huge n hulking meets sweet n curvy

Straight to the point romance! This was a quickie romance, heavy on the quick and cute, with just a dollop of tension.

I loved the heroines sweetness; she’s been watching the hero for a while, and leaves him a valentine.

The hero is a huge, burly, gruff guy who has never kissed a girl. Loved that, but would’ve preferred if the heroine ALSO knew it too. However nothing is mentioned to her. Overall, tho, it was a fun, steamy quickie that got right down to business and brought a swoony HEA

Super safe. Dual virgins. No ow/om, no sharing or cheating or abuse. HEA with epilogue years out.

Quickie review: This one really pulled at my emotions. Of course it’s the insta-love romance that Hunt writes so well. But there is also an emotional scene that is usually hard to come by in these short novellas. I was thinking maybe this will be a first for Hunt, and we don’t get the happily ever after for once. But I can joyfully report that is not the case. And what a sweet happily ever after it was! 5 stars!

When you’re new to town and you meet the man you're going to marry, nothing can turn your head. At least that is the way it was for Sunny. She has an apartment right across the street from the firehouse and sees Thor on the regular. Something about him calls to her. She knows she has to figure out how to meet him. But knows no man built like him will want a brick house like hers, you know a full-figure woman.

Here’s the thing though Thor has not had it easy. A man of his size, apparently makes women afraid of him. So, he’s nearly forty and never kissed a woman. On the day before Valentine's Day when he arrived for duty, there was a homemade, Valentine's card partly under his pillow. He had been teased so much that he thought the guys had done it. Which made him angry. He confronted them and they swore they didn't do it.

By process of elimination, they figured it was the redhead that stopped by wanting a tour. He asked them, if she did come by again to please get her name and number. His anger was still there, he decided to go out back, to get some air. It's where he could think, to get his brain on straight. When he looked to the sky for answers. In doing so scanning the area of the apartment across the way a woman was on the balcony that met the description the guys gave him. When their eyes met she waved. With a smile.

He crossed the street and said you did it. You made me the card. Why. So starts their meet-cute. This was a sweet Valentine's story.

A Valentine for the Growly Firefighter is the third installment of Kate Hunt’s Chiseled & Curvy series. In this age-gap romance, readers witness the romantic journey of Sunny and Thorn. Thorn is a confirmed bachelor. Sunny is a young woman living near the fire station. From her apartment she watches Thorn. She is attracted to him. On Valentine’s Day, she visits the station requesting a tour. When no one is looking she slips a Valetine’s Day card onto Thorn’s pillow. He is stumped as to who would have given him the card. Then one day as Thorn is in the alley he sees Sunny watching him from her apartment window. Immediately he senses she is the one who gave him the card. He calls out to her and soon he is at her apartment. What will the outcome of this meeting be? Will these trust in Fate and be receptive to their romantic feelings? To find out, you must read this Valentine’s Day romantic short story.

In this contemporary age gap romance, readers discover a basic romantic plot lie of girl meets boy and what follows with the ups and downs as they navigate their romantic journey together. The dialog moves this story along revealing the lead characters’ true character.

Plot: Sunny has a crush on the big, sexy fireman, Thorne. When she leaves him a Valentine's card, he tracks her down, and it turns out they've both been waiting for each other.

Love It!!

"A Valentine for the Growly Firefighter" is like a shot of espresso for your heart – it wakes you up and warms you right through. Picture this: Thorne, this big, gruff firefighter dude who's basically a teddy bear on the inside, and Sunny, a curvy redhead who's got her eye on him from across the street. It's like a slow burn meets insta-love, and man, does it work!

So, Thorne's never been much of a ladies' man, mostly 'cause his size intimidates folks. But when Sunny slips a homemade Valentine under his pillow, it's game on. The chemistry between them crackles like a bonfire, and you can't help but root for these two. Plus, there's this emotional depth that catches you off guard – you're laughing one minute, tearing up the next. And let me tell you, that happily ever after? It's like a warm hug on a cold night – satisfying and heart-melting. Five stars from me, no doubt! 🌟🔥

The cutest story. Sunny was perfect for Thorne. OMG the sweet story took a turn to some unexpected heartbreaking moments but thankfully it was temporary and they moved on with their happy ending.

Hopeless Romantic 🥰

Thorne and Sunny love ❤️ story is so cute. They fall in love so fast. It’s so scary when she goes into labor and they’re both in trouble. It turns out good in the end.

Had potential until the last few chapters.
Of course he knocks her up, she has issues and ends up in a coma. Just what I want to read about.

Short and sweet, but it would be better if the topic was developed into a novel.
