All have heard the tale of Medusa, the famed gorgon with snakes for hair and of the hero Perseus who severed the serpentine monster's head. Whether born or cursed with this affliction, Medusa is consistently depicted as a foul-tempered creature with a hatred for men so fierce that a mere look petrifies them. But how did this mighty gorgon come to such a fate? Some say Medusa was vain, claiming herself more beautiful than any Goddess, some that she was borne as such, and others that she was cursed by a jealous and vengeful Goddess to live eternity in solitude. Here is a wholly new perspective of the trials and loves of the ill-fated Medusa.
