Find Me was FANTASTIC! So far, I am a huge fan of Zane Alba Mysteries. I know, It's only book two, but these books are great. They are an easy/relaxing/stress free read and they totally kept me interested throughout the entire book. Zee David can do more with 136 pages than many others do with twice that. The actual case that Zane is working on throughout this book was great. It kind of gave me Law and Order vibes (the good ones... not the older boring episodes), except Zane's background story and the characters are so much deeper. I loved learning more about Zane's and Amelia's background. The flashbacks Zane had throughout were great and explained so much. I also want to know more about Ira; she seems like an interesting character. Also, I really am looking forward to book number 3, I have a really good feeling that its going to be a great one. Zane's backstory meets the front story with some undercover work... I can't wait! I hope Zee David continues writing this series for many more books after this one.
This is such a gripping mystery novella, it kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The story follows Detective Zane Alba as she navigates a complex web of connections and secrets while investigating a series of seemingly unrelated cases. Each chapter dives deeper into the intricate layers of the investigation, unraveling hidden motives, unexpected alliances, and dark secrets.
The characters are well-developed and multi-dimensional, each with their own personal struggles and motivations that add depth to the story. Zane, in particular, is a great protagonist because her internal struggle and determination to uncover the truth make her relatable and engaging. .
I loved the twists and turns, they kept me guessing at every turn about the investigations. The story's pacing is great, it maintains the suspense and intrigue. The camaraderie and dynamics within the investigation team add another layer of depth to the story, making it easy to connect with the characters on a personal level.
Overall, this is a great blend of mystery and suspense. Definitely a page-turner that will leave you craving more!
I liked this story that starts out as a missing dog assignment that leads to the murders of wedding bridesmaids. I enjoyed the main character and her troubling past that she wishes to avenge in a possible third book. Good read.
The story seems straight out of a CSI episode if there were an international version. Some of the punctuation and wording errors could stand a bit more editing but otherwise a solid storyline.
