of swashbuckling action and adventure.
But there was need for more editing, at first there were small continuity mistakes (one moment sitting the next standing, height gap was different depending on what they were doing,etc)... But halfway through there were some big ones that were plot related... And the last 20~25% of the story was just plain weird... I did like the beginning, the characters were likable and the premise was interesting but it needs some polishing... This seems to be a novella introducing a new series, so we see some characters and plot starters, maybe the rest of the books will have a more completed storyline...
POV: dual (both main leads) Tropes: alien abduction, alien with horns and a tail, fast burn romance, novella. Spice: medium (two detailed scenes) CW: claustrophobic scene near the beginning, the rest is a pretty light read.
“Sometimes you have to embrace the unknown to find happiness.”
What a wonderful and steamy segue into the next series!!! Jen is a human who was being transported cytogenetically after being abducted. She is inadvertently added to Valtair’s cargo when he raids her ship. Valtair is a merchant, sometimes pirate 🏴☠️, who is trying to get his friends to the Federation to start a new life, opening up an Alien hotel. Valtair thought he would be alone once he dropped off his friends/brothers-in-arms until he meets Jen who is his fated mate. Can they find a way to stay together? Lots of humor, steam, and snark makes this a great read!! Can’t wait for the next - yes I am looking at you Sutek!! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this Book
Gleeful Goblin Review: I ADORE the MCs in this book but especially Jen. Coming from a toxic family, I super relate to the story beat where going to therapy that was meant to mold you to someone else's wishes ends up giving you tools to take control of your own destiny. It's not an experience I recommend for anyone but man alive does it feel nice to feel SEEN on that front y'know? And of course, my heart aches for Valtair who is carrying a heavy weight of survivors guilt and is should-ing himself to the point of misery and isolation on his slowly falling apart ship. This is an adorable, sweet, and steamy story that reminds me of the Corsairs series by Ruby Dixon in the best of ways. 5/5 Stars
3.5 stars. Valtair, the male alien lead, is pilfering supplies from another spaceship when he comes across a strange container. He takes it because it looks like it could have something interesting…
Jen, the female human lead, is shocked to find herself waking in a coffin. When she gets the lid opened, she’s even more shocked to find herself in a totally unidentifiable location with what doesn’t look like human company…
When Valtair and his companions work out that Jen has been abducted, they do everything they can to help, including getting intergalactic authorities involved. But Valtair’s not sure he wants a mate nor that he can let Jen go…
This novella is dual POV, well written, and an interesting sci fi romance introducing a new world and series for the author. I enjoyed Jen’s resilience. I was amused by Valtair’s determination that he didn’t need or want a mate. I enjoyed the relationship development. I enjoyed the secondary characters. I’m looking forward to more in this series.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
Voltair's mission is to deliver his friends safely to their new home. On the way, they stop to plunder another spaceship for much-needed supplies. After carrying their booty back to their ship Voltair discovers a surprise in the crates, a human female. Jen left home for an exciting new life. Alien abduction wasn't in her plans but the red-skinned, horned alien isn't as scary as she first thought. In fact, he's kind of cute and has a great body.
I enjoyed the story and would like to read more of the series. I received a free advance copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
Valtair is a merchant falling toward the piracy side of things, when he picks up a strangely heavy box from an unsuspecting ship. Instead of holding the medical supplies he was hoping for, he finds the human Jen, who has no idea how she got there. Valtair is secretly transporting his prince to a treaty agreement. Is Jen as innocent as she seems or is she a spy?
Oh No, I Got Myself Abducted and Kissed and Alien Pirate is a short and sweet novella that doesn't take itself seriously. Things move a bit quickly, but it is a fun read that sets up a the world for the At The Alien Hotel series.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Valtair didn't consider himself a pirate. In his mind, he was still a merchant. On one such expedition, he and his brethren removed a large container. When they returned to his ship they left the container for later. Lo and behold, it wasn't just any ole container, it was a cryotube containing a human female. Her name was Jen. When Jen woke up, she felt like she had a hangover and had no idea where she was. As she examined her surroundings she realized that she had been abducted, by aliens. I laughed and laughed while reading this book. Guaranteed HEA!!
"he looks downright scary when he’s glaring at you, but when he smiles… he’s devilish. temptation incarnate"
"shes mine to protect, mine to cherish, and certainly mine to pleasure"
this was a fun quick read!! in this prequel, theres a bit of adventure in space, a quick preview of each character, some spicy scenes, an abdvct3d sassy human FMC & a hot red neat-streak alien pırate with a long tail, horns, & ridged 🍆 that all came in very handy!! looking forward to reading the next of the series ♥️♥️
This was my first book by Kate Sinner and I really enjoyed getting to know the characters and world of this series. Jen & Valtair made a fun couple and I enjoyed Valtair's two friends as well and look forward to reading the next book in the series about Sutek. I hope we get to see more of Rist in the future as well as their friend Taruk who we heard about but didn't get to know much about in this book.

