My motto—Let’s get this party started. My goal—staying alive.
Recently, I was given my own sitcom and my forties were looking fabulous. My dreams were finally coming true—were being the operative word.
Of course, just when I think I might have a grip on my newly discovered Demon status, it all goes to Hell. Literally.
I’ve gone from enemies-to-lovers back to enemies with the hottest Demon alive, who also happens to be the producer on my show. What I’d like to do is never see Abaddon’s stupidly handsome face again.
Too bad, so sad. I need his help. The evil whack-job Pandora has kidnapped someone who I love and adore. That’s not working for me. At all.
With a grenade carrying Succubus, an Angel with a penchant for blue lipliner, a Demon with bigger boobs than sense, and Abaddon on my team, I’m going into the Darkness to save someone I can’t live without.
I have no clue what’s coming next, but as an actress I’m not afraid to go method. I’ve already cried my river of tears and built a bridge to get over it. I’ll cross it as a badass as I face my Immortal enemy, because in my line of work, fortune favors the Bold.
Robyn writes because the people inside her head won’t leave her alone until she gives them life on paper. Her addictions include shoes (the expensive kind), Coke with extra ice in a styrofoam cup, and bejeweled reading glasses. A former professional actress, she now lives in the south with her family and too many animals to count. Writing gives her a chance to have a job where working in her P.J.’s is acceptable. This series is weird, but in like a fun way? I highly enjoy all the hijinks that Cecily and her band of merry demons get up to. Looking forward to the next book!
Well to say the least this did not disappoint! Amazeballs is what it was!! We really need a better star rating than 5 star because this one deserves a gazillion stars! Even then that is not enough for Robyn's books!
The writing is bang on, it sucks you into the story....many times I found myself imagining some of the scenes in the book and laughing out loud. Which is usually what happens every time I read a Robyn Peterman book. I laughed, cheered and even shed some tears. A rollercoaster of emotions while reading "The Bold and the Banished". I really don't know how Robyn comes up with a book the exceeds the one before it...I would love to spend just 24 hours in her head but then again maybe I wouldn't I might get lost with all the information it contains and all the stories yet to be written.
The characters are amazing and we even have a visit from a character from the Good to the Last Death series. I love how the stories crossover characters. To pick a favourite character I really can't each of them are lovable and unique in their own way....you have to love all the characters even the evil ones.
Highly recommend if you like paranormal with a whole lot of laughs!
Thank you Robyn Peterman for letting me read an advanced digital copy. This review is my words and my words alone while not eloquent they are from the heart. Did I say "I LOVED this book!" No? Well I LOVED this book!
The Bold and the Banished Good to the Last Demon, Book 3
I Picked Up This Book Because: Continue the series.
Media Type: Audiobook Source: Hoopla via HC Public Library Dates Read: 1/23/24 - 1/24/24 Stars: 4 Stars Narrator(s): Jessica Almasy
The Characters:
Cecily Bloom Abedon The old characters plus a whole new cast of wayward demons with mostly alliterative names
The Story:
A rather action-packed installment with the promise of future romance. I’m so glad Cicley is getting her head out of her backside concerning Abedon. A blind man can see that the demon loves her. I liked the reality show aspect of the story and how it bonded Cicely to the contestants. The new demons to the party are… interesting. I can’t wait until the new family blends together with the current family. It should be fun. I’m not happy with the cliffhanger ending but I am happy this series is continuing.
I always have tons of fun reading a new Robyn Peterman, and this series is no different! This new book comes in the wake of a solid cliffhanger from the previous one, and it sure delivers!
Cecily realises the importance of being a goddess and vows to save Man-mom from the clutches of the evil goddess Pandora, along with the help of her own mother, of Candy Vargo, and of Abaddon, of course, on top of several new (and hilarious) allies! And dang, do I love Abaddon! More and more with each passing book!
True to the author's trademark, the book is full of laughs, of love, and contains some emotions that may or may not make you cry. And ends only making me want more!
