And now, more than ever, their relevancy is at stake, as the most powerful Deveraux witch there ever was, returns from the grave.
Passion, magic, and intrigue clash in the third installment of The Unnatural Brethren series by USA TODAY Bestselling Author Silvana G. Sánchez!
*** Contains some mature situations, and is recommended for 17+. This is the third book in a series and the story will continue through future books ***
USA TODAY Bestselling Author Silvana G. Sánchez weaves tales of forbidden love and redemption. Her pen blurs the lines between good and evil, writing compelling heroes and irresistible villains with a heart of gold. She lives her own happily ever after with her dashing prince, Eric, and darling son, David, in their home in the mystical city of Guadalajara, Mexico. Don’t be afraid to drop her a line. She doesn't bite. Not always, anyway.
This is going to be hard to articulate without giving away MAJOR spoilers but here goes.
The Unnatural Brethren series is amazing in it's own right but Cast in Blood captivated me from page one and enthralled me from then on.
There were i.m.o. 5 bomb shells but definitely 3 MAJOR ones that I refuse to spoil but O.M.G they are doozie's! Two for Ivan and an exciting MAJOR one for Cassandra.
Ivan's journey through this had my emotions all over the place. One minute my heart was breaking then the next I wanted to wring is dang neck. He is so gullible. Let's just say I don't trust who he's trusting because what they've done throughout the book. Poor dumb Ivan is my perception as of now.
Cassandra on the other hand, is just precious and she really has a hard time for awhile until someone comes into her life and brings her happiness again. Then someone she comes to love does something truly despicable to her and her world is shattered yet again. She's just on the verge of righting to wrong done to here, damned be the consequences, and then........the cliffhanger.
Usually I can patiently await the next in series but not this time. When I read that last word I instantly craved book 4!
It's so good you'd never know it's almost a 400 page ebook. Worth every penny and than some. Out of 5 stars....easily 150! I HIGHLY recommend buy with one click or and to cart instantly. You won't regret it. Silvana Sánchez's books are golden.
The Unnatural Brethren book 3, Cast in Blood is a magical addition to the series with Witches, Shifters, and Vampires in Paris. When Ivan life tangles with the witches again things are more than they seem and he goes to the summons with more than the Witches could imagine.
I have enjoyed this series so far and book three is by far my favorite. Silvanas writing is addictive and truly captures your attention throughout the story with her characters, suspense and a story that keeps you wondering.

This is my first foray into this series, and while I may have appreciated more if I had read the previous 2 books, I found it easy to play catch up and enjoy the story. I loved the array of supernaturals in the story, and remain very intrigued by the shadow being and I really need to know what is going to happen there. Tns going on, fast paced and well constructed I really enjoyed this one.
This book begins with Ivan Lockhart's deceased brother, Viktor, gone for 300 years, sitting in the shadows with water puddling under him, warning Ivan that it was time for Ivan to “pay his dues” for leaving him to drown in the lake. (I had goosebumps running up and down my arm!)
While Ivan is dealing with his dread of Viktor, trying to convince himself that he could never come back from that kind of “dead”, he gets summoned to Paris to deal with the Deveraux witches. And Viktor follows along with him like a dreadful curse. With all the supernaturals clashing with each other, will anyone come out the victor? Or will all be overcome by the most powerful Deveraux witch returning from the grave?
I always enjoy Ms. Sanchez' work, it was another great entry in the Unnatural Brethren series and from Ms. Sanchez. The characters were great and I enjoyed reading this.

