As a crafter and an Etsy shop owner this book was magnificent! The organization of the book made it easy to follow and allowed for each of the crafts to be located quickly and without any hassle.
The crafts represented a large enough variety that it included multiple types of crafts and was helpful to people whether they sewed, created trinkets with Polymer clay or crocheted. I really enjoyed the fact that there was a variety of different craft types and that each craft was unique.
That being said the one thing that I LOVED about this craft book was that the instructions for each craft were concise and easy to follow. When I look up patterns for crafts one of the main things that helps me determine which pattern to use is how easy it is to understand the instructions. This book gave instructions that are easy to follow for those new to each particular type of craft as well as simple for those who are just looking for a quick pattern instructions. I liked the fact that this book was inclusive to all skill levels and made sure that the crafts involved didn't cater specifically to experts or beginners. I also thought it was a good idea to put the actual pattern in the back of the book along with how large they need to be copied in order to fit the instructions.
Overall I was extremely pleased with this craft book and will definitely be using it very frequently to create wonderful items for myself and my friends!
This book is amazing!! It's full of so many awesome crafts based on the Cartoon Network show, "Adventure Time". I honestly want to make every single project in this book! I love that there are projects for all skill levels. Not ready to try sewing Finn's hat or the Jake plush? You can try the itty bitty felt finger puppets or bobby pins! All of the projects can be done exactly like the examples in the book, but the author also encourages the reader to make changes and add personal touches to each project. I just love that creative thinking is really encouraged, especially since this book will appeal to a young audience. It's so great to encourage kids to think outside of the box!
Most of the projects seem very inexpensive to make as well. I think $5-$10 and a trip to the local craft store could get you started on almost all of the projects. Many involve felt and they should be pretty foolproof since patterns are included in the back of the book for you to photocopy.
In case you didn't notice, the authors of this book are Chelsea Bloxsom and Princess Bubblegum herself! The intros to all of the projects are written in the princess' voice, and they are seriously fun to read! Even if you don't ever make any of the projects, an Adventure Time fan will love reading Princess Bubblegum's descriptions and looking at the annotated illustrations throughout the book.
This book is a surefire way to make any tween, teen, or adult fan of Adventure Time a happy camper!

I don't usually add crafting books to my "read" pile because they don't get read in the usual way; it's more of a dipping in here and there as I attempt the projects. But in this case, I'm going to make an exception because this book is fabulous and I read it cover to cover without stopping. I love Bloxsom's tone throughout the book: you don't need to spend a ton of money to make these projects, and be original and do what you think would look good. Although some of these might be challenging for a beginning crafter, there's a wide range of activities in the book so that parents and kids alike can make and do things together. The more challenging projects will definitely need an awesome adult's help, but the results they produce should be well worth the effort. Give it to your favorite Adventure Time fan!
I'll admit it: I hate Adventure Time. I don't understand why it's so popular. But, I do love the henchpenguins and crafts, so I got this book from the library anyway.
Aside from it being Adventure Time, there were some really cool craft ideas in here --and if you have an AT-Lover in your family, there are some promising projects here. I particularly liked the Crochet Cozies and Candy Kingdom Friendship bracelet.
Nothing here isn't anything you can't find online though, so don't shell out the cash if you don't have to --or, do as I did, and borrow from the library!
This was an awesome teen craft book complete with patterns and filled with crafts for many different skill levels. When the teen librarian saw this in my hand she immediately said we have to buy this. a great book for all the diy's out there. I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.
This was a cute book that I picked up hoping for inspiration for a teen program. I really liked the finger puppets and theater, but that may be a little beyond the abilities of teens in an hour long program unless they already sew. Otherwise, I really liked the Fionna and Finn hats for myself, as well as the BMO Phone and Tablet Cases. Super cute!
If you are a fan of the Adventure Time cartoon and characters, you will want to check out this great craft book. SO many wonderful projects for all ages and abilities... Read my full review: http://aboutfamilycrafts.com/adventur...
A very fun book! Wouldn't be able to replicate anything myself, but everything is neatly explained with full color pictures and easy step-by-step instructions. Makes you smile just flipping through the pages!
It's a super fun book with various Adventure Time themed projects. I think it's a great book for cosplay enthusiasts because it provides how-to instructions to make a Finn/Fionna hat and backpack, as well as your partners Jake and Cake.
