Carol is getting letters from someone. She doesn't know who it is. A letter covered in blood. She laughs it off as just a Halloween prank. Then, she gets the letter with the picture inside. A dead animal hung to her door. She tells her sister, Tory, and she thinks they are all just TRICKS being played on Carol. Are they? Her friend, Marsha, is going to have this huge Halloween party. Carol is very excited... but frightened at the same time. At the party the TRICKS stop and the murder begins. This is the complete collection of the Tricks series by Matthew Leeth.

So I won this book and then got very busy at work. So busy I was working up to 70 hours a week. The entire time my oldest son is asking can I read Tricks can I read Tricks. So I said yes. He was so excited that he took the book and read it as fast as he could. Today he said "Mom I finished Tricks! I loved it!" It is all he has been able to talk about. He said "Mom you need to read this book and read it soon!"

He said that this book is very thrilling! Then asked me if there will be any more books in this series? I think he has found a new author to read! :-)

This was an ARC of the book,so it isn't fully completed yet,so it hasn't been edited at all. So it did have some mistakes. Over-looking those mistakes,since it is an ARC. This book of 3 short stories is very good.

I won this book in a Good reads contest. The book was a very quick read. The copy I won was a proof, so it did have some mistakes that I am sure will be fixed before finally publication. I don't know if I am jaded from too many horror films, but I was expecting to be a little more frightened.

This would have been 5-stars if it didn't read like really bad fan fiction... the writing wasn't very good... if the writing was better and the story more fleshed out... this could have been a scary horror book...

I enjoyed the book until I got to the end of the book, it ended terribly and had no main focus. I wouldn't recommend this book.
