The Easter Bear

Rate this book
Meet Finn, the bear with a big dream—becoming the Easter Bunny! But with hops that shake the forest floor and less-than-pawfect basket-weaving skills, he has his work cut out for him. Finn's creativity and determination lead to an egg-traordinary surprise, proving that Easter magic comes in all shapes and furry sizes.

This engaging story addresses important lessons like facing challenges, self-belief, and perseverance. With whimsical text and vibrant, painterly illustrations, it's the perfect addition to any home, classroom library, or Easter basket.

While other bears want to be fishermen or beekeepers, Finn really wants to be the easter bunny when he grows up. But bears can't be easter bunnies; it just isn't done.

The premise might be silly, but this book is very well done. The illustrations are charming and festive, and the word count and layout highly appropriate for the target audience. I love Finn and the way he both relies on his natural talent and works hard. Overall, this is a perfect festive read that's appropriate for home and school settings.

Thank you to the author and BookSirens for this ARC. All opinions are my own.

The Easter Bear is a holiday story, but one with a message that can be enjoyed all year round. When an adorable young bear has his heart set on becoming the next Easter 'bunny,' he works hard to complete all of the necessary tasks to achieve his dream.

The holiday of Easter is really just the underlying theme of this wonderful story. The real focus is the importance of life skills such as perseverance, dedication, and belief in oneself. This story shares with young readers the possibility of achieving the impossible, when you work hard and have faith in your journey. The book also has a playfulness in the absurd… a little cub as an Easter bear? Who ever heard of such a thing. I can already hear the giggles for this delightful read-aloud.

Read this to my daughter last night. She loved the pictures and the bun buns. The story is about a Bear who's dream it is to be the Easter Bunny, it was very cute and perfect for easter or leading up to easter. It taught the importance that it's not nice to laugh at other people's dreams and that no matter who or in this case what you are you can always make your dreams a reality if you work at it and don't give up.

I loved this story about a bear who wanted to be an Easter Bear. Despite being made fun of by classmates, with his parent's support he studied for his tests and was able to achieve his dream! The illustrations are bright and cheerful and fit right in with a springtime/easter theme. Wonderful story to share with youngsters!

Thank you to BookSirens for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I'd give this book 6 stars if that were possible. But, as this book demonstrates the impossible IS possible! What I love most about this book is that the idea is completely, 100% new. It's such an enchanting story of perseverance. And unlike most books out now, there's no hidden agenda (or any agenda in plain sight) about needs, fitting in, body types, hair color, or anything of the sort. It's a genuinely amazing story that will be around for generations.