Oh YES! I got myself abducted and kissed an Alien pirate!
What a fun and exciting start to an alien romance series. Oh No, I Got Myself Abducted And Kissed An Alien Pirate is a sweet, spicy, funny, and adventurous prequel novella.
What a delightful and entertaining introduction to some intriguing characters I’m sure we will meet in further books. I love the idea here and I am immediately flying right into the next book in the At The Alien Hotel series, Oh No, I Crashed A Spaceship And Kissed An Assassin!
A fun, sexy little alien romantic comedy 😃 Not too long, I'm a slow reader. Heroine is funny and likable. Hero is sweet and heartfelt ❤️ Enough drama to keep it interesting. Standalone but first part of a series, so read this one first. No spanking, I think it's overused in alien romance, so I enjoyed that 😄 Many interesting aliens were introduced Hoping to see them in future books. The names were good 👍 it is a pet peeve for me. Unimaginative names like Zog turn me off 🤷
Wonderful book! Yes it is for the 18+ crowd, it is a spicy read but a funny, HEA of a short story! If you’re going to be rescued, why not by the devil himself?! Next you’ll tell us that beings with wings are the villains- this new series looks like a great read with just the right amount of romance and spice to each book. Now, do we get to learn about what set this group of warriors on this path?
What a sweet and sexy alien romance! Jen and Valtair were so cute together, he was a gentleman pirate and she was an abducted human slated for trafficking. Kate Sinner draws you in and you are immediately engrossed and invested in the main characters. I am looking for to the new series and Jen and Valtair dropping in. Hopefully Prince Reis gets a mate next. I received this book as newsletter gift and my review is voluntary.
Valtier, an Alien, is part of a group of heroes that are now considered pirates. They are enroute to new beginnings but as they have huge prices on their heads so always worried that they might be captured at any time or betrayed. This is a short and amusing but passionate story. Jen, a human, finds herself on their ship when she frees herself from a cryo container. The characters are so engaging that you might well read the whole series even though this can be a standalone.

Cute, spicy novella that is the perfect teaser into the At The Alien Hotel series. I loved both main characters and Jen’s story was sad, but relatable. It was a great Segway into staying with Valtaire - rather than just having nothing to go back to, she had been actively trying to get away and explore before her circumstances brought her to the Bounty.
Can’t wait to dive into some more of Kate’s alien world.

What a delight was to read this prequel, it promisses to be a terrific new series! Abducted, left in crio and rescued by a sexy pirate....is there a better plot? A short but sweet and intense love story with some twists and turns ,lots of heat and the magic touch of Kate Sinner . I highly recomend!
This was the beginning of a new adventure. You get introduced to a world and characters that are seeking a new beginning. Even though Valtair considers himself as a merchant he is really a pirate on a mission. Jen was abducted and placed into a cryo chamber. When Valtair raided the ship and stole a few crates, he didn’t expect one to contain his woman. Can’t wait to read the rest of the stories.
The characters had me laughing out loud at times. They were both likeable, I loved their reactions and the steam. Valtair is likeable even though he lacks patience at times with his friends. When he brings back some 'loot' from another ship, he gets the surprise of his life when he meets Jen. Their meeting is both funny and entertaining. Great story with touching moments as well.
This was a great steamy start to a new series. The setting /situation with both Valtair and Jen really sets the stage for much more to come. After all, who doesn’t enjoy an alien love story where characters have adversity and personal challenges to overcome!.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
OK! I read this one second. This one takes Valtair and Sutek on a ship and Valtair finds something of interest. A large oblong box. Very enjoyable story. Steamy side also. I am interested to find out what the two of them set in motion. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
