Stone World

Rate this book
Rick Stiles loved his simple Florida beach guiding tourists around the swamp and then spearfishing offshore for a fresh catch dinner. But when Rick comes to the surface after a dive and finds that everyone on Earth has turned into stone, his laid back life is over. Luckily he finds a fellow survivor, the beautiful waitress Jasmine Rhodes, and the two set out together into the ominous quiet of a stone world.

Rick is a survivor, but his skills will be put to the test against other survivors in a lawless world. He knows that just making a life in these conditions will be tough, but as the mysterious source of the stone phenomenon reveals itself, nothing can prepare him for what’s next.

Thank you for providing us with another exceptional series. We truly appreciate your contribution.

Well, well, well! Look who's got a fancy new series on their hands. How delightful! It seems we're in for a treat with a touch of uniqueness. Bravo to Mr. Jacobs for kicking off this promising series with a bang. Now, dear sir, I must implore you not to keep us waiting in suspense for too long. You see, I typically prefer to have a few books under my belt before diving into a series, but I simply cannot resist the temptation of devouring these as soon as they hit the shelves. Prepare for me to gobble them up voraciously!

5 stars for the novelty of the concept and a well thought out MC. Just a couple of minor falts: 1. you can't see a bullet in flight as the MC claimed at one time. 2. A firearms recoil does NOT affect accuracy, the bullet is out of the barrel before you actually feel the kickback. If it seems like this is the case your are flinching - anticipating the shot or pulling the trigger too hard.

Good Book

I really loved reading this. The plot was great, the action fast paced. That's what really gets me to read books. The only problem I had was the fact that there are no Army bases near where the book transpires, in fact there are no army bases in Florida. Granted it's a work of fiction and it's probably not picky, but for us military type people it's something to consider. It was still a great book to read and I'm really looking forward to the series.

Brilliant and fun!

Just wanting to relax in nature, take a dive and do some spear fishing... That is until aliens decide to ruin the day by kick starting the apocalypse.

The silent invasion, survival and horror at what has become of the world, and the quest to find survivors and reunite with family has you sitting in the edge of your seat, eager for more!

War of the Worlds meets Apocalypse

Love this book and am guessing the series will get better and better!
If you breathed the natural air, you are Stoned! Or turned to stone. Otherwise it’s a jungle out there as Rick battles human idiots and raging crocs in sunny Florida! East Coast represents! This is a fun read. Keep up the great series Logan!

Pretty interesting apoclypse story

A unique invasion method. Turn humans into stone via an airborne pathogen. Then send in unmanned drones to start phase two. Most humans get wiped out and the remaining ones go feral in a hurry. Yet where there's life there's a way. Still, the survivors will have something to say about being invaded and attempting to purge humanity.

great new universe

Logan Jacobs has once again made a new unique universe. The main character has to deal with bull gators, meth heads, and a bunch of killer drones, all while trying to survive and save his sister! If you like your men’s harem adventure with a healthy dose of Sci-fi, you will love this book!

I couldn't put it down. Cost me most of a nights sleep

Alien invasion thriller. 99.9% of people are instantly turned to stone. But none of the infrastructure is damaged. The rest is a fairly standard survival story but it is well written with a relatable MC.

War of the worlds with pretty girls!

An interesting plot in this series. Good action, fast moving and good characters make reading easy and fun. The setting is familiar with several relatives in central Florida and having visited Disneyland many times! On to the next book!

An easy to follow storyline. The plot is an interesting approach to an alien attack. The characters are well developed and action scenes are realistic. Well worth reading!

a very good start

I liked the way that it started and the way that it progressed. I liked the way it had a war of the world’s theme to it.

Great start for a series.

Aliens heroes warrior women. Logan writes good stories. A bit repetitive but usually with good blending. Looking forward to reading more.

Editing required

Just so you know, Scuba tanks Do Not contain Oxygen, just Air. I know it's just to make the story more interesting, but you know Some Accuracy is Good.

Now this is a great story. Rick was diving in the ocean and when he came up, all the people had been turned to stone. It seems like the world is under attack. This is a must read.

I love a good apocalypse story. EMP, Virus/Zombies, Celestial, Worldwide war. For me, this is a new take, and I am finding it enjoyable. The characters are fleshed out enough, but not so much that my mind is gradually "getting to know" them as I go. It takes place in a real location (Florida, USA), and I enjoy following their journey on the map. Overall, I'm looking forward to the rest of the story.
