A fun, fast, fantastical After an altercation with a clown, I get lost in the woods and find a strange town. When the librarian of the town dies in front of me, I try on his ring. It fits. I’m declared the new librarian by the mayor and townspeople. I get to live in a houseful of books. But I soon learn the job involves more than just tomes and information. (Horror Comedy & Fantasy). That's how it all started in book 1
Book 6: the librarian of the supernatural town of Eden, faces his greatest challenge yet when a powerful being abducts residents in what turns out to be an act of revenge. With the help of his hellhound companion, Fluffy, and his allies (the ghostbusters, the witch Olive, and the werewolf) Rip Van Winkle, Kevin must confront the monster and prevent it from exacting its revenge on Eden. Meanwhile, Kevin grapples with his own destiny as the anti-Christ and the looming threat of Armageddon. Balancing his duties as Eden's protector and navigating complex family dynamics (complicated by the fact most of his family lives in hell), Kevin must make difficult choices to save his town and the world from destruction.
I write supernatural horror suspense comedy (a mix of dark humor, quirky, silly humor and satire.), .
I love many kinds of stories. I especially love off-beat, quirky stories with unusual characters and settings that have a sense of wonder and humor.…Falling in love with stories saved me from a life of crime (I’m only sort of kidding; they did save me from something). A lot of my main characters are adopted. Like them, I was adopted. I seem to write often about identity. I live in Austin, Texas. I have no horses or cowboy hats. I do have a 125 pound sheep dog. I’ve taught college, been a bartender and waiter and am now a full-time writer.
I've had five novels traditionally published and something like fifteen independently published. My independently published series, Strangely Scary Funny, is, by far, my most popular.
I like writing most anything. My grocery lists are excellent.
This kindle ebook novel is from my Kindle Unlimited account book six of twelve
A monster is in the village and the family is planning a war. Evan is in the middle as always. He manages to work it all out leading to a happy ending. 👨❤️💋👨
I would recommend this series and author to readers of fantasy world 🌐 family and friends relationships adventure novels 🙃👀 2025 🎉👒
I really like the books but each one gets worse with the errors. Missing words, misspelled words, wrong words. It has it all. It reads like the author dictates instead of types and doesn’t go back to proofread. I’ll keep reading because he’s a great storyteller but the mistakes are really distracting. Especially when the gender or name is wrong. I have to reread to be sure who is being referred to. If it was better edited I’d give 5 stars. Very entertaining and funny.
The plot moves along the characters grow, develop and the waters get muddy. It is comforting to see that Yansky is working hard to progress and enhance this story. Everyone the Librarian encounters has a story and their story is part of the story. There comes a point where it is hard to process a large amount of adjacent characters and the way that Yansky pulls it off is brilliant. We have come to know most of the major players in the town of Eden, we know that most not what they seem and when their uniqueness is revealed we already are comfortable with their presence and they feel more like strange neighbours than new entities that we have to process and categorize. That is good writing. I appreciate that these stories are not drawn out and yet the pace is not overwhelming. The Librarian continues to become a better Librarian and the power of the written word manifests itself more in each installment.
A few pages into the first book I knew I was hooked! I needed something to help me unwind from the drama of every day life. This series was what I needed as a sci-fi, comedy, quirky "Gemini " reader. My taste in literature depends on the day of the week, the weather, my mood, the phase of the moon....etc. If you need a break from your usual literary diet, take a small bite of this...you just might like it.
I really wish I didn’t have to step out of the story to wonder why Lucy, who explicitly wasn’t there, was suddenly in the list of people taking action or why Walt was suddenly and randomly referenced in the middle of an unrelated statement, but the characters and the interesting and generally unexpected story keep me plowing ever forward. On to book 7 to hopefully hear more about the town’s unexpected new residents…
I really like the Librarian books. They are a cozy read. What is somewhat annoying is the number of mistakes in the text. Random words show up, that makes no sense. Almost like the writer use some voice to text programme, or are plagued with a serious bout of autocorrekt. The author would do well to let a couple of people read through the books before publishing
Like these characters a lot . They are developing in each story. All the crazy fantasy creatures and the scary things they can do. Supernaturals good and bad. Impossible situations that take you to the edge😫.And lets you down kinda easy All the time the big battle looming. IYKYK Gotta go the next book is waiting.
Again the authors imagination is astounding. It mixes the fake with the real and legend. I have read all the books so far and have really enjoyed and this one was a particular page turner. Can’t wait for the next book in the series!
But that’s ok, it means that there is more story to tell, and Yansky is a good story teller. Kevin continues to walk that balance between Heaven and Hell, protecting humanity trapped in between.
I'm on book six so far, and I'll be honest with you. The story keeps getting better. The characters are well written, and the fast-paced storyline is great. You won't be disappointed if you like to laugh
Great storyline and characters, but the frequent typos and inconsistencies, with characters appearing out of nowhere, only to morph into another character, is a constant struggle for the reader. Your books and your readers deserve better editing.
I have enjoyed all of the Librarian books. I especially like the characters in Eden. Good old fashioned supernatural storytelling that is light and humorous. But what happened to the pig? JK
This book wasn't my favorite in the series so far, but it was MUCH improved by the way of grammar mistakes than the other books. There were still quite a few mistakes but not nearly as much as the others. Humor was very good in this one as well.
Still trying to stop Armageddon the librarian has to stop a monster from killing the witches and himself of course. Also his father the devil and his family get the devil's book published
My daughter told me about The Librarian books and I have enjoyed every one. Interstate characters, strange happenings and so many wild ideas. Can't wait to see what's next.
As people start disappearing and a monster takes revenge on Eden, Kevin needs to come up with a plan to save the town. He has to do this while also putting Karl's plans on the back burner and stop Armageddon.
I feel like this is the kind of book my little brother would write, if I had one. The characters are getting increasingly complex, especially, Fluffy. I've been reading this series through Kindle Unlimited. Now, I have to download book 7.
I have read all the books up to this point and they don't disappoint. Funny and interesting characters and great story line. Keep them coming! I'm on to the next.
Absolutely loved this whole series & looking forward to new books in the Eden universe. Funny, silly, and sweet with a side of fire & brimstone makes for great adventures.
