Wow this book was really short and really dark. I could not put it down . This little novella is not for the faint of heart. The detailing of everything in the book was on point .At times I felt like I could actually see the scenes playing out before me. I can’t wait to read what happens next !

At Under 60 pages or around an hour listen time. This book packs a really dark punch.

Highly recommend not going into it blind. It had a lot of potential. I just would have liked for it to be longer.

I probably wasn’t paying attention when I signed up for an arc or maybe I read the information for Scythe as I thought this was a Dark Romance. It is not. Although it’s erotic horror it’s not dark romance. My bad! Haha!

Anyway, I love dark romance. I love anything that would make people question my mental state if I told them what I was reading but there were things in this one that truly grossed me out 😂 but seeing as I wasn’t paying attention I’m rating this book based on someone that would pick up a erotic horror to be fair.

The story kept my attention and i definitely wanted to know what happens next. The erotic part was hot 🔥 and bloody🩸and 🔪 and and 🧠 and ✌️ IYKYK

If you love super dark, twisted, sexy but minus romance this one is for you!

Overall Thoughts: I thought I was prepared for this book, but I was not. I’m kind of glad it was just a novella, cause there is a lot that happens, and as the warning says there is not a happy ending, and this is not a dark romance. It is a erotic horror and there are plenty of triggers, even for us dark romance girlies, this one is up there towards my limit. That being said, it was entertaining and well written. The narration was also top notch and it also has sound effects like a graphic audio, and I think some of those sounds are what got me. Jaclyn was stupendous as Erin, a vigilante obsessed with blood and revenge. Sean and James who I love when they are paired together, do an amazing job as the various male characters, even thought the main focus is on Erin, they are integral to the narration.

NOTE: This is not a dark romance, it is an erotic horror story. Please read the TWs/CWs, your mental health is important, and this should be taken seriously. Do not come at the author if you neglect to heed the warnings.

WOW! What a trip this was! But, ngl, I didn’t love Erin at first. There was just something about her that rubbed me the wrong way, though I couldn’t quite pinpoint what. But the deeper I read, the more I realized how much more there was to her. My initial annoyance shifted into something closer to reverence. Truthfully, I understand Erin more than I probably should admit 👀😬

Ravenous might look like a short, sweet novella on the surface, but it’s anything but. It packs a serious punch, especially that ending. I ran right off that cliff without ever seeing it coming, and I’d do it again and again (because apparently I don’t learn 🤦‍♀️).

Unlike many novellas, this one didn’t leave me feeling like I was missing a huge piece of the story by the end. I applaud J.M. Elliott for keeping the story so focused while still providing enough depth and detail that I forgot I was even reading a novella.

I can’t wait for Scythe and Brotherhood—I need more Erin!

Ravenous is a short novella and serves as a pre-prequel to the Brotherhood series. This erotic horror with psychological thriller elements is filled with dark and explicit scenes. The story centers on Erin as she seeks vengeance against those who murdered her best friend. These criminals exploit women for drug smuggling, and Erin's pursuit of revenge takes a dramatic turn, leaving the novella on a suspenseful cliffhanger. This novella will be continued in" Brotherhood " the prequel of Scythe.

Overall, the novella was a brief and fast-paced read with a lot of intensity. Erin's character is depicted quite darkly throughout the story. While I enjoyed it, there were parts that were quite triggering for me, so I recommend paying close attention to the trigger warnings before diving in.

This is on a new level of what I can’t even think! Erotic horror, mind blowing, triggering for sure, grab hold of all your strength and push through because I forewarned you.
I can see why she does what she does, safety of the club girls who work for them.
I liked the twins. They were her back up support system and party buddies.
I get the heat that she feels with her kidnappers. I think it’s her adrenaline running on extremes.
Cliffhanger! No spoilers
We didn’t see that coming for sure! This story is very different than any I have read. I want so much more! I feel like I was in a Chainsaw movie and I was the one that got away! Breathe just Breathe.
We’ll just have to see how this goes in the next book installment that coming.

