yall this was good. it was short and sweet and the spice was so 🤌. lexi baby you deserved the entire world you deserved so much better, that first half and you never got to be a child. and gage… sir you had no right😮💨

Gangs, abduction, spicy, RH, strong FMC, MC, mercenaries, strangers to lovers, DV against child and parent, FMMM, emotional death of parent, torture, secret identities and twists. Wow I could not put this book down.
This has all been so well written I was on a roller coaster of emotions about what was going to happen. When I thought I knew what was going to happen it twisted the opposite way but still kept me gripped to reading.
This is a great follow on from Betrayal of the Phoenix 🐦🔥 and I can’t wait to see where we go from here.

Loved this book, was so hard to put down. All the characters captivate you and draw you in. I highly recommend this book.

A why choose, mafia romance with a sprinkle of BDSM and some captive situations that leave you wanting...
This one will have you feeling everything through multiple POV's, some strange events and also big plot twists that will have you hooked from the prologue.
With guilty indulgence having a cross over with Betrayal of the pheonix i suggest reading that to get a better sense of the dynamics. Although it is a standalone and can certainly be read as such..
With a traumatic history and past to outrun Alexis and her mother are always looking over their shoulders and living paycheck to paycheck until a devastating situation impacts them and Alexis's entire trajectory changes... But when you have lemons, you make lemonade... Or in Alexis case, use what god gave her until everything hits at once and things take many turns that assist her to not 1, not 2 but 3 extremely hot, fully protective and capable men who all want to help Alexis in every and all way!
With a fire, kidnapping, hit and runs, attempted unaliving, unaliving, family secrets and unexpected villains they must do everything possible to do what needs to be done and get back to normal.
In true HP fashion this ends with you clicking to turn the page needing to find more of the story...
Which only means we can hopefully look forward to more ...
4.5 stars and 2/5 spicy of which is mainly in the first half of the book :)

Be mindful of the TW/CW as some scenes/topics may not be suitable for some.
After Alexis and her mother finally escape their traumatic past, 10 years later they are given more devastating news, with not many options available Alexis decides to use what god gave her, in doing so, she is given an offer she can’t refuse, become Gage Sinclair’s plaything for one night, but will she live to regret it.
This is my first time reading Harley’s work and I was was pleasantly impressed. The emotion straight off the bat, poor Alexis, seriously from what she endured/witnessed from a young age to becoming an adult and getting more devastating news and experiencing more “events” my heart felt for her.
I liked the multiple POV’s getting Lexi, Gage, Ellias and Atlas perspective was enjoyable.
Overall Harley did a great job with the story/plot and characters, it all flowed really well, it had spice, twists, secrets everything to keep you busy turning the pages.

Guilty Indulgence by Harley Parker is a why choose mafia romance. I did not read „Betrayal of the Phoenix“ before reading this and there is a little cross over BUT it can definitely be read as a standalone.
Oh what a ride this novel was and I mean that in a good way. It was loaded with emotions and you felt them right along with the characters. Alexis our FMC is on the run with her mother from her traumatic past. Eventually all of this leads to Gage and two other gorgeous guys. Of course throw in adventure, spice, romance, mafia business and more.
This book was a great read and I am heading back to read „Betrayal of the Phoenix“. I can not wait for the next release.

This was my first book from Harley, and let me just say. Wow! The spice hit right off the bat and man was it spicy!
Alexis is trying to scrounge money up to help her mom, Gage needs a sub.
This story has enemies to lovers, MC, FMMM, tørture, m@fia, why choose, past tr@uma. Plot twists that will have you on an emotional roller coaster.
This was all well written, and it always kept me in edge wanting to finish and find out what happened next!

I love this story of Alexis and the different MC's in the story - Gage, Ellias and Atlas. Also enjoyed the story was told through all their POV's not just Alexis'.
I really enjoyed the story, the pace, the world building and the characters overall.
Highly recommend.

I DNF’ed at 23%
The book has bones but needs a lot of work, spelling mistakes and mixed dialogue. All small things that could easily be rectified with a good edit.
I was looking forward to this one but it just didn’t cut it.

Something out of the norm for Harley Parker. She still has her twisty flair and contains some dark themes like her other books, just spicier than what she usually writes.
Enjoyable read, and the characters are fantastic.