Cast In Blood is the 3rd book in The Unnatural Brethren Series by Silvana G. Sanchez.
As this is such a stunning series and it just keeps getting better and better, I can honestly say that it's getting harder and harder to write my review without giving anything away and giving away any MAJOR spoilers. But I am going to do my best.
Cast in Blood enthralled me from word one and it kept me captivated from that point on. In my opinion there were at least 5 bomb shells that Silvana drops in this book but 3 of them were MAJOR ones that I refuse to spoil. But I am going to tell you that they are humdingers! Two of them do impact Ivan and one of the MAJOR one's is going to sideswipe Cassandra. You are going to scream when you read these bomb shells.
The journey that this book takes Ivan on is a roller coaster of emotions. One second my heart is shattering and the next I want to smack Ivan upside the head. I found Ivan to be so inexperienced. The thing is, I don't trust who Ivan's been trusting because of all the things that I've seen them do throughout this book. Right now, I see Ivan as poor gullible Ivan.
On the other hand, we have Cassandra. She's just as precious as she appears and I find that she really does have a hard time trusting anyone until they've been in her life for a while and they manage to bring some happiness in her life again. Sadly, it seems that same person she has come to love can just as easily do something truly repulsive to her and we watch as her world and her heart is splintered all over again. And just as she's on the verge of righting all the wrongs that have been done to her, consequences be damned......
I can normally be a patient woman when I am reading a series. But, this time, I am getting jittery just waiting to get my hands on the 4th book. I need to get my hands on it like I need air to stay alive.
That cliffhanger has me biting my nails, or at least in my case gumming my nails as I don't currently have my dentures in. This book while it comes in at almost 400 pages, it doesn't feel like it and it is worth every page, worth every second, worth every moment of reading. But the cliffhanger still has me reeling.
I can't recommend Silvana G. Sanchez's books enough. You are not going to regret reading this series. But you need to read this series in order in order to understand what has previously happened and it will give you a better understanding of all the characters.
Cast in Blood is everything I crave in a supernatural thriller—an atmospheric Parisian setting, haunted pasts, intense power struggles, and a delicious blend of dark magic and simmering tension. Silvana G. Sánchez knocks it out of the park again with this third installment of The Unnatural Brethren series!
Ivan Lockhart’s struggle with his brother Viktor’s ghost adds an emotional layer to this already gripping tale. The way Viktor continues to haunt Ivan both literally and figuratively had me on edge. As if that wasn't enough, the Deveraux witches are back in full force, with a return from the grave that shakes the very foundations of their magical world. The intricacies of shapeshifters, hybrid warlocks, and the battle for power between the Drakens and the Ursa Clan added such rich layers to the plot. Every family is out for control, and every character is more complex than they seem, making every twist feel unpredictable and satisfying.
But the heart of this story? The passion that sparks between the characters, the weight of their relationships, and the constant battle between loyalty and self-preservation. I adore the way Ivan’s emotions are tied to the larger political and magical stakes. Sánchez doesn’t just craft characters who are caught up in a magical war—she weaves deep emotional conflicts that had me hooked from the very first page.
For anyone who loves a dark, dangerous world filled with magic, intrigue, and deep personal stakes, Cast in Blood is an absolute winner. I couldn’t put it down, and I can’t wait to dive deeper into this supernatural world with the next book!.
Oh honey, brace yourself because Silvana Sanchez has done it again with "Cast in Blood," the latest roller coaster in Ivan Lockhart's blood-soaked saga. If you’ve been keeping up with her Bad Boy Shifters of the Unnatural Brethren, you’re in for a treat. This book runs parallel to "Embers of Fate," so if you’ve devoured that one, you’re already primed for some juicy details.
I’d love to dish all the tea, but let’s keep it spoiler-free, shall we? Just know that every time you think you’ve got it all figured out, Sanchez pulls the rug right out from under you. Her pen drips with wicked surprises, throwing you back to square one just when you’re feeling smug.
Sanchez dives deep into the psyches of her characters, painting them in such vivid shades of gray that even the shadows come to life. Her talent for world-building shines once again, weaving magic through every page and binding her intricate characters together in ways that will leave you breathless.
Now, let’s talk about that plot twist. Or rather, let’s not—because I’m not about to spoil the delicious tension that Sanchez has crafted so masterfully. You’ll just have to experience that jaw-dropping moment for yourself. And the cliffhanger? It’s classic Sanchez, leaving you dangling and desperate for more, knowing full well she’s going to make us wait.
So, darling, grab a comfy seat and get ready for a wild ride. "Cast in Blood" is a whirlwind of intrigue, magic, and heart-stopping moments that you won’t want to miss. Hold on tight, because this book is one hell of a journey.
Thus is book 3 and you need to read them in order for complete understanding. This addition to the series is filled with magic, heat and energy. The plots continue to grow and fascinate. They draw you in and don't let go. World building is expertly wielded thru out the series. And the characters are stunningly depicted. Fascinating series and I cannot wait for more. Recommend.

I'm sure others will enjoy this story; I just did not get into like I usually do Silvanna Sanchez's books. We have different supernatural, and the story continues where it left off. We have a character that we thought was dead come back, how will Ivan react to this? Ivan is dragged back to where he said he will never go again. When he gets there, he has a surprise waiting.

This is book 3 in The Unnatural Brethren and another fantastic addition to this series it’s getting exciting with Ivan’s dead brother Viktor but I will let you find that out for yourself, so sorry guys no spoilers this is a fantastic continuation and I can’t wait to read more and I highly recommend this book/ series.
I had really high hopes for this one after absolutely devouring the second book.
Honestly this one was a step down for me. It brought a lot of the issues I had with the first book back to light, and the storyline didn’t hold up as well as it did in the first two books.
Still a good read just not as good as the previous two in my opinion.
I'm struggling with writing a review, as I don't want to spoil it.
But this book was my favourite so far.. There are so many OMG moments that I had goosebumps whilst reading. The story just keeps getting better and better.
I absolutely adore this authors writing, and I am definitely gonna check out every book they have..
This is another great addition to this unique paranormal world, where the reader gets a picture of many different Supernaturals that made this story a read that I will surely remember. I just Loved It! No Spoilers!.

Another fantastic instalment in the series. And it just keeps getting better! Plenty of twists and turns to keep me interested. Would recommend. Cannot wait for the next book.

This is quite enjoyable to read. I know they say not to judge a book by its cover, but the first thing that drawled me into this book was the cover and the first chapter really gets you hooked.

Dragons and vampires and ghouls oh my! The city of romance is in turmoil and Ivan has his work more than cut out for him. A fun read with great characters!
I listened to this as an audiobook. I enjoy the narrator's voice. I feel like the book jumped around. The characters seemed to like switch personalities slightly.
This was my favorite of the 3 books. The plot had me hooked and by then end I even wanted to get to the next series. Cassandra and Dristan's story is what made this book for me
