Rate this book
Part-time GED instructor Kendra Clayton's spring break is proving to be anything but relaxing. First her best friend, Lynette, suffers a major panic attack days before her wedding and vanishes. Then her sister, Allegra, who craves attention the way Kendra craves hot fudge cake, arrives in town determined to land an interview with screen legend Vivianne DeArmond for the TV show Hollywood Vibe.

But Allegra's interview plans hit a glitch when she discovers the diva's lifeless body in her dressing room, stabbed in the back with a letter opener. The police peg Allegra as the prime suspect, but Kendra knows her sister is no murderer, even if she is guilty of acting a little too friendly around Kendra's man lately.

As Kendra starts to investigate and whittle down the list of Vivianne's enemies, she uncovers some surprising Hollywood secrets. But she'll need to act fast. Because every step toward the truth puts her in danger of becoming the victim of a ruthless killer's encore performance . . .

The third book to the Kendra Clayton series, Diva’s Last Curtain Call, is full of all things that make for an enjoyable read. Fun characters, an exciting plot, humorous dialogue, and unpredictable twists and turns result in a great murder mystery by Henry.

The books picks up with Kendra still preparing for the wedding of her best friend Lynnette and still hating the Smurf-blue Maid of Honor dress. As the wedding draws closer, Kendra’s sister, Allegra, returns to town, plotting to interview the famous ex-actress VivianneDeArmond. But when Vivianne is found dead and Allegra admits to being the one who stumbled upon her body first, all fingers point to Allegra as the murderer. Once again, Kendra intervenes with her comedic investigative skills, determined to find the real killer before her sister is falsely accused.

Diva’s Last Curtain Call is a page-turner that I simply could not put down. Not many books are “laugh out loud” funny, but I literary laughed so hard that I cried over a fiasco involving a funeral home, empty caskets, and defiant teenage boys. I hands down recommend this book and look forward to reading the entire Kendra Clayton series.

Still in love with this series

In Diva's Last Curtain Call, the list of suspects unravels in perfect pace. It seems like everyone in Willow has done something connected to the murder of old time starlet Vivianne DeArmond. I kept thinking the perp was the obvious suspect, I'm sure as the author planned, and was then shocked at the revealing details.

Another great read

Gotta love Kendra and how she gets into these situations! Always trying to help, getting hurt in the process, but succeeds every time.
