When Gabriel transitions into a Gift, he finds himself wishing he could go back to the way things no prestige, no pressure, but most importantly, no opportunities to fail more than he already has. When a new girl and her brother move in next door, he can’t help but notice how different in every way she is to him. It isn’t until Dyla discovers his deepest secret that everything starts to change.
Dyla on the other hand is a Curse with a past she would rather leave behind and hide away from what she truly is. When she and her brother move into the house next to a Gift, the need to hide becomes even more apparent. This becomes more difficult when Gabriel keeps showing up, threatening to break down the walls she has carefully built.
Can both Gabriel and Dyla move past their misconceptions, or will the deep roots of the Gift Society keep them trapped in what is “normal”?