No it really was not a shocker. I already figured it out. But for reference, the story was about Cecilia, trying to get her father back from Pandora. Along the way, she picked up some followers that are not loyal to her. Their antics along with their names are so over the top I can’t even be like oh my God anymore. Of course, the ending was a cliffhanger. That really is not a cliffhanger. I knew the ending was going to be a cliffhanger because of the previous books in the series. Well, I will reread this book? No do I recommend this book? Only if you have been stuck reading this entire series. You more than likely will figure it out for the last book comes out. But I like completing things.
Wow!! I absolutely could not put this book down. Robyn Peterman writes the best characters, so full of life and humor. I laughed my way through this book in the series and it had so much action and suspense it kept me from being able to stop reading!!!! A definite must BUY
Midlife has been a wild ride for Cecily Bloom. First discovering that she's half demon. Then learning her mother is none other than Lilith - but she's rolling with the punches. After she and her motley crew rescue Abaddon in book 2, his captor, the insane Pandora is supposed to be in a supernatural time out. Imagine Cecily's surprise when she gets a phone call - and Pandora is holding someone very near and dear to her.
Now she must embark on a crazy demon reality show with a rag tag group of rogue demons.
One of the things I love about Petermans books is the love you always find between the pages. Oh yes, her books are hysterically funny. But the characters - the way Cecily is able to find a way past all of the crazy things (and, lets be honest, people/demons) and find the absolute best - find a reason to love those characters. That's what keeps me coming back for more.
The goddesses seem to have a score to settle. I don't believe Cecily approves of Pandora using the one person she loves most in the world against her. But Cecily is a badass and even more so the more she learns and accepts her demon goddess heritage. It's incredibly violent and bloody in the best of ways and I think she's starting to enjoy it. Abbadon is along for the ride even tho she's unsure where they stand after what she did. But will she accept his help and support now? How about from her stalker Shiva? We get a new gaggle of demons to explore and I for one am ecstatic to know everything about them! This is shaping up to be one epic adventure with laughs on every page! Can't wait for the next one.

This is the third book in the 𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘋𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘯 series, but can be read as a standalone. I would recommend reading them in order, as it will add a lot of depth and background information.
I can’t get enough of this series. Every single book has made me laugh so hard throughout. Being nearly 40 myself, so I really connect with Cecily. I love seeing how Cecily and Lilith’s relationship is really growing and shifting 🥹 the side characters are all hilarious, and I love all their added lightheartedness and laughs.
If you’re looking for a book that has amazing characters, loads of laughs, and a side of demon drama, this series is for you. I can’t empress how much joy this series has brought me.

In the third book in Robyn Peterman’s Good to the Last Demon series an old enemy returns to wreak havoc on Cecily and her family. Cecily is trying to come to grips with her break from Abaddon when she finds out Pandora has escaped her “time out.” The threat to Cecily and her family is huge. The action that ensues is what I have come to love about a Robyn Peterman book. The action and emotional moments are interspersed with humorous dialogue and situations to keep you laughing. New characters are introduced that will hopefully continue to play a role as the series progresses. Throughout the book Cecily continues to grow. She is learning to look at the past more objectively and realize that not everything is black and white. I highly recommend this book and series to anyone who enjoys paranormal fiction liberally sprinkled with humor and heart.
I listened to the audiobook. Narrator Jessica Almasy’s voice fits Cecily perfectly. I recommend this version.
OMG Robyn Peterman is driving me crazy!!! Her latest book, The Bold and the Banished Good to the Last Demon Book 3 is off the hook!!! Our Heroine, Cecily Bloom is having an even worse time than the last 2 books She is madly in love with Abaddon, her ex Slash the jerk is being even more jerky than usual and to put the cherry on top her Dad aka Man-mom has been kidnapped by the psycho Goddess Pandora. So she gathers together her posse, yeah she has one of those now, and heads to Nevada (where else would you find the lair of an evil Goddess?). With a delightful mix of characters, especially her new posse, and a great story line sprinkled with funny lines puns and jokes, this latest installment of The Good to the Last Demon Series is the best!!! I can’t wait to see what will happen next!!