Ravenous is a short quick novella that is extremely dark, twisted, and cruel. You absolutely need to check your trigger warnings with this one before reading. This was dark psychological thriller, erotic horror.
Someone murdered Erin's best friend and she plans to get to the bottom of it. As Erin is seeking her vengeance, she finds out that doctors are using women to smuggle drugs in their body.
Even though it was gory/splatterpunk, I couldn't stop or put it down. It is very graphic and oh so spicy!! Erin is a badass.
This story ends on a cliffhanger and I cant wait to see what happens next.

Let me start with I LOVE GRAPHIC AUDIOS.

This was a QUICK BLOODY HOT graphic audio!! Narrators/performers were perfection! 😍

I love erotic horror so much and this unhinged piece of art was so enjoyable. I finished it in a couple hours. I know erotic horrors pretty much always shock you with who lives or dies, but I did not expect our twins to go so quickly. 🫠

Our FMC is an absolute fighter, and I live for a bad ass FMC. I know we aren’t supposed to like the psychos…. But damn it. Big Viper daddy psycho had me hot. Yes, there’s something wrong with me and my reading preferences, I’ve accepted it. I love it here. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Im ready for what’s next for our bad ass girl Erin.

Ravenous by J.M. Elliott is an erotic horror that I listened to on audio narrated by James Cassidy, Jaclyn Kelso and Sean Masters.

This is the first book of J.M.'s that I have read and it won't be my last. This novella was fast paced and the ending left me begging for more. I can't wait to read Brotherhood so I can get more of Erin's story.

James, Jaclyn, and Sean did an amazing job on this immersive audiobook. They all really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you're looking for an erotic horror, splatterpunk, or psychological thriller.

Holy s***!!! When the author said dark, she meant DARK, when she said check your triggers if you’re sensitive- definitely check them!! This book was PERFECTION, and I LOVED it. I can’t wait for the Brotherhood and I’m most excited because it’s in dual POV. One thing I need from a book is getting inside all the main characters head. So I’m excited to see that in the next book. And I’m looking forward to Scythe!

So this book was short but really spicy.... I will say I didn't get a little SA ( Satan's affair.) Vibes but with that being said, I do like how she turned this short story into her own. A vengeful vigilante and her boy toys rain terror on corrupt individuals and have fun while doing so until they no longer can. No h.e.a for the men but this is just the beginning for her.

For being a short, prequel story it's packed full of detail and certainly was spicy. Well done. It is a very dark book, I would put it up there with Yolanda Olsons "bones" for some of the darkest I've read that left me speechless. Content warning still didnt prepare me haha. Either way I loved this book. Sibby vibes with some dexter justice system. I need it and the rest to follow!

Please make sure to check the triggers before delving into this world but let me tell you, Its dark but in a good way. The female lead is the right and perfect amount of mess around and find out. This novella you can read and finish during lunch, but you will be craving more. I for sure wasnt ready for it to just end. This story was so pitch black, dark and twisted. This is not a romance by any means. Very short and quick read, and it makes you excited for the next book to come out so you can keep going. OOHHHHH you read the trigger warnings and are still not prepared. First page has you hooked and trying to figure out WTH is happening. The trauma inflicted to MANY in this very short prequel novella to the rest of the series has you demanding more. Blood, gore, twisted things that keep you reading to wonder how much further JM Elliott will push this then the book CLIFFHANGERS ! Dying to read the next in the series !! The basic story is of a woman trying to avenge her friends death by drs who are seducing them to smuggle drugs.
But when she finds how she goes red with rage to find them all and eliminate them one by one

i love erotic horror, but toss an unhinged fmc in the mix, and im obsessed. she’s a badssa on a justice/revenge journey and i was living for itttttt.

i knew going on there’d be no HEA, and i think that prevented me from getting attached to the boys. 😅
