June 13, 2024Well, this is something...not sure yet how I feel about it.
Anyway, second-chance romance + secret baby. Keaton's (50) son was Lily's (24) ex, who cheated on her. So she wanted to take her revenge by sleeping with her ex's father. They met at a bar that led to their ONS, but she snuck out the next day because she felt guilty for using him.
Four years have passed (both celibate); she now has a daughter and has been newly hired to be an assistant. Little did they know they're gonna meet on her first day. As it turns out, Keaton bought the company she was going to work at, and he'll be her boss.
They talked right away, but since this is a novella, it led to them picking up where they left off, and the next thing I knew, everything that happened afterwards was spice after spice. 😂
Anyhoo, it was okay, for once it had somewhat sort of a plot 😂 and again I have to condition myself that their age gap is only 15 instead of 26. 😬

A Secret Baby for My Ex's Dad, part of the Forbidden Daddies series, was about 50-year-old Keaton James, the billionaire owner and CEO of Artemis Finance, and 26-year-old Lily Brown, a secretary and single mom.
Lily had been dating Bryce for 4 years when he proposed to her. At 22 and still in college, they had decided to tie the knot after graduation. However, when she caught him in bed with her roommate six weeks after he proposed to her, her world imploded. Determined to have her revenge, she decided to sleep with his father.
The story skipped ahead from their first meeting at a club he frequented (Keaton and his son hadn't had a good relationship, so she never met him in all the time they had dated) to four years and one unexpected baby later. Having given him a fake name the night they met, she had never expected to see him again. However, she found herself working as his secretary. At first, it didn't seem as though he recognized her, but the moment they were alone, he demanded to know why she had disappeared from his life. Two days later, Keaton met his four-year-old daughter for the first time.
This was another quick read that had no angst, no drama, and was over almost before it began. Unlike its predecessors, though, it wasn't half bad. While the author warned there would be typos and errors, I wasn't expecting her to make the even bigger mistake of describing the FMC's attire, and then a few paragraphs later saying she was wearing something else entirely. and once again, the timeline was off by the end of this story. It blew my mind that the author couldn't remember the age(s) of the character(s) she created.
It could have easily received a higher rating if the author had taken care of the errors, but that being said, it only earned two stars.

Another quick read
This was probably my favorite of the authors books, mainly because the FMC was over 21 and not a virgin. The MMC was late 40s when they meet and they have a shared backstory.
The sexy sexy times were well written and very steamy. And, while this might not be my kink, I do appreciate the reference that the men feel for the women. It’s nice to read.

Jade Swallow's "Secret Baby for My Ex's Dad" was quite good. Lily gets dumped by her boyfriend because he doesn't like her body. She goes out and has a fling unknowingly with her ex's father. Lily gets pregnant. A few years later, she ends up working for him. There's a lot of spice, but this story also details schmilk schmink. Keaton goes to town, like for real. There are several scenes.

Although I did enjoy the book, there was a lot of errors in it making me confused. A thorough grammar and spell check is required.
In some of the chapters it jumped around also not consistent with what was previously written. Not sure if this ghost writing or the author forgot her own story?

for me
This book was interesting. I kind of don’t like how it seem in the end the dad and son are cool but before then the son is portrayed as horrible more than just the cheating. Overall not bad but didn’t like some parts. 3/5