Another super fun entry in Robyn Peterman's "Good to the Last Demon" series. The books in this series are short, fairly easy, and incredibly funny stories, with subsequent books immediately following the events in the preceding one. FMC Cecily is a 40-year-old former child star seemingly poised for a comeback but who is finding much of her life derailed by her recent discovery that she is a half demon, the daughter of a demon goddess.
Here, Cecily has tapped (former?) love interest Abbadon - who is finally getting interesting - and her newly located mother for help in rescuing her father from the evil Pandora. Of course, because this is Robyn Peterman, said rescue is tinged with hilarity. Definitely worth the read.
I like these books so much more than the Good to the Last Death series. I hope it’s not just because there are only three published so far and I haven’t grown bored with the characters.
There were some revelations involving the demon’s abilities, although I could have done without one of Stella’s. The idea that demons are terrified of mice is so ridiculous that it’s entirely plausible in this setting. At least Cecily found out she doesn’t have to rhyme her spells.
I hope I’m right with my expectation concerning the ending. It should be revealed in the next book (Or should I say it had better be)
The adventure continues for Cecily Bloom in this latest installment of the Good to the Last Demon series. I really like how she is able to overcome her previous opinions of people and work together. It’s definitely a lesson for all.
Someone close to her has been kidnapped, and while she’s willing to sacrifice herself, she finds a better way to right the wrongs and stick it to Pandora. With her trusty (and not so trusty) band of demons, she has to go on a reality show that doesn’t just vote people off the island, they end up dead. Will she be able to navigate the obstacles and rescue the kidnapped? And what’s up with Abaddon?
I felt this needed some praise. I loved your previous series and that the characters are in this one too. As much as I love Daisy, Candy is just delicious, pun intended...hahaha. I am screaming right now because its only July and I have to wait 5 months. Hahaha. I love this series but this book was my fave. The scene in the control room was priceless. You are very creative and I just love your personality. You are my "bitch goddess" and true woman after my heart. Hahahaha. I am so blessed I stumbled onto you and trust me I tell everyone to read your books. I would love to sit down for coffee. Lol. Keep up the brilliant writing.
I've never laughed so much reading a story. Robyn Peterman has a gift for creating hilarious characters, situations, and showing her main female character can be badass, quirky, and vulnerable. It was.good.to.have Candy Vargo roll into this series. I truly had a hard time keeping up with the dialogue. This series is going to be like my favorite movie while watching reruns; and finding way more stuff I missed on the previous watch. Brilliant writing, and I said it before. Robyn is in a class with authors like Janet Evanovich. Just sayin ... Robyn's a badass! Can't wait for the next book.
Look, book two, I got it, it was still very soon after discovering she was a goddess so Cecily was allowed to make some mistakes and do some TSTL things. Par for the course. But she repeats multiple TSTL mistakes in this book that she learned in the last book, and more than anything else it’s annoying because we are supposed to believe that she is smart and savvy and learns from her mistakes — but here she is, literally repeating them days after the first time she made them.
It’s a catchy premise, the writing is good for what it is, and the characters are largely great… but Cecily was absolutely TSTL for most of this book, and it was deeply frustrating to read.
Wonderful women's fiction paranormal Midlife Series narrated by Jessica Almasy doing a great job of the the characters. Cecily finds out in her 40s that she is a demon after being on a sitcom most of her life. Her ex-lover and enemy is the producer on her show but has a love hate relationship with him. The evil Pandora kidnapped her loved one, a grenade carrying Succubus, an Angel with a penchant for blue lipliner, a Demon with bigger boobs than sense, and Abaddon on my team, I’m going into the Darkness to save someone I can’t live without. This has romance, suspense, humor and mystery.
Cecily Bloom is on a mission. Someone near and dear was kidnapped by none other than Pandora and Cecily must fight through unknown obstacles to rescue her loved one. But at what expense? She’s willing to sacrifice herself for the life of her loved ones. In this book we welcome four new and very interesting characters. Are they enemies or maybe just maybe allies? Gotta read it to find out. The action just keeps coming in this book. With all sorts of hilarious twists and turns. And then suddenly a tragic ending…or is it?
