Secret Baby For My Brother's Best Friend

Alex is my brother's arrogant best friend, an enemy with a perfect face.

His presence triggers emotions that I struggle to suppress.

Dealing with job search challenges and disappointment, I prefer not to be around Alex.

Eventually, Alex offers me a nanny job, and accepting it initiates a complex relationship.

Tensions rise, and in the heat of the moment, the line between hatred and desire blurs.

I know I shouldn't be attracted to my boss, but his good looks, hot body, and strong muscles make it hard to resist

Once again, I've agreed to play the role of his fake fiancee, solely to help him secure his inheritance.

This act led to me getting pregnant.

Perhaps, this mistake could turn out to be my favorite mistake after all.

Did Not Finish
July 14, 2026
DNF at chapter 8, page 39.
I was already so sick of having to reread sentences to figure out what the author was trying to say with very poorly written and incorrect grammar.

I had already reached the point of only wanting to finish the story to figure out how the title fit in to what I was reading. Single mother looking for a job and the man she doesn’t like being by a single father now in need of a nanny. How exactly does that become Secret Baby for my Brother’s Best Friend? Was it her current child? Or does she end up pregnant with another? That’s the only part I cared about at this point.

And when I checked the reviews on Amazon to see what the book was rated and saw a glimpse of some of the written reviews, I saw them mentioning an entire chapter missing!!!!! I checked my version, and yup. Not there. And that discovery solidified my decision to stop wasting my time on this garbage. (Also, I got my answer from one of those reviews. Not that it was too much of a shocker. The authors poor writing already lead me to the conclusion that she was going to put that little “twist” in.)

And I’m also pretty certain that the incident that was very briefly mentioned about why they do not like each other is just a miscommunication. (And if so, the author sure was trying to fit as many tropes as possible into this. She should have spent more time on editing and maybe it wouldn’t have turned out so poorly.)

Also, I am baffled and confused about the 5-star ratings that this book received. Either they were paid reviews, people who didn’t actually read it, or maybe they somehow got a version of the book that was more edited and complete?

Either way, if anyone reads this, don’t waste your time reading this book. At least, not until the author puts out an updated version. IF they put out an updated version.

Worst book if read in years.
My favourite genre so I was looking forward to reading this one however it was awful I’m afraid.
Several parts of this story just made no sense with the time-line. Alex relationship with his mother made no sense it was just bizarre.
It had several grammatical errors which caused some parts to be unreadable he’s and she’s constantly mixed up.
The hospital scenes did not work doctors wouldn’t say anything like what was portrayed.
Timelines, well there were none, for example Alexa was supposed to be in hospital another two weeks yet the next day she’s home.
I struggled reading this as it was so poorly written.
I would absolutely not recommend it.

Grammatical errors were too much

Several parts of this story just made no sense with the time-line. It had several grammatical errors which caused some parts to be unreadable and I just had to skim through just to get the gist. What I can only assume to be the climax of the story was missing, as in ALL of chapter 33.

good story

A little disappointed that an entire chapter was missing. I was able to figure out what happened vaguely but would have been nice especially since it was a turning point chapter

Very confusing and all over the place. Lots of unanswered questions about how FMC and MMC bullied each other in past.