Pandora is back and looking for payback. She kidnaps Cecily s dad and forces her to play a demon version of the Hunger games. Cecily finds out some of her former costars and rivals are demons and will be playing with her. This is where everything goes completely haywire. Nothing and noone is as it seems and. This book will make you laugh out loud and possibly lose your last meal. There is laughs and tears and everything in between. And just when you think it's over there's more suprises. Can't wait for more.
What a great use of imagery in this book! I'm impressed with the word which flow from the fabulous Robyn Peterman. So many 'One Liners' that I laughed & laughed about, highlighted then went back to read them again and laugh some more! Cecily is thrown into another battle to save her loved one. Along the way she gets a rag tag gang of followers to help her. The abilities of the rag tag gang are even more hilarious than their names. Thank you for another opportunity of escape to this wonderful world of danger, heroes, a sexy boyfriend, puns, and one liners of epic proportions.
Cecily Bloom is a star character in this hilarious series, she shines well above everyone else and she does it with kindness, style and clumsiness. Growing into her goddess/demon powers has been a wild ride. Cecily has an amazing if not somewhat gross team at her back who are all highly entertaining. Cecily also has Abbaddon the demon of her dreams and she will never shake him, he may occasionally loose an arm or a leg when he angers her lol but demons are truly violent people. This book was hilarious, entertaining and just wonderful to read.
The Bold and The Vanished by Robyn Peterman is just one more amazing book in this series! I'm always on the edge of my seat waiting for the next one to find out what's going to happen!! And may I just add.... I truly don't believe that any narrator could do what Jessica Almacy does with Roby Peterman's characters! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. So much so that I normally wait for the Audio before I e-Read her books!!!! Then after I listen, I will e-Read, because I hear those voices in my head as I read! Just a Super Fantabulous job by you both!!; ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Cecily Bloom is an actress that finds out she is half demon Princess. Her dreams are finally coming true. She gets her own sitcom. Finds a great boyfriend who is also a demon badass and gets to finally know her mother, Lilith, Demon Goddess. The only problem? Her father has been kidnapped by the other Demon Goddess, Pandora. She is just getting to know her new powers and has the help of a bunch of crazy misfits that swear allegiance to her. Crazy, profane and funny! A typical Peterman entertainment party!
Oh for the love of great sass! This book continues the fabulous antics of Cecily and her support team, angels, demons and all. I love how Cecily is fiery in her interactions with Abaddon. Now she has new issues and new friends to help her. This is the third book in the series. You don’t need to start at the beginning to enjoy, but it is best in order to get the full effect of Cecily and her journey.
If ever you need a good laugh pick up one of Petermans books. I giggled through this entire story! I love Cecily! She just wants to be a good person and do what’s right. A child actress with a human dad and goddess for a mom she just trying to get by. Pandora has other plans and roped her into a reality death match. It’s funny light hearted with tons of violence and feel good moments. Can’t wait to see what happens in the next one!
Good vs. evil. Demons come in all varieties and the roles are easily reversed. Join Cecily and her demon allies (or are they enemies?) in the clash with the Goddess Pandora. Fabulous new characters, each with a wicked and sometimes disgusting sense of humor. But it's still hilarious and hugely entertaining. After all, Cecily IS an entertainer. Best book of the series yet! I'd love to meet the little gremlins rattling around in Robyn Peterman's head. This is brilliant!
I say that every time I finish one of this author's books. Every. Time. They're so good I read at breakneck speed! I love how she puts the most oddball characters together and makes them loveable despite how deranged, gross, or off putting they are. And the humor, suspense, and action are top-notch, too. This book has JUST been released, and I'm already twitching for the next one!
This one was a lot of fun. Some "10-year old boy" humor - fart jokes, etc. Some adult humor - lots of cursing per usual from Peterman, so just be prepared. Focus on love overcoming evil - a routine theme with this and related series. I was leaning toward 5 stars, but so much of the off-the-cuff decision making seemed over the top. Pretty hefty - but probably not surprising - cliffhanger also. Overall, a good book in an inventive series.
